Blood of Kamio – Chapter 16
After some time, Onoki regained consciousness. All the members of Team 10 were present in the room. Suddenly, Shiki hugged him tightly. Both Onoki and the others were shocked by her sudden action.
At that moment, Maro was still unconscious. In front of him stood the members of the two highest-ranked Kamiora teams.
Kamioma entered the room.
Kamioma: "Hey, Onoki. Are you okay?"
Onoki: "Yes. I'm feeling good now."
Kamioma: "Glad to hear that."
Just then, Maro also regained consciousness.
Kamioma: "Hey, Maro. How are you feeling?"
Maro: "I'm feeling better."
Kamioma: "That's good to hear."
Maro looked around the room, searching for someone. But Naru was nowhere to be seen.
Maro: "Where is Naru?"
Everyone lowered their heads in silence. The atmosphere suddenly became heavy.
Maro: "What happened? Where is Naru?"
Mato spoke in a trembling, sorrowful voice.
Mato: "He was killed by the leader of the Blood of Kamio."
Maro's expression changed instantly after hearing those words.
Maro (with a shaking voice): "What? What do you mean?"
Kamioma: "You were captured by the Blood of Kamio and taken to Spin Kamio Village. Naru and the others went there to rescue you. During that mission, the leader of the Blood of Kamio killed Naru."
Maro clenched his fists.
Maro: "If it was their leader, why didn't you send more Kamioras as backup? You knew how powerful he was."
Kamioma: "Yes, I knew he was strong. But I didn't know he would be in Spin Kamio Village. I take responsibility for that mistake. I'm sorry."
A deep silence filled the room.
Three days later
Everyone gathered in the meeting hall.
Maro had been completely broken during those three days, unable to overcome his grief.
All the Kamioras who had fought against the Blood of Kamio were present. They waited quietly in the Kamiora meeting room.
After a while, Kamioma and Reo entered.
Kamioma: "I hope everyone is holding up. Today, I need to tell you something very important."
Onoki: "What is it?"
Kamioma looked around the room, his expression serious.
Kamioma: "We are going to find Atomic."
