Kaitlyn: They looked around Anorrjak, for anything helpful in their odyssey. Until she spotted it, a space laboratory, a large one at that. "Look, over there! It's some sort of space station!' The knight began to pilot the starsail to the station. They spotted a hangar they could enter, and so they did. Once the starsail landed, they all hopped out. Kaitlyn turned around to 4 of the solar knights. "You 4 stay here. The Ophanim may have followed us, so you guys will need to keep watch. Alert us if anything happens." She, Maverick, and Viktor left and entered the station, which 3 knights followed. She walked down the hall, until they got to an elevator. They got inside, and pressed the button to go up. The elevator was slow. "So what's the plan?"
Maverick: "What, I thought you had the plan?"
Kaitlyn: "Why would I have the plan??"
Maverick: "You made us enter this station!"
Kaitlyn: "... fair enough." The elevator dinged, and the doors of it opened. They all stepped out of the elevator to see a large lobby, with holographic displays, but nobody inside. The only signs of life they saw were body parts and corpses, but for some reason they didn't rot. "What..happened here.." She looked around, and notices large signs leading to other parts of the station. 'Greenhouse, science facility, hospital, black hole research centre, lux cannon control, bridge'
Maverick: "Holy shit! This place has a CANNON??" He laughed, while continuing to look around.
Kaitlyn: "Let's split up evenly. Me and a knight will go to the black hole research center, Maverick and Viktor will go to the Lux cannon control room, and the other 2 knights, you guys.. go find some useful things." They all went to their places. Once her and the knight reached the black hole research center, they observed the room. It was a large rectangular room, full of modules to keep track of the stability of a black hole, and on the side of the room was a glass wall, leading into a massive circular structure, which they all appeared to be inside of. She looked at a bottom labeled 'Black hole cover: Active' and pressed it. Suddenly, a large circle in the center split open, revealing a small black hole, yet 2 massive energy cannons fired into it, keeping it docile. "Oh..my..god.." Her eyes stared fixed at the black hole. It had a purple-green accretion disk, yet it had no gravitational effect on anything. The knight behind her also looked in amaze at it.
Maverick: He entered the Lux cannon control room, Viktor following close behind. "H-holy shit! We have a cannon! Let's fire it." He ran over to a control panel, looking for a button that said 'fire'.
Viktor: "Hey!" He rushed over to Maverick, grabbing him aside. "We shouldn't just fire every cannon we see!"
Maverick: "Oh come on!" There was a large window view, which we could look out. He spotted in the distance, the void fleet of Vhal Horyn and the Void Queen had arrived. "Let kaitlyn know we have company!"
Viktor: "Got it!" He rushed over to the black hole research center..
Maverick: "In the meantime, I'm gonna fire this cannon.." He pressed the first big red button he saw, and the cannon began to charge up.
Kaitlyn: As she watched the black hole, suddenly energy began to be rapidly pulled out of it from 2 large machines on the top and bottom of the containment chamber. Viktor suddenly burst into the room.
Viktor: "Kaitlyn!" He panted, catching his breath. "The Ophanim fleet is back, and it appears they're with the Void Queen." He noticed the energy being drawn from the black hole. "Oh no.."
Kaitlyn: "Oh no? What do you mean oh no??"
Viktor: "Maverick fired the Lux cannon.." Suddenly, a holographic screen appeared on the window in front of the black hole. It appeared from outside of the station, next to the Lux cannon. The cannon fired a massive concentrated beam of light blue energy, it struck the void fleet like a supernova. Within milliseconds, half of their fleet was destroyed.
Void Queen: As the Lux beam struck the fleet, her ship shaked. She raised her arm out. She shattered the glass on the bridge unexplainably, sucking everybody beside her in the room out into the abyss. As stepped out onto the hull of the ship. She crossed his arm to her shoulder slowly as black void energy began to be drawn to it. "Be gone!" She fired a beam of dark energy at the Lux cannon, but it fired again. The 2 beams of energy clashed with near equal strength.
Maverick: He saw how the beams of energy were even, but the Lux cannon would soon power off. He took the chance to rush out of the room, heading straight for the black hole research center.
