11.20am, Tuesday. Block B Floor 2.
Li Heng walked ahead of Cheng Xi who was slightly awkward. They moved from the crowded lobby of Block B to a quieter, less populated sector.
(Why is our meat this far away?) Li Heng silently grumbled to himself. He then looked back at Cheng Xi who was averting his gaze, while his right hand was putting in his right pocket.
Li Heng stopped and asked:
Li Heng: "Is there something wrong with me? You have been avoiding me this whole day"
Cheng Xi immediately shook his head and lifted both his hands
Cheng Xi: "Look, I'm just stressed okay?"
Li Heng: "Stress? About what?"
Cheng Xi then stunned and began looking around terrified which Li Heng found confused
Li Heng: "If there is someone threatening you, you can…Say it"
Cheng Xi: "No, there is nothing wrong with me. C'mon, we're late now" As he said, he began leading Li Heng to the storage room where the room was filled with various sport equipment on shelves, boxes filled with ashes, basketball balls on a metal tray and the freezer in the corner of the room
Li Heng walked upfront of the freezer and opened it, revealing bags of fresh meats and processed foods in sight while Cheng Xi went to open the lights and quietly locked the door
Li Heng: "Hey, how much should we take?"
Cheng Xi: "Probably as much as we can, we aren't running another supply run"
Li Heng: "Alright…"
Li Heng then begins to grab several bags of meat, not knowing that Cheng Xi silently approaching him
Li Heng: "Hey, can you help me carry some of them-" As Li Heng was still packing, a voice echoed his mind
Unknown voice: 'Dodge…right" He instinctively dodged to the right just as Cheng Xi tried to stab him but narrowly missed
Li Heng and Cheng Xi were both shocked at the revelation as the two of them stepped back from each other
Li Heng: "Why-WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" He shouted
Cheng Xi: "Please…They will let my family go if I killed you…Please. Just LET ME KILL YOU!!!" He screamed while bashing his knife onto Li Heng
Li Heng: "Help, HELP, HELP!!!" He continuously shouted but no one responded
Just as Cheng Xi was about to dash at him, time froze and the system screen reappeared again, this time with the menu, the same opinions but with a new warning line
[Yes]
[No]
[There will be no third chance of selection upon final rejection]
Li Heng hesitated, panicking and scared. His hands began circling around the 'Yes' and 'No' opinion, thinking about the consequences
(I don't want to die…) His hand was about to press 'Yes' before the voice, now a female voice said:
Unknown Voice: "Don't press it...You saw...What happened...…" The female voice said with a warm prescene and Li Heng calmed slightly
Li Heng: "Who are you?" No respond
Li Heng: "I ASKED WHO ARE YOU?!" Still no respond
Li Heng tried to move but was unable as he was forced to look at the system screen and its opinion. After a long hesitation, Li Heng pressed 'No' and the system screen began filling with [ERROR] signs before levitating to the air with a halo glow and-
POOF
It was gone as soon as it appear and time resumes again with Cheng Xi nearly stabbing Li Heng in the chest but suddenly the knife's direction bended slightly and missed Li Heng by several inches
Cheng Xi: "WHAT-HOW?!" He shouted but Li Heng kicked him into a shelf filled with sports equipment. He lay on the ground however the upper shelf with a box of bowling ball fell and landed on his head with a loud-
BANG.
Cheng Xi's head cracked alongside splashes of blood and brain tissues spattered everywhere. The balls then rolled to every direction with one hitting Li Heng's leg
Li Heng: "Cheng Xi…You okay, buddy?" He asked, no respond
(No, no, no, no,no. I didn't do it, I didn't do it, I didn't do it. It was an accident, it was an accident, it was an accident, it was an accident-)
Li Heng: "IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!!" He screamed with his hands covering his head
Li Heng quickly got up and fled the scene as he rushed out of the college, still silently muttering to himself. Meanwhile the two men looked inside and one whistles
'Bodyguard' 1: "Not bad, kiddo" He muttered to himself while looking at Ching Xi's corpse
'Bodyguard' 2: "Save it, let's clean this up before someone else spotted this"
The first bodyguard then called on his radio
'Bodyguard' 1: "Clean up crew, we need an immediate clean up at B104. Watch up for hostiles in the area, out"
'Bodyguard' 2: "The mistress won't like this"
'Bodyguard' 1: "Yeah, me either"
The scene then turns onto a car driving in the highway,inside were two agents at the front wearing black suits, pants and glasses. They silently pay attention to their objectives before an older female voice was heard behind them
Female 1: "So, what's the mission?" No respond from both of them
Female 1: "I would at least want a detail of the mission" The passenger seat agent then hands her an incomplete profile of Li Heng and several photos of him
Female 2: "That's him? He looks easy to kill!" The other female voice said with a sadistic tone
Agent 1: "No, your orders are to protect him from any dangers. That is until we find him…Worthless"
Female 1: "We're assassins, not bodyguards. If we're doing this, we want a double"
Agent 1: "Getting you two out was already a triple" He said with a cold tone and he opens up the radio for a news report
Reporter 1: "-Authorities today have said that most of the North Korean immigrants have been recaptured except for the remaining two. Authorities are urging the public to be on the lookout for two North Korean girls that was last seen at the Chongqing International Airport-" He then turned the radio off and looked at them firmly
Agent 1: "Just to be sure, we can pull you out of the cage and push you back into it."
He coldly said however the younger female immediately placed a knife on his throat which the agent counters with a gun to her head
Agent 1: "I won't hesitate to shoot"
Female 2: "I like it!" She crazily said as she placed her head closer to the muzzle when the older female dragged her back to her seat
Female 1: "Enough, Karma. We'll accept the deal. After that, we go to the US and the payment, like our deal before"
Agent 1: "Very well, glad to have you on board. Ms Causality"
The car then continues driving into the center of Chongqing where no one expected
