Blood of Kamio — Chapter 20
Naru said,
"You are very weak."
Maro attacked Naru again and shouted,
"You bastard!"
But Naru easily dodged the attack and punched Maro once more.
At that moment, a man named Eisilan was passing through that path. Hearing the noise, he came closer to find out why they were fighting.
When Eisilan reached there, he understood that they belonged to the Baki and Shieu clans by looking at their clothes. He felt sad seeing that even children hated each other. He realized that this hatred was the result of their social upbringing.
Eisilan stopped the fight and told them to go home.
Both Maro and Naru returned to their homes.
After Coming Home
On Maro's side—
Maro said,
"A boy from the Baki clan beat me."
Maro's father asked,
"Who attacked first? You, or him?"
Maro was shocked to hear that question. He only told his father that a boy from the Baki clan had beaten him.
After a short pause, Maro's father said,
"My assistant Kamiora saw everything."
Then he continued,
"You should not fight with the Baki clan. Yes, it is true that some members of our clans hate each other, but I do not. And you should not hate them either. You must apologize to that boy."
Maro replied,
"You are the Kamioma of the Light Kamio Village. Why didn't you stop the fight? If you had ordered them to stop, they would have listened."
His father answered,
"I tried. I told everyone not to fight. But then the members of the Baki clan said that we had accepted defeat. After that, some Kamioras from our clan started fighting again. So, it is not easy to stop this conflict. But one day, I will end this fight. I promise."
Maro felt happy after hearing his father's last words.
The Next Day
Maro returned to the same place.
Naru was sitting on a tree branch.
Maro called out to him, and Naru came down.
Naru asked,
"Did you come to take revenge for yesterday?"
Maro replied,
"No. I'm sorry for yesterday."
Naru was shocked to hear that.
Maro continued,
"My father told me that we should not fight or hate each other. We are fighting for nothing, and we gain nothing from it. The Kamioras who died… their deaths were meaningless."
Naru said,
"Yes, I know. That's why I didn't want to attack you. I only fought back because you attacked first. I'm sorry too."
Maro extended his hand toward Naru.
Maro said, "Let's be friends.My father said that he will stop the fight between our clans. We will help him. Together, we will stop the conflict between the Shieu and Baki clans."
Naru placed his hand over Maro's.
"Yes," he said.
"We will stop this fight."
From a distance, Eisilan was watching them.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
Eisilan was the assistant of the present Kamioma—Maro's father.
Maro came out of his memories.
Two drops of tears fell from his eyes.
Maro said,"I will kill you the leader of blood of kamio. Just you wait."
