Chapter 61 - New Wife Obtained!

Never has there been a time when a good fortune descends from the heavens without expecting something in return; the Deathwing suddenly presents such a grand proposal. Why is this? Arthas cannot help but speculate, would such a villain simply yield because of the Titans?

Let's not talk about how the Titans are just a mere presence. Could there be a conspiracy here? No, it's surely a conspiracy!

No matter what it is, Arthas feels that eating Onyxia right now might not be the best course of action, so he said to Deathwing.

"I already have a wife."

"Don't pretend to be a virtuous person; I know you are not. If you have strength, there is no problem in finding many others; I will not oppose it. Onyxia, what do you think?" Deathwing turned to ask his daughter, his calm gaze unknown in what thoughts it was lost.

"I know that both you and Nefarian hate me, and you wish for my death due to how I raised you. I have indeed made mistakes in the past; madness and losing reason are not excuses. This is the last inheritance I leave to you. I believe you can lead the black dragons to revival."

Onyxia looked complexly at Deathwing, "I will listen to you, father."

"Hmph, you need to start to having your own ideas. You cannot just listen to me; even if I am your father, you should have your own thoughts. Now you can consider what I have said; you are the new leader of the black dragons, and you must think about the entire flight."

Deathwing reprimanded, in fact, he was merely passing the burden of the nearly extinct Black Dragon Flight to his daughter. With his daughter's beauty, it would be easy for her to entice Arthas, allowing her to escape Malygos's pursuit and survive, which obviously is the best option.

Before Onyxia could speak, Malygos impatiently asked, "Human, can you resurrect Sindragosa?"

"I don't know; I am also not sure. If there is a chance, I will take a look. She has been dead for ten thousand years; resurrection is very difficult, moreover, many things are hard to say. The probability is probably going to be extremely low." Arthas shook his head; he currently has a bunch of things on his mind and isn't in the mood for these troubles.

"Fine, but as long as you can resurrect Sindragosa, my blue dragon clan will obey your commands while you are alive!" Malygos made a direct promise, showing his deep affection for his wife. Although he had other partners, they were concubines and could not compare with a wife.

"Ding, task to resurrect Sindragosa accepted."

'Resurrecting Sindragosa: This blue dragon queen sacrificed in the War of the Ancients, dying after being severely injured by Deathwing. Resurrect her in her full form. Task reward: You will gain the loyalty of the blue dragon clan. (Tip: Guardian Freya might be able to help)'

Oh! Another task, and it's an exceedingly difficult one! Arthas felt a headache coming on; fortunately, there was no time limit. Resurrecting her in full form means it's not a resurrection via necromancy, which is hard. Furthermore, the following prompt made Arthas feel extremely troubled; after all, Freya is still trapped in Ulduar, and rescuing her was probably going to be just as hard!

"Ding, task to marry Onyxia obtained."

'Marrying Onyxia: To make Onyxia the new Earth Guardian, you must marry her according to Deathwing's demand; only then will he give Onyxia all his wealth and power.'

'Task reward: Onyxia becomes your spouse, Onyxia becomes the new Earth Guardian, leader of the black dragon legion, and gains the Heart of the Land.'

Is there still a need to refuse this? Of course not, I will accept! Arthas had no idea how dire the situation of the Black Dragon flight was, but no matter how desperate it was, it would be a great help to him.

"Sure, I accept." Arthas looked at Onyxia, "Do you agree?"

"Can I even refuse?" Onyxia responded reluctantly, actually not wanting to become his spouse so quickly, as it meant she would have to do those embarrassing actions with him; it wasn't that she wasn't willing, it was just too fast. With so many things happening, she needed some time to adapt.

Meanwhile, Aurelia was watching with a grin; of course, she understood how powerful the dragon's influence was. If they applied pressure on Silvermoon City with the dragons, perhaps the council would agree to her marriage without fuss.

"Hell no!" Arthas said seriously, and then leaned closer to Onyxia's ear to whisper sweet nothings, "I have been thinking about you for a long time; you can't escape!"

"You bastard!" Onyxia's ears were tickled with his breath, making her feel both ashamed and angry. Even as she disguised herself as a noblewoman, the men had all danced to her tune, fighting duels for her, with brothers turning against each other and fathers becoming enemies with sons.

Yet, this high-society girl was being thoroughly subdued by Arthas, with no ability to resist. After making his decision, Deathwing stood on a control platform, while Onyxia also stood on another platform. The machine started, energy began to operate, extracting the Titan's power from Deathwing.

"Ahhh!" The repeated pain of power extraction made even Deathwing cry out; although he wouldn't die from it, the pain was enough to drive him to his knees. An energy kept his mind stable, but the body had nothing of the sort, it felt like he was going to implode. He wasn't sure if it was worth not going mad at this point.

Arthas watched Deathwing's screams with an expressionless face, already calculating how to force the Silvermoon Council to marry Aurelia to himself; he had witnessed the arrogance of those high elves. Visiting Quel'Thalas as a child, he went with his father, Terenas.

Those high elves looked down on others, with an exceptionally arrogant tone, rejecting negotiations and cooperation outright; their inexplicable pride and confidence led them to unprecedented arrogance.

With the seemingly endless energy of the Sunwell, they treated all factions with disdain. Especially the Silvermoon Council, treating all other mortal races with contempt; even when in cooperation, they insisted on making conditions that heavily favored themselves.
