Chapter 5 - Successor of Hell

Reaper and Hebi had come to the helicopter port to see Rohan off.

Reaper looked at him and said calmly,

"The helicopter will drop you outside the jungle. I am giving you only ten days for this mission. If it takes longer than that, or if you fail to take your revenge within this time... you will not be given this chance again."

Rohan lowered his head slightly and replied,

"Thank you very much, Leader."

He stepped into the helicopter.

The blades began to spin, and slowly the helicopter lifted into the sky.

Reaper and Hebi stood there, looking up as Rohan disappeared into the distance.

After a moment, Hebi finally spoke.

"Leader... why did you do this?"

She turned toward Reaper.

"Why did you send him alone on this mission? Do you really think he can handle it? He's not ready for something like this."

Reaper kept his eyes fixed on the sky and smiled faintly.

"What do you think?" he asked.

Hebi shook her head.

"He won't be able to handle it."

Reaper finally looked at her.

"You all were never worthy of him," he said quietly.

"You were his chains. And now the time has come for him to break free from those chains."

He paused.

"I see myself in him. And he is the only one who can take my place."

Hebi was stunned.

"But... why do you believe that?" she asked.

"I always thought you would choose Titan as your successor."

Reaper replied,

"I'll tell you why."

---

The scene shifts to Bastar Jungle - ten years ago.

Rohan was only ten years old.

This time, he was being trained in survival skills.

His task was simple... and cruel.

He had to survive alone in the jungle for one full week.

Find food on his own.

Find a place to sleep on his own.

Remain on high alert at all times.

No one would come to help him.

Even if he died-

no one would save him.

This jungle was not home to normal animals.

These were experimental creatures, ten times stronger than ordinary beasts-pumped with drugs.

Among themselves, they behaved like normal animals.

But the moment they sensed a human...

they went berserk.

They would not stop until either the human was dead-

or they were.

---

Three elephants lay dead on the ground.

One elephant still stood.

In front of it lay a child, barely conscious.

Yes-

that child was Rohan.

Elephants were normally peaceful creatures.

But these were not normal elephants.

A small herd of four had attacked Rohan.

Somehow... impossibly...

he had killed three of them.

The fourth remained-the leader of the herd.

And it was not willing to give up.

Rohan lay there, broken, crying, screaming at the top of his lungs,

"Go on! Kill me! I don't want to live in this hell anymore!"

At that moment, a man stepped forward.

It was Reaper.

He looked at the child and said softly,

"I'm sorry, kid... but your wish can't be granted."

He walked toward the elephant.

The elephant charged.

But Reaper dodged the attack and struck the elephant's head with a single punch.

The massive creature collapsed instantly-dead.

That day, for the first time in Hell,

a rule was broken.

And the one who broke it...

was none other than Hell's Reaper himself.

---

Hearing all this, Hebi was completely stunned.

"I can't believe it..." she said.

"You broke the rule... and Rohan killed three experimental elephants at the age of ten... alone."

Reaper replied calmly,

"He might even surpass me someday."

Then he added,

"But I don't think he ever will."

Hebi frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"You'll understand when the time comes," Reaper said.

With that, he turned and walked away.

---

The scene shifts again.

Rohan had now exited the jungle.

He turned both pockets of his pants inside out.

They were empty.

"No time left," he muttered.

"I have to wipe out four terrorist hideouts... and I don't even have money."

He clenched his fists.

"So... what do I do now?"

---

What will happen next?

What path will Rohan choose now?

The hunt has only just begun.
