Neme's 3rd day excursion into the dungeon was once more a success, thanks to his stat parameter growth, his ability to survive on the newbie floors was all but assured.
Afterall his overall stats had long surpassed the point when Level 1's typically would have, and thanks to his pouring of stat points into his agility, and endurance his speed and stamina were through the roof as well.
Allowing him to speedrun the floors.
Which was simple.
The dungeon operated under a predictable programming.
The deeper into a floor you go, and the closer to the stairs leading down the more monsters will appear.
For Neme arriving on a floor was now quick, he would linger just long enough to slay a single monster of each type that would appear just to confirm his ability to deal with them.
After securing a single win, he would then dive straight to the stairway leading deeper within.
Camping around the stairwell, and beginning a floor purge of any and all monsters that spawned to deal with the 'intruder'.
War shadows only ever appeared in groups of three but Killer Ants they spawned in greater numbers sometimes as many as thirty to a pack.
With the speed of his own assault increasing Neme managed to clear the entire fifth floor, along with most of the sixth before taking his first break.
Exiting the dungeon around two in the afternoon, Neme quickly returned to the inn for recovery.
But it was during this travel that Neme who had a one track mind, of getting stronger and getting the first divine blood on his blade was stopped in his tracks.
The reason?
Blue Ribbon
Short cut dress.
Twin Tails.
The loli goddess herself.
Manning a fried potatoe ball stall herself.
Which gave Neme a timeline, he was currently somewhere between three months, and one month from the start of the origional anime story.
Hows this?
Well simple, Hephaestus kicked Hestia out of her Familia base three months before the start of the story, only to hire the Goddess back as a storekeeper two days after it's start allowing her to stop working for the Potatoe Stall.
Given the look of dejection upon her face, it was clear she had not yet started her familia.
And as much as he wanted to march over and ask her to join up and together form a familia, he resisted the urge.
His goal was to slay the gods.
If he joined her Familia, first off would it be possible?
His own system was just like a falna, would he be able to receive a real falna?
Even then, would she be able to accept him once she found out he was the one responsible to killing the gods?
Afterall gods and goddesses, even with their divine power sealed away, had a power not sealed away.
Eyes of Truth.
To a god, they could see when a mortal was lying to them.
So the safest place for Neme was far from any of the gods, which would save him from being caught lying, or worse drawing suspicion for failing to respond when questioned.
If enough focus was drawn to him, a petition could be presented to Oranos to use Divine power to interrogate him, using divine pressure to force a confession.
Something he currently could not resist, and most likely would be unable to do until reaching Level 10.
Shaking his head, to free the thoughts, Neme carried on.
Passing by the Goddess without saying a word or looking in her direction again.
~
Sleep came easily for him, and when he awoke, the sun was just setting in the sky.
His usual dungeon dive had lasted longer than before, where he would be exhausted and dragging his body to bed after four hours, now he lasted six before calling it quits.
If his stat growth continued on, he could eventually spend entire days, possibly multiple days inside the dungeon growing only emerging to restock supplies, and slay those gods who had it coming.
Before packing up to head back in, he first made a side visit.
The black market being his place of choice, unloading dozens of Finger Blades, and Mandibles.
With the end take reaching over 100,000 valis.
Taking that money he quickly replenished the dried rations that made up most of his meals, after refilling his bag with food and water, the next stop was the Hephaestus run shops within the tower of Babel.
The reason, his throwaway swords had been used to breaking.
So using this break from diving as an excuse he would acquire a pair of new third-class swords to join his primary weapon of a war hammer.
Their price would be great costing around 100,000 valis each but compared to having to waste time daily buying new blades, and one can never be without the sharpest blade they can when on a battlefield.
The pair weren't anything special, sure the blacksmith had believed in them, granting the pair of blades names, but for Neme named or not they were a means to an end.
Perhaps one day he'd care about a weapon enough name the blade or bother learn the name its maker had granted to it.
Resupplied and re-kitted Neme walked once more like a man on a mission into the dungeon and after only 20 minutes he'd reached the point he left off, on the sixth floor resuming his bloody slaughter.
If the dungeon cared about the death of the monsters it spawned like it did the dungeon itself, a monster stampede, or worse a juggernaut would be summoned to deal with him in short order.
Dozens were slain ever few minutes, and in the hours he remained within its depths hundreds of monster corpses were absorbed into the dungeon, leaving behind their mana crystals and occasionally their drop items.
