Alan's POV
When I looked at Cassie I could see her beautiful face which had become even more beautiful but her fake smile which doesn't suit her face saddened me.
She wasn't telling me but I kept quiet because I realized she didn't want to share it with me.
I could only give her a polite fake smile. "Why are you guys here and how did you know I was here? " I asked the question why and how?
Cassie said in a soft voice, "Alan people are not blind like me, with your appearance it's hard for you to not attract attention and hide in the crowd." Cassie giggled and continued " A sleeper told us that someone with a knight outfit without his helmet came in outer settlement, and I could tell it was you because only you would be wearing a armor without helmet which protect your head".
"For your information without the helmet I look cool and a man must be cool" I said in a mock serious voice.
I had a small laugh but now it was time for business.
"Now tell me everything" I said in a sudden serious voice which cause the room temperature to drop a little.
"When did you guys arrive and why is everyone in this 'Outer Settlement' so tense?" I questioned Cassie with the question that has been in my mind since yesterday.
What has happened in these 4 months for her and Sunny to change so much.
"Alan you should sit first it's awkward for only you to stand" Cassie said while patting the grass beside her for Me to sit.
Cassie POV
I had feared whether Alan would actually arrive on the forgotten shore.
I thought the spell had protected him again and teleported him in a safe zone but I was wrong, His fate still hasn't changed so my four months wait wasn't wasted , He would be our key to escape this Shore.
But when I saw him I knew something was different and I realized 'Their plan is about to start' .
Alan was different, before the nightmare I could see his runes and fate but now it was void without any light.
I heared the sound of grass and Alan sitting beside me. I started telling him our journey till now, but I didn't tell him about the prophecy or the vision I had.
"When I first arrived at this region we called it the Forgotten Shore, I was alone but I quickly found Nephis who was also teleported to this region. We were discussing when we found Sunny approaching us. We three teamed up and started our journey"
I took a deep breath and continued
"Our journey lasted 3 months and we finally arrived at the City we were shocked, it wasn't the safe haven we thought it was. The Lord was a tyrant and people had to pay with soul shards to live in the castle. People who weren't able to pay were forced to live outside the wall and were starved. Nephis wanted to save them so she started a Group which would hunt and share their hunt. But this act of charity clearly caught the attention of the lord and now both faction are in a tense situation." I finished with a deep sigh.
I could see Alan wasn't that bothered and I knew he wouldn't even do anything if they don't disturb him. He wasn't the hero he just cared, not for this world but for his loved one. He doesn't see the right or wrong. They can't guilt him or anger as he is above that making him perfect
But I know his weakness or rather a crack in his perfect mirror, his weakness is his softness he is just too soft for his close one and would do anything for them to be happy.
I raised my hands toward him asking his help which is something he will never declined, he isn't the type to say no to his loved one.
"Alan I want you to help us overthrow the Lord and help us in leaving this hell"
Nephis who was sitting at the opposite side stared at Alan. She wanted him to join her, help her in her ultimate goal. But she knew, the choice lies on Alan himself.
Alan only took a moment to think and instantly took my hand .
I knew Alan will help me but still him taking my hand made me so happy, I smiled for the first time in this hell
"Be ready Love Of Heaven it's gonna be a long ride" I spoke in a low voice. I was now a step closer to my goal.
'With you we will overthrow Gaunlaug, become strong and challenge fate itself' This thought made me so excited that I almost started chuckling.
Alan POV
I looked at Cassie, she was giving me a genuine smile but for some reason I felt like something bad is about to happen, Meh I will regret it later.