Void Queen: As the Lux cannon weakened, her beam of energy struck the cannon, destroying it instantly. She communicated with every man in their fleet, both the living and the undead. "Every vessel, lock onto that station and open fire. I will confront Kaitlyn and the others myself." In a flash of black light, she teleported into the station's hangar as the void fleet slowly approached. Her arms turned into blades as she struck down the 4 knights keeping watch. She walked into the elevator, but flew up through the ceiling, destroying the elevator in the process. She floated down onto the lobby, walking straight into the black hole research center. As she burst into the room, she shot a blast of energy at the last knight, killing them instantly. Her arms turned back to normal. The whole station began to shake as the void fleet bombarded it. "Kaitlyn..We are ending this, here and now!" Energy began to charge in her hand as she aimed it at Kaitlyn.
Viktor: "No!!" He lunged himself at the Void Queen, a knife in his hands, which he somehow had.
Void Queen: Her other hand shot itself into VIktor's skull, killing him on the stop. She tossed him aside as Maverick finally entered the room.
Maverick: "No!" His eyes glowed green in seconds, as he shot a beam of light at the Void Queen, causing her to vanish under a black hole with a green accretion disk that then disintegrated after she was gone.
Void Queen: In an instant she appeared as in that white void, where she could see all iterations of herself across every singular second in time. For a few seconds nothing happened, then she felt herself being erased across every point in time. But it never happened. Her dark form's energy began to stain the white void, painting everything black. In an instant, she appeared back to reality as quickly as she left. She turned around, slowly looking at Maverick. "You..Damn..PEST!" She shot a ray of energy at Maverick, but he managed to dodge instantly. As she turned back around, Kaitlyn had already summoned her scythe and used it to knock the Void Queen into the glass view, shattering the glass. The black hole's gravitational pull began to take effect on the station, beginning to crumble the area.. As the Void Queen began to get pulled into the Black Hole, she spoke unto Kaitlyn. "Do not think this will stop me! I will be back, and I will rip you limb by limb!"
Kaitlyn: "Yeah yeah whatever." She raised her leg and kicked Void Queen into the black hole, which consumed her almost instantly. Viktor's body was pulled into the black hole, and it hit her hard. She didn't see that Viktor had died at first. "No.." She didn't realize what had happened, she was too fixed on the Void Queen to realize.
Maverick: He grabbed Kaitlyn's arm, and began to pull her as they ran back to the hangar.
Kaitlyn: She ran with Maverick, but she didn't think. As they ran through the lobby, down the elevator, and took the starsail with Maverick piloting it, she couldn't help but cry at what happened. Just ahead the void fleet lurked, as the station was destroyed and pulled into the small black hole. The void fleet halted its barrage, turning away from the black hole.
Vhal: He spotted Kaitlyn and Maverick escaping. "All vessels, open fire on that starsail!" His entire fleet began to open fire on the starsail.
Maverick: Most of the void fleet shots missed, but a few hit the starsail. He rushed over to its back end, firing green blasts of energy back at the void fleet. "Kaitlyn! Help me!"
Kaitlyn: She pushed the mourning of her loss aside, and ran up to the back of the starsail. She summoned her mystical scythe and swung a wave of energy at the fleet. Within a second, a third of the remaining fleet was destroyed. She turned back to the larger black hole, Anorrjak. She called out to it. "Anorrjak! Help us, and we'll give you a world to consume!" She hoped that deal would have Anorrjak help them escape in return for a dead world for him to consume, but that hope was fading quickly.
Anorrjak: He spoke, and with it, the entire Tempest Eye began to shake and shift. "The deal is done." His voice sounded like a choir of 700 thunderstorms all striking with mighty lightning all at once. Within an instant, every asteroid within a million miles shot at the fleet, tearing it apart. As Vhal Horyn stood in the ruins of his dying fleet, his leading dreadnought he resided in turned towards Anorrjak.
Vhal: "Anorrjak! Why must a god like you choose a side in our war?! This battle is ours to fight and ours alone!"
Anorrjak: "I do not pick nor favor a side; I am the force that consumes this universe. And with it, my hunger will feast on your speck of dust that you call your galaxy." A massive arm of fire and plasma emerged out of Anorrjak's accretion disk. It reached out towards Vhal's ship, which their sizes compared was that of a grain of sand to a planet. The hand of the arm crushed the entirety of Vhal's fleet, and pulled their remains into the absolute void. The arm came out again and pointed at the starsail, firing a blast of fire. But the starsail did not burn, smolder, or wither away.
Kaitlyn: As Anorrjak's fire consumed her starsail, her and Maverick found themselves reappearing in the middle of random space, back in their timeline, in a flash of fire and light.
