The vehicle sped through the streets of D-City, quickly leaving the 20th Ward behind and entering the 7th Ward.
Half an hour later, Fushimi Kyo was dragged out through the restaurant's back entrance by the two ghouls.
"7th Ward… a restaurant?"
Kyo instantly understood who was behind all of this.
The Gourmet Shuu Tsukiyama.
In the original story, Tsukiyama had opened a ghoul-exclusive restaurant in the 7th Ward, serving human "dishes" of various flavors and methods of death.
He even slaughtered humans on-site to entertain his guests.
Back then, Kaneki after becoming a one-eyed ghoul had nearly been publicly dismembered here.
"So that pervert finally set his sights on me, huh?" Kyo sneered inwardly.
One of the ghouls picked up a phone and made a call.
"Master Tsukiyama, we've captured the human."
"Yes, he's been brought to the restaurant."
"That's right, RC-cell suppressants and anesthetics were administered. He has no mobility."
"Understood. We'll keep strict watch until you arrive."
After hanging up, the ghoul said coldly,
"Wash him. Change his clothes. Master Tsukiyama will be here in thirty minutes."
At that moment
The man lying on the floor slowly stood up.
Now that he knew exactly who was pulling the strings, Kyo decided it was time to prepare a proper gift.
"…How is this possible?"
"You should've lost all mobility!"
The two ghouls stared in horror.
"Heh. Naive," Kyo laughed softly.
"I was just playing along. That stuff doesn't work on me."
"Notify the young master something's wrong!" one ghoul shouted.
The other hurriedly grabbed his phone
Slash.
A blur flashed before his eyes.
Kyo appeared directly in front of him and seized his throat, lifting him off the ground.
"B-rank trash?" Kyo scoffed.
"Too weak."
His fist slammed forward.
Pshhk!
The punch pierced straight through the ghoul's abdomen.
"Y-you "
Before the sentence finished, his head lolled to the side.
Dead.
"One down," Kyo muttered, turning toward the remaining ghoul.
Watching his companion get instantly killed, the second ghoul nearly lost his sanity.
"D-don't kill me!"
"I was just following orders!"
"No matter the reason," Kyo said calmly, eyes burning with hunger,
"I really want to kill you right now."
"Because…"
"I'm starving."
From the moment he entered this restaurant, an overwhelming fragrance had flooded his senses.
It was like standing in the middle of a gourmet paradise, his mouth watering uncontrollably.
Knowing there was no escape, the ghoul chose to fight.
A crimson kagune burst from his shoulder blade, whipping toward Kyo.
Kyo reached out casually.
Crack.
He grabbed the kagune and crushed it in his hand.
The kagune shattered into a mist of blood and vanished.
The ghoul screamed in agony.
His eyes bulged in terror, sanity slipping away.
"M-monster!"
"Monster?" Kyo replied coldly.
"Then what are you?"
He kicked the ghoul hard.
The body crashed to the ground, curling and howling in pain.
"Tch. Pathetic."
Kyo stomped down.
A series of sharp bone-cracking sounds rang out.
Silence followed.
He crouched down, fingers curling into claws, and effortlessly tore the kagune sac from the corpse then shoved it straight into his mouth.
Ding! Devoured B-rank ghoul kagune, Evolution Points +2.

Ding
"This one wasn't bad," Kyo muttered.
"Fifteen points."
"Guess I'll eat the other one too."
At the same time
Inside a luxurious car, Shuu Tsukiyama, dressed in a pristine blue suit, gently swirled a wine glass.
The liquid inside was not wine.
It was freshly drawn maiden's blood.
"Hahahaha… Fushimi Kyo," Tsukiyama murmured in delight.
"A human who feeds on ghoul kagune."
"I've never encountered such an ingredient before."
"What flavor will he have?"
"Gentle sweetness? Or a deep, harmonious aroma?"
"To discover a new delicacy such joy surpasses even the discovery of a new star!"
"Endure, Tsukiyama… just a little longer."
He had no idea that the restaurant he was so proud of
Was about to be completely destroyed.
Back inside the restaurant, Kyo finished devouring both kagune.
Evolution Points gained: 28.
But with them came something worse.
A hunger that gnawed at his very soul.
Grrrr
His stomach growled loudly, screaming its protest.
Kyo slowly lifted his head.
His gaze pierced through the ceiling, toward the upper floor.
Having read the original story, he knew exactly what awaited him above.
"Looks like the diners are getting impatient," he murmured.
"But who's the hunter…"
"And who's the prey?"
"That," Kyo smiled darkly,
"…is still up for debate."
