Jett sighed, stepping back. "I'm really trying not to lose my mind right now!"
Jamie exhaled shakily.
"Just tell me what happened." Jamie said with a shaky voice.
He wasn't going to run away this time. He was ready to face the truth, even though that truth might crush him.
Jett was hiding something.
"I don't know what to believe."
The words came out small and defeated.
Jett's shoulders dropped. "Something did happen. But I don't think you want to hear it."
That one hurt more than anything else.
"I actually want to. I can't just ignore what I saw."
"She…um. The day we….uh." Jett stumbled over his words. But Jamie waited patiently, he didn't want to leave here without knowing the truth about the situation.
Jett sighed again, as if the words were too heavy to leave his mouth.
"Jett…." Jamie called and Jett turned to look at him. He was literally pleading with his eyes and it made Jamie wonder why Jett didn't want to talk about it.
