Chapter 75 - New Quest!

Arthas put away his lecherous gaze and found a place to sit down. He was also very bold, but he didn't expect that as a sorceress, Elisande would have such good stamina! If given the chance, he would definitely let her take the lead and save his own energy, while enjoying the sight of her bouncing figure! Slap! Arthas slapped himself to wake up a little.

"We need to dispel the dream curse; the dream erodes our spirit. To be honest, I was brought here by a green dragon. She asked me to help solve the nightmare's erosion issue. How about you? How many times have you come in?"

"This is my third time." Elisande slightly nodded at Arthas, clearly appreciating his earlier self-slap a little. A man in heat isn't shameful, but it's disgraceful to be unable to control his arousal at all times, regardless of the setting. If you neglect important matters just to satisfy your lust, that's beastly.

"Which green dragon are you talking about?"

"Ysera, can you take me to find her?" Arthas didn't hold back; even if she was a spy, seeking trouble with a guardian dragon was clearly a foolish act. Even a weakened Dragon Aspect could possess the power to destroy a kingdom, let alone one at their full power.

Elisande shook her head, her fingers caressing the exquisite magical ring on her hand, "I don't know where she is. I don't have a good way to break the nightmare either."

"Then how did you get out the last two times?" Arthas was a bit curious, "The nightmare world isn't like a public restroom; you can't just come and go as you please, right?"

"Public restroom? Haha, that's a very apt metaphor." Elisande smiled charmingly and poured two glasses of treasured wine. "I left magically; I set a up a magic spell that would wake me up after some time."

"Alright, can you tell me why you came in? Seeking power? Or looking for some memories?" Arthas took the wine and continued drinking. Although he was in a nightmare, he still felt thirsty. Everything here felt so real, as if he was truly in this environment.

Elisande clearly didn't want to discuss this topic and turned to look at the cave entrance, "It's safe here. Until you come up with a plan, we won't be caught."

"Well, I know some fleets that have been to the Broken Isles, which is said to be large, at least the size of half the Kalimdor continent. There's always been legends about Suramar City, but no one has ever seen or set foot in that area." As Arthas spoke, he observed Elisande's expression, which had not changed much throughout.

"There was a human mage named Aegwynn; she defeated the incarnation of Sargeras and sealed him in the Temple of the Moon, which then sank into the sea. Do you recall?"

At this point, Elisande's expression changed slightly, her beautiful eyes narrowing slightly, "I've seen her. She's strong, but only to a limited extent."

For Elisande, a powerful sorceress who had lived for thousands of years, to say someone was strong proved Aegwynn's power was truly formidable. Years ago, the title of Guardian was created by human mages to protect humanity. Each generation of Guardians would infuse their power into a staff to be stored for the next generation, passing it down through the ages, allowing the already extraordinary Guardians to gain even greater power and the ability to resist evil.

Whether a race has strong individuals is extremely important. Why are worgen, kobolds, murlocs, and tuskar always despised? Isn't it because they lack a powerful protector behind them? Why have high elves become increasingly cold towards humans, and even failed to send mages to help in this orc war?

It's because the strongest Guardian has died, slain by their own kind due to corruption. Without a powerful backing, it becomes natural for ordinary people beneath them to be overlooked. Of course, there are also no absolute strong individuals among the high elves; there hasn't been much friction between the two sides. They are cold but not hostile, unlike trolls, who view it as a matter of life and death upon meeting.

"If there's a chance, I'd like to make a deal with you, a deal with you from Suramar City." Arthas's expression became serious. Azeroth is home to too many miraculous creatures and forces; every surviving entity is not to be trifled with. Don't let Suramar's isolation fool you; inside, the resources are abundant enough to amaze anyone.

"Sure, if you manage to survive and get out. Do as you wish; I need to meditate and rest for a moment." Elisande closed her eyes and stopped speaking, clearly entering a meditative state, her posture resembling deep slumber.

"Ding, quest activated: The Trial of Grand Magistrix Elisande."

"The Trial of Grand Magistrix Elisande: If you wish to trade with the Nightborne, you must prove your strength and courage; the Nightborne do not cooperate with mortals. Quest Requirement: Leave and resolve Elisande's nightmare. Quest Reward: Unlock Nightborne (Nightborne) reputation, and gain entry to Suramar City."

One after another, these quests had left Arthas somewhat numb. Well, what can you do when there are too lemons, you make lemonade.

Calming his mind, Arthas began to carefully think about how to resolve the nightmare crisis. In a game, one would just have to follow the quest prompts and complete tasks step by step. It was merely about collecting some resources, defeating a few monsters, completing some speed races, and running errands to finish it. But in reality, it was clearly not that simple; he was given a task, and that was the end of it. How to complete it relied entirely on his imagination!

"Wait, imagination?" Arthas seems to have discovered something; he re-checked the quest.

"Nightmare's Test: Ysera is not in heat; it appears she's being taken advantage of, but she actually wants to test whether you can dispel the nightmare aura. Resolve the nightmare's entanglement; in the mental realm, you could even instill fear in Titans. Clear the nightmare 0/1, Quest Reward: Emerald Dream pass and coordinates for the Emerald Dream map."

A clash in the mental realm! This means that he is not physical, and as long as he dreams strong enough, can he also become invincible? It's akin to dreaming and encountering a ghost; a normal person would be scared to the point of wetting themselves and frantically escaping, while the brain begins to formulate an escape process, encountering what happens, whether one dies or survives, and so on.
