Chapter 21: Overclocked Incineration Cannon!!
A colossal foot, large enough to blot out the sun, descended from the sky. It crushed all the noise and clamor below, silencing everything with the deafening boom of an earthquake.
When the massive foot lifted again, the fleeing crowds, the towering skyscrapers, the exploding cars—everything was gone.
In that entire area, nothing remained but a gigantic, foot-shaped crater.
Looking upwards, one would see a titanic giant, thousands of meters tall, with muscles as tough as bedrock, walking the earth. Every step he took made the ground tremble and brought devastation to all living things.
The giant's head was adorned with pale bone armor. His deeply sunken eyes emitted a terrifying light as they swept across the surroundings. A necklace of massive red prayer beads was wrapped around his neck.
Clouds only reached his waist. The skyscrapers humanity took such pride in barely came up to his ankles.
The giant's gaze fell upon the city below. The once-bustling scenes now looked as laughable as toy models in his eyes.
Is this... the scenery seen by the strong...?
I have become truly powerful. I will make the world kneel!!
The giant let out a roar that shook the universe. The massive sound waves caused the ground for miles around to vibrate incessantly.
He swung his palm. The violent wind generated by the motion acted like a massive air cannon, instantly erasing an entire fan-shaped district next to him.
Perched on the giant's shoulder was a middle-aged man with messy hair, a gaunt figure, and a white lab coat. He was shouting excitedly, his eyes bloodshot with mania.
"Yes! This is the power! I possess the ultimate intellect! And you, brother, possess the ultimate physical strength! Together, we brothers will rule the world!!"
This terrifyingly powerful giant was actually the scientist's younger brother.
The younger brother had always yearned to be strong, training his muscles relentlessly every day.
Until one day, his older brother, the scientist, invented a special drug called the "King of Steroids" (Biceps King).
The younger brother eagerly swallowed the drug. His head immediately turned pointy, and then he mutated into this horrific, colossal form.
Just as the scientist was fantasizing about his future reign, a cold voice drifted into his ears.
"Are you the creator of this monster?"
The scientist's pupils constricted sharply. He looked to the side in terror, his mind reeling with disbelief.
Impossible! We are thousands of meters in the air!
"Who's there?!"
He turned his head in a panic, only to see a cyborg with short blond hair staring dead at him with a fierce gaze.
Genos raised his palm cannon. Energy containing scorching heat gathered in his hand as his tone grew colder.
"Answer my question. The fact that you can stand on this giant's shoulder proves your relationship is unusual. Did you create this giant?!"
Realizing it was just a cyborg, the scientist immediately switched to a dismissive attitude. He spread his arms and shouted excitedly:
"That's right! Do you see the giant beneath my feet? That is my brother! He is the God of the New World! We brothers will stand at the pinnacle of this world!"
Seeing the scientist monologuing excitedly again, Genos's expression froze. He shook his head helplessly.
"A hopeless lunatic. Since this giant is your creation, and he has caused so many casualties, you deserve to die."
As his voice fell, the incinerator port in his palm began to spin rapidly. A beam of violent, blazing light tore through the void, heading straight for the scientist.
The scientist was scared out of his wits. Forgetting his passionate speech, he scrambled and performed a desperate combat roll on the giant's shoulder.
Surprisingly, his reaction speed was quite fast—he actually managed to dodge Genos's first shot.
Having failed to kill with the first strike, Genos didn't hesitate. He quickly raised both hands, charging both palm cannons simultaneously.
The threat of death enveloped the scientist. He abandoned all dignity and screamed like a madman:
"Brother! Enemy! There's an enemy on your shoulder! Kill him quickly!"
The giant heard the shout. Out of implicit trust in his brother, he raised his massive palm. Wrapped in a fierce gale, he slapped his own shoulder with devastating force.
SMACK!
Genos, having sensed the danger beforehand and flown into the air, watched the colossal hand land on the shoulder and stared blankly.
What just happened?
The giant felt like he had squashed something. He opened his palm to take a look.
A smear of bloody pulp, mixed with the tatters of a white lab coat.
The giant froze for several seconds. Then, his eyes widened in disbelief, and a howl of grief echoed through the sky.
"BROTHER!!!"
His massive feet stomped the ground, creating deep crater after deep crater. He clenched his fist in agony, hot tears streaming from his huge, cloudy eyes.
Why... why did this happen...
"We agreed... we brothers agreed to become the strongest in the world together! Why did you leave me like this, Brother! WHY!!"
Suddenly, the giant's gaze locked onto Genos hovering in the air. His eyes turned blood-red as he entered a berserk state.
"You killed my brother! I'll kill you! A world without my brother is meaningless!"
While the giant was venting his rage, Genos had already finished charging.
He could clearly feel that the giant in front of him was incredibly powerful. The sheer, unprecedented size alone said everything.
Therefore, a normal Incineration Cannon would be useless.
Thanks to the giant spending time expressing his painful feelings, Genos had a full ten seconds to charge. He poured every ounce of energy he had into this one move.
"Overclocked Incineration Cannon!!"
A beam of crimson fire, crackling with arcs of lightning, erupted. The destructive energy left a trail like a comet's tail in the sky. Like an enraged dragon, it slammed viciously into the giant's face.
BOOM!
Waves of energy rippled outward from the point of impact. The intense shockwave blew away all the surrounding clouds.
A direct hit! He didn't even try to dodge!
In Genos's estimation, no matter how strong the opponent was, taking an Overclocked Incineration Cannon to the face should at least cause severe damage.
However, in the next second, reality shattered his understanding once again.
When the energy fluctuations and the drifting smoke cleared, the Titan's head was completely unharmed. There was only a slight scorch mark on the spot where he had taken the direct hit.
