Chapter 27 - Megumi Fushiguro: Two Others.

I was mistaken. It wasn't just a single person. There were actually two of them: one leading the way, and one following from behind.

I could sense that one of them, through all my rabbit's senses, picked up a rabbit and started petting it. This means that they're not hostile to everything at the very least. I still have to be cautious, though.

I cautiously moved toward the area where the two were located. It was another pooled room, although a bit brighter than the rest, probably because of those two circular holes in the ceiling.

"Who's there!? Show yourself!"

They've noticed me, a mistake on my part.

I should've hidden in the shadows.

A sigh escaped from me as I revealed myself with raised hands, signaling that I am not a threat. If they ever decide to attack, my rabbits can provide cover as I sprint away in the opposite direction.

"Another student?" A voice said.

There were indeed two of them.

My eyes instantly darted to the one closest to me. He had green hair and eyes; there were freckles all around his face, too. It was another teenager like me, though he was wearing combat armor, power gloves, and large boots.

They seemed tacky, but there was actual real function behind them. I can tell. Not only that, I can sense something from this kid. It's not curse energy though; he doesn't even have an ounce of it.

Now as for the other person...

He wore a red high school uniform with goldish linings. That uniform screams exclusivity and private money. Is his hair purple? No, wait, that's magenta. What an odd dye color choice.

Also, his face was lightly bruised for some reason.

Anyway, it doesn't hurt to introduce myself.

"My name is Megumi Fushiguro. I am lost here. I take it that you two are the same?" I said with a confident voice, first impressions are important. I don't want to be seen as weak.

The green-haired student eased his guard. "My name is Izuku Midoriya." After introducing himself, he turned to the bruised magenta-haired student behind him.

"Kakeru Ryuen." The magenta-haired student introduced himself before taking a step back.

"Are you two sorcerers?"

The two remained silent and still. The question didn't elicit any reaction. These two aren't sorcerers, then. They're something else.

"I am not a sorcerer, but I am a student with a provisional hero license." The green-haired student introduced some license as if it were a common rule. The license thing didn't produce some sort of reaction from me other than furrowing my brows.

"Do you have some time to talk?" The green-haired student, Izuku Midoriya said.

...

...

...

The conversation was enlightening to say the least. This Midoriya kid said this place must be some kind of medium that pulls people away from their respective 'realities'. It sounded dumb, but I had nothing to disprove his theory.

Apparently, he reached that idea when he asked about Ryuen's whereabouts. The locations, the information, and the general state of the world were different from his.

Izuku Midoriya. The world that he came from sounded like it was straight out of a comic book. There were heroes with powers called quirks. He's one of the heroes, and he's using it to help people and defeat villains.

As for Ryuen. His world didn't have quirks or powers as far as he knew. He spent most of his time inside some sort of elite competitive school. There were no superpowered beings in his reality, just pricks with decent fighting skills.

I told them about my world. A form of energy called curse energy exists, along with curse techniques. A sorcerer has both of those. A sorcerer is also tasked with exorcising cursed spirits, a result of curse energy and negative emotions.

"I am a sorcerer."

Midoriya eagerly listened to my explanation just as I was eagerly listening to his. I didn't want to believe it, but other realities exist. For once, I smiled in both disbelief and joy. My world was so small, and knowing that there were more excites and stimulates me.

Also, apparently, Midoriya can't see the rabbits that I have mentioned in passing earlier. He just said that he can accurately sense them. Was he like Maki Zenin or Itadori?

Invisible hares. That's what Midoriya called them.

Ryuen remained quiet, looking at the cold ceramic tiles. Most likely still overwhelmed. He came from a place with no abilities or supernatural things. Naturally, his adaptation will take some time.

They then said they just escaped from an office-like space. That skeleton thing was chasing them. Apparently, there were three of them, but one got lost.

"Fuck him." Ryuen announced with seething hate.

We kept silent as he gritted his teeth.

Anyways, to make things short. We've decided to team up for now. I don't see any hostilities from them, and they seemed like good people, well, except for that Ryuen guy.

They've been here for quite some time, so they were feeling quite starved and dehydrated. I offered them some water and snacks. I told them to make it last, though, and to keep an eye out for vending machines.

"Those vending machines? They're all fake." Ryuen said, walking behind us.

"Most of the contents inside are fake, but some of them are real." I said as I entered another room with a pool inside. The room was dimmer and more eerie. Not to mention that the pool before us was darker and deeper than the others. There were several circular light sources above, casting an eerie glow on the dark, rippling pool below.

Midoriya's expression turned calculating. "This pool... It has a depth of one hundred or so meters, give or take."

"You serious?" Ryuen said, looking at the pool with fear.

We spent some time talking and exploring. It wasn't until exploring with them for hours that I realized that I was starved for some real conversation. Being stuck here alone was the absolute worst.

I don't consider these two as friends, but they're useful allies for now. Besides, the more heads, the better our chances are for finding the exit.
