A one-on-one duel is the easiest way to seize a clan's power; in Arthas's plan, the gnolls were just a predictable race. He intended to conquer a few of their clans to control them for himself. If these powers are used, they might be useful when Orgrim launches an attack on Lordaeron. Silencing those nobles to prevent them from saying things like 'unworthy' is essential.
Of course, Arthas had never considered redeeming these gnolls; it was entirely unnecessary. They were merely tools. The label of just being stupid savages should prove useful in a few of his plans.
Ding! Arthas directly used the Shield of the Avenger as a starting move, knocking Tusk off balance, then quickly charging forward.
"You want to die!" Tusk furiously yelled. Just after recovering from his rigidity, he saw Arthas charging towards him and swung his large cleaver down hard!
The cleaver collided with the shield, producing a blinding flash of golden light; Tusk screamed and staggered back a few steps. Seizing the opportunity, Arthas plunged his sword deep into Tusk's eye socket, causing a shrill, mournful sound in the air as if even space could be shattered by the blade's edge.
The turbulent shockwave nearly crushed Tusk's head, and the holy light erupted, blasting him away. A skilled fight can be decisive in a moment; Arthas calmed the turmoil in his heart. For a brief instant, he felt as if his head had been locked on by his opponent, an unavoidable feeling. If the block hadn't been strong enough to stop the opponent's deadly blow, his head might have rolled!
Unlike the back-and-forth in movies, what Arthas experienced was a life-and-death battle, not sparring. Unless he couldn't kill the opponent, he would aim for weaknesses like the head, eyes, and neck; one lethal strike was far more efficient than mere slashing.
"Huff, huff." Arthas took a breath, looking at the worgen in front of him, "You are summoned and will become my private army. Follow my rules, and you will be fed, and no one will hunt you. Violate my rules, and I will hang you from a tree, letting the crows peck away your flesh piece by piece. You wouldn't want to experience that feeling, having your limbs broken, covered in honey, and tossed into an anthill. Just think about being eaten alive, heh!"
Arthas's words made all the gnolls around them to shiver uncontrollably. Their intelligence wasn't high, but no one could match their fear of death. It was truly frightening, inducing a sense of despair and terror.
"For His Highness the Prince!" The gnoll Ogg knelt on the ground, displaying a pious demeanor; even he didn't know why. But if he missed this opportunity, he might never return to the position of chieftain. Is it shameful to side with humans? Yes! But siding with a prince of the humans isn't shameful; rather, it's glorious! Other gnolls exchanged glances, and under Ogg's roar, they slowly knelt, bowing to a human.
The attendants and Calia looked at Arthas with disbelief, their surprise turning into admiration. This prince they followed could even speak the language of the gnoll? He could conquer the gnolls? Although they didn't know why His Highness had his eye on these gnolls, they didn't need to ask about what he wanted to do; they only needed to know and execute it.
"Ogg, you are now the chieftain of the Grayfang Clan, managing the clan on my behalf," Arthas said to the gnoll in front of him. He didn't have time for in-depth conversations with these bloodthirsty humanoids.
To control a race, he only needed to secure a few loyal subordinates; once the management was in place, everything else would follow. As for the gnoll below? They would follow whoever provided food; they would charge into battle without hesitation.
"Ding, mission 'Foreign Fanatic' completed. Foreign fanatic: Ogg was very moved after hearing your suggestion; let absolute power and wisdom make him submit!
Content: Help Ogg become the chieftain of the Grayfang Clan. Mission reward: Ogg transforms into a zealous follower. Ding, Ogg has transformed into a zealous follower."
As the system's voice fell, a holy light descended upon Ogg. The previously somewhat frail gnoll grew taller, his fur radiating a hint of golden light, and strange runic patterns appeared on his body. Strengthened by the strange power, Ogg let out a roar, unleashing a wave of holy light that healed the nearby injured worgen!
He continued towards Arthas, dropped to his knees, pressed his forehead to the ground, with his mouth touching the soil and his claws on the ground, displaying extreme humility to pay his respects to his master.
"Ogg greets his master and thanks for the master's blessing."
"Hey, human over there, hey, I'm Omiya Rensha, nice to meet you, my friend. Time is money, my friend. If you save me, I'll pay you one gold coin. How about it! This is a gold coin from the Bilgewater Cartel, very valuable, definitely not some inferior coin from a venture capital company!" A pretty girl gnome with typical green skin was waving at Arthas from inside a wooden cage.
