Chapter 11 – Red Legion Revelation
Several days had passed since Sam had summoned the Diamond Sword.
On the surface, everything had returned to normal.
The castle stood calm beneath a clear sky, servants going about their routines, guards relaxed, laughter echoing faintly through the halls.
Sam sat alone on the balcony, a cup of coffee in his hand, staring into the distance.
Yet—
Something felt wrong.
A faint unease crawled up his spine, the kind that had followed him only during wars long forgotten.
Then—
CRACK.
The sky itself split open, as if a piece of the universe had been torn apart.
A blinding golden light poured down from the裂, and an overwhelming pressure descended upon the castle.
Gravity multiplied instantly.
Servants collapsed to their knees.
Guards dropped their weapons.
Even standing became impossible.
"W-what is that…?!"
A silver-haired figure slowly descended from the裂 in the sky.
His presence was suffocating.
Golden aura wrapped around his body like living sunlight, and his eyes shimmered with star-like brilliance.
"This presence…" one of the senior butlers screamed in terror, barely conscious.
"It's beyond a god…!"
The mere existence of the being felt lethal.
⚡ First Encounter
Sam placed his coffee down calmly.
In the next instant, he leapt from the balcony, landing effortlessly in the courtyard.
The godlike being descended with a casual elegance, landing directly in front of Sam.
At first, arrogance filled his expression—
Until their eyes met.
The change was instant.
The golden being froze.
His pupils shrank.
His knees slammed into the ground.
He bowed his head so deeply it touched the stone floor.
"MASTER…!"
"Please forgive me… I didn't know YOU were here."
Silence.
Absolute silence.
Ruhi clutched Meera's arm, confused and frightened.
"Papa…?" she whispered.
"Why is he calling you 'Master'?"
Meera's eyes widened—shock mixing with suspicion.
🌑 The Revelation
The kneeling being spoke again, his voice trembling with devotion.
"Those who planned your assassination…"
"They no longer exist."
"The organization known as the Red Legion—"
"Every single member has been erased."
"Not even their names remain in the universe."
Panic erupted.
Servants screamed and fled.
Some collapsed, crying.
Others prayed.
Meera's heart sank.
Red Legion… Master…
Sam… who are you?
🔒 Sam's Reaction
Sam's expression darkened.
He stepped forward, stopping just inches from the kneeling being.
"You are mistaken," Sam said calmly.
"I am not your master."
"I am a normal man. A businessman."
"I don't know who you are, and I want nothing to do with you."
The godlike being looked up in disbelief.
"B-but—!"
"You created the Red Legion!"
"You were our Supreme Commander!"
"We conquered planets together. Fought countless wars."
"Under you, the Red Legion became the strongest assassin group in the universe!"
Sam's eyes flashed crimson for a brief moment.
"No."
"You don't know me."
He raised one hand.
A silent seal activated.
The being—Brooks—froze mid-sentence.
His thoughts locked.
His voice vanished.
Inside his mind, panic screamed.
Why… can't I speak…?!
🌙 Aftermath
Without another word, Sam turned away.
He gently took Meera's and Ruhi's hands and walked back toward the castle.
Behind them, the courtyard remained frozen in shock.
Meera watched Sam's face closely as they walked.
"Sam…" she finally said.
"You're bad at lying."
"What just happened…"
"There was truth hidden in it."
Sam didn't stop walking.
"I've told you as much as you need to know—for now," he replied calmly.
"Trust me, Meera."
He paused briefly.
"When the time comes… I'll tell you everything."
"Until then—can you stay with me… without asking questions?"
Meera fell silent.
But her doubts only grew stronger.
Red Legion.
God Slayer.
Who is Sam… really?
🌌 Meera's Decision
That very night, Meera left the castle alone.
She sought someone ancient.
Someone who could not lie easily.
An elder wizard whose age no one knew—
Aurus.
When she stood before him, she bowed deeply.
"Master… I need to ask something."
"And I know only you can answer."
Aurus smiled gently.
"What do you wish to know, my child?"
Meera took a deep breath.
"Blood Legion."
"God Slayer."
"Are they just myths… or are they real?"
For the first time in centuries—
Aurus looked uncomfortable.
"They are just stories," he said carefully.
"You shouldn't trouble yourself with such foolish legends."
Meera's eyes narrowed.
"You're lying."
Aurus froze.
She raised her hand.
A coin materialized in her palm—ancient, glowing faintly.
"You remember this, don't you?" she said quietly.
"You gave it to me."
"You said… if I ever needed a favor—"
"I could use this."
Shock crossed Aurus's face.
"…Are you sure?" he asked softly.
"Think carefully."
"Yes," Meera replied firmly.
"I want the truth."
Aurus exhaled slowly.
"Very well."
"I cannot speak of the Red Legion directly," he said.
"But if you truly wish to know—"
"Go to my secret library."
"There you will find forbidden books."
"That is all I can tell you."
Meera bowed deeply.
"Thank you, Master."
And without hesitation—
She stepped into the shadows of the secret library.
The Truth of the Blood Legion
Meera's Discovery
The palace library never truly slept.
Even at night, ancient lamps burned softly, their light reflecting off endless shelves of forbidden knowledge. Hidden far beneath the main archives, Meera moved through the restricted sections—places most scholars were never allowed to enter.
For hours, she read.
Ancient records. Sealed histories. Fragmented cosmic accounts.
Her eyes burned, her mind heavy, yet she didn't stop.
Then—
she found it.
A thick, dark-bound tome sealed with faded cosmic runes.
Dark Cosmic Codex
"Cosmic Beings and the Rise of the Blood Legion"
Her breath caught.
As she turned the pages, a terrifying picture emerged.
The Blood Legion had not been a single organization.
They had branches across multiple universes.
Their purpose was simple—and horrifying:
Assassinate kings
Collapse empires
Destabilize civilizations from the shadows
Spies, executioners, manipulators—every form of silent warfare fell under their command.
For nearly five hundred years, even hearing the name Blood Legion was enough to make rulers tremble.
Yet one detail remained consistent across every record.
No one had ever seen their Supreme Leader.
No name.
No face.
No origin.
Only silence.
Meera closed the book slowly.
Her chest felt heavy.
One thought refused to leave her mind.
Sam… was it you?
⚡ The Confrontation
The next morning, Meera didn't hesitate.
She walked straight to Sam's study.
Sam was seated at his desk, reviewing documents, calm as ever.
Meera didn't soften her tone.
"Sam," she said quietly but firmly.
"I need only one answer."
"Yes… or no."
She looked him straight in the eyes.
"Were you a member of the Blood Legion?"
The room fell completely silent.
Sam closed the file in his hands.
He stood.
There was no anger in his expression—only exhaustion, and something close to sorrow.
"Meera," he said gently,
"I have never lied to you."
He paused.
"…I was."
"But I am not anymore."
That single sentence was enough.
Meera felt the truth in it.
Shock passed through her—but it didn't turn into fear.
She didn't step back.
She didn't ask for explanations.
Instead, she reached out and held his hand.
"That's enough," she said softly.
"If you say you are not that person anymore, I don't need to know the rest."
"You are my husband."
"That is the only identity that matters to me."
Sam's eyes flashed faintly red—
not with power,
but with relief.
For the first time in a long while, his voice trembled.
"…Thank you, Meera."
And in that quiet room, the past lost some of its hold.