Maverick: He reached into a chest he found on the starsail, and pulled out a map of their timeline. "The Celestial Palace is within close distance. If we head now, we can get home in a week."
Kaitlyn: "Then let's go." She rushed over to the steering wheel, and set the starsail on a course to the Celestial Palace. Days went by, and nothing happened. Their food and water supplies ran low, dangerously low.
Maverick: He looked out into the distance, hoping for a sign. Then he spotted a planet that appeared to be an earth-like body, but they noticed almost half of the planet had turned gray, as if it were dying. "Look, a planet!"
Kaitlyn: She ran over to Maverick, looking at the planet with a spark of hope. "Maybe they have supplies!" She grabbed the steering wheel of the starsail, and piloted it down onto the planet's surface. As they hovered above, they saw spider-like creatures consuming everything, even the planet itself. This was the gray area they saw on the planet. The creatures had 10 legs, standing at 12 feet tall. They had a massive sack on the bottom of their body with 4 pincers at the bottoms, and the sack itself was covered in thousands of eyes. The top of the body was where the legs connected, and where about 3-4 talon-ended tentacles emerged, each about 20 feet long. Some of the creatures had tried to jump at the starsail and attack them, but they were too high. As the starsail entered an area with seemingly none of the creatures, the ground converging with lush green grass and dead gray dirt, she had the starsail land in an open area. She stepped out as one of the creatures lunged at them. She instantly drew his scythe and sliced the creature in half. Instantly, something told her exactly what they were. "The Cthonocar..galactic parasites. They consume entire worlds, eating at the very planets themselves to reproduce and survive.
Maverick: "It's best we rid this world of them. We won't be able to get rid of the Cthonocar entirely." As he spoke, a native alien ran towards them crying. They were humanoid, although a bit shorter on average. They had smooth white skin, and 4 eyes and arms. Their hair was wavy and this one was clearly a female. The alien tripped and landed before them, looking up, crying.
Kaitlyn: "Tonans, they're native to this world. I guess I will call this planet Tona." A group of about 27 Cthonocar burst out of a forest, charging at them. She swung her scythe and released a circular wave of energy. The energy disintegrated the Cthonocar horde and only them, but it did not stop there. The wave of energy began to spread throughout the planet, erasing the Cthonocar threat in only a few minutes. She reached down towards the Tonan girl, helping her up to her feet. The Tonan didn't know what to think, but then it began to speak in the unknown Tonan language, which Kaitlyn easily deciphered as a thanks. The Tonan grabbed Maverick and Kaitlyn, and began to bring them to her village. The village itself was large, about 500 Tonans. The Tonan girl revealed to her tribe what Kaitlyn did, and within seconds, the entire village began to swarm them, praising them. Kaitlyn tried to get them to calm down, but they wouldn't stop. Tonan natives handed them gifts, food, and half of the supplies in the village. The word of Kaitlyn and Maverick began to spread rapidly. Maverick began to carry the supplies and gifts back to the starsail, which Kaitlyn followed close behind. After an hour, they were ready to go. They packed up and the starsail lifted off. The Tonans watched the starsail leave in awe, shouting in glory and gratitude. As they left, Kaitlyn blew them a kiss.
Maverick: The starsail quickly reentered space, it blasted off towards the Celestial Palace. "Well, that was odd.." He stood at the front of the ship, watching the planet go by quickly and faintly.
Kaitlyn: She walked up beside Maverick. "Yes, but now I know something. Hope can still exist in the darkest hour for any one being or kind. I hope that girl will accomplish great things, even if we had no idea what they were saying."
Maverick: "Maybe once we get back to the Celestial Palace, I can get ready and head forward in time to see what will happen."
Kaitlyn: "Wow. Should've told me you could do that."
Maverick: "I control the temporal spectrum. I've erased beings from every point in time. You should know this by default."
Kaitlyn: "Yet you didn't erase the Void Queen? How unhelpful."
Maverick: "I tried. Didn't work."
Kaitlyn: "Yet a small black hole defeated her. You know, deities are strange."
Maverick: "I know.." 4 days later they arrived back at the Celestial palace. Kaitlyn went straight to her room and collapsed on her bed, exhausted. Maverick did the same thing. He pondered for a moment. He decided he wanted to check on the future state of Tona, and the crisis of the Cthonocar parasites.
