Night in Battle Kingdom was louder than day.
Markets glowed with BC-powered lights. Battlers walked openly, their ranks displayed like titles of pride. Strength here wasn't hidden.
It was currency.
Kenji stood on a balcony overlooking the city, bandages wrapped around his side.
"You should be resting," Aiko said, approaching.
Kenji replied quietly,
"If I sleep, I think."
Toya laughed softly.
"Man, you scared half the council today."
Ryo crossed his arms.
"Or impressed them."
Kenji didn't answer.
Below them, massive screens displayed rankings, missions, bounties.
That's when Kenji noticed it.
A symbol.
An eye-shaped mark embedded in the city seal.
His chest tightened.
That feeling again…
Someone was watching.
Elsewhere—
Deep within the royal sector—
Yumi stood alone in her room, hands clasped tightly.
"He stood against the council," she whispered.
"He didn't bow… not even to Father."
Her heart beat faster.
Fear?
No.
Admiration.
Curiosity.
Something more dangerous.
At the same time—
In a hidden underground chamber—
A communicator lit up.
A distorted voice spoke.
"Kenji has entered the Kingdom."
Another voice replied, amused.
"Good. Let him grow."
A blade scraped softly.
"Strong prey tastes better."
Far away—
A dark flame flickered.
And for the first time—
Kenji felt it clearly.
Battle Kingdom wasn't just a new land.
It was a cage of kings.
And he had just stepped inside.
