CHAPTER 5: Out of the Box

"Then why, Mom?" Joseph asked, his voice shaking.

"Why did Mr. Robert commit suicide?"

Lucy took a deep breath before answering.

"His mental condition became extremely unstable," she said softly. "He started behaving like a madman. He couldn't eat properly. Whenever he tried, he would vomit blood."

"Was it some disease?" Joseph asked.

"No disease was ever detected," Lucy replied. "Physically, he was completely healthy."

"How is that even possible?"

Lucy hesitated for a moment, then asked quietly,

"Did you receive the tablet your grandfather left for you?"

"You know about it?" Joseph looked surprised.

"Yes," Lucy said. "When you were in America for your studies, your grandfather told me everything."

Joseph stepped closer.

"So… you know everything, Mom. Then tell me. Please."

Lucy placed her hand gently on Joseph's shoulder.

"Promise me one thing," she said softly. "

Don't leave me. I love you so much."

Joseph frowned.

"What are you talking about, Mom? Where would I go?"

"Oh—no, nothing," Lucy said quickly.

But Joseph noticed tears forming in her eyes.

She wiped them away, forcing a weak smile.

"You know everything, Mom," Joseph pleaded. "Please tell me. Please."

Lucy couldn't refuse her only son anymore.

"Joseph," she said slowly, "your grandfather discovered something."

"What kind of something?"

"Something that was never meant for humans," Lucy whispered. "If a human feels it… understands it… their mind breaks."

Joseph swallowed hard.

"You mean…"

"Yes," Lucy said. "Your grandfather also committed suicide."

Joseph froze.

"Did Grandpa learn something that humans were never supposed to know?"

"I honestly don't know," Lucy replied. "And I don't want to know. I don't want to go insane."

Time: 6:08 AM

Joseph clearly remembered something strange from the funeral.

Inside his grandfather's coffin—along with the dead body—he had seen papers.

Now, holding a shovel in his hands, Joseph walked toward the graveyard.

The cold morning air brushed against his skin.

Why am I doing this? he asked himself.

He found his grandfather's grave.

Without stopping, Joseph began digging.

Minutes felt like hours.

Finally—he hit the coffin.

Joseph opened it.

What he saw made his blood run cold.

The body that had been buried just a day ago… had already turned into a skeleton.

"What the f—" Joseph staggered back.

"Grandpa? How is this possible? Yesterday you were—oh my God…"

His thoughts spiraled out of control.

Still, he found what he was looking for.

The papers.

Joseph carefully closed the coffin, restored the grave as it was, and left the cemetery with the documents hidden under his jacket.

Back home, Joseph spread the papers across his desk and began reading.

Strange symbols filled the pages.

They weren't letters from any known language.

Each "word" looked more like a drawing—complex, twisted, impossible to describe.

Nothing made sense.

Except the final word.

God.

"A whole page… and the only readable word is God?" Joseph muttered.

Then realization struck him.

But Grandpa was an atheist.

Which meant—

Joseph rushed into his mother's room.

"Mom!" he said urgently. "Did you ever notice any changes in Grandpa? Anything about religion… or belief in God?"

Lucy thought for a moment.

"Yes," she admitted. "For several days, he kept repeating 'God… God…. God.' He became completely obsessed."

"But why?" Joseph asked.

"I don't know," Lucy replied. "I don't have that answer."

"Oh…"

Lucy looked at him suspiciously.

"How did you know about this?"

Joseph forced a smile.

"Just guessing. Nothing important."

He quickly left the room and returned to his own.

Joseph could feel pieces of the puzzle slowly coming together—but the truth felt unnatural.

Supernatural.

Was it really possible that learning the wrong truth could invite God's curse?

Joseph gathered every clue he had and tried connecting them.

The papers.

The suicides.

The madness.

And the Seven Skies Above.

Nothing made sense.

He couldn't sleep.

He couldn't study.

All he wanted was the truth.

What had really happened to his grandfather?

Lost in thought, Joseph eventually fell asleep at his desk.

The window was open.

Cold night air entered the room, brushing against his notebook.

The pages began turning on their own.

They stopped at one page.

On it—

Joseph had drawn a massive spaceship.

Because Joseph's real story… was only just beginning.

To be continued...
