"He called you WHAT?!"
The Emperor's deep roar echoed through his private study, loud enough that I was certain half the palace could hear it. Or maybe slightly less than that.
I stood before his desk, my hands clasped nervously, while Lady Clarissa stood beside me looking guilty, and Rose more or less trembled near the door.
After our little…..adventure, we had returned back to news of the Emperor apparently searching for me.
And viola. Here I was.
I had no choice but to narrate the entire ordeal we had just endured, excluding the purple eyed man, and the Emperor was clearly less than pleased about it.
"Your Majesty, I—" I started.
"A mere slave master?!" The Emperor slammed his hand on the desk, making us all jump. "I have been searching for my precious daughter for years, and some pot-bellied bastard had the audacity to—" He turned to one of the guards stationed at the door, before turning to look at me again. "Roxanne. What is this man's name?"
