Chapter 10 – Judgment Before the Storm

🌑 Dark Guild's Hidden Lair

It was night.

Deep within the mountains—completely hidden from the world—the underground fortress of the Dark Guild felt alive.

Dark magic glyphs floated in the air along the walls, slowly rotating as if they were breathing. Each glyph released a cold, nauseating energy that crawled across the stone. Dozens of assassins stood silently within the shadows, while more than a hundred wizards formed a vast circular formation, chanting in unison.

The chants grew louder.

Denser.

The pressure of mana became so intense that an ordinary human would not have survived even a single second inside the fortress.

At the center stood a raised platform.

Upon it rested a black throne.

Seated on that throne was the Dark Guild Leader.

A faint divine glow shimmered within his eyes, as though a fragment of a fallen god had been forcibly sealed into his body. His aura was unstable—shifting between traces of divinity and overwhelming corruption.

With a smug smile, the Dark Guild Leader spoke.

"By tomorrow morning…"

"the name of a noble family will be erased from this world."

"This time…"

"no one will come to stop us."

Soft laughter spread among the guild members.

To them, this was just another assassination.

They had no idea—

that they were already dead.

🌋 Arrival of the Obsidian Emperor

Suddenly—

BOOM.

The ground trembled violently.

The glyphs flickered.

The chanting broke for a single heartbeat.

A burning metallic stench filled the air—like the gates of a volcano tearing open.

The fortress's main gate began to melt.

Then—

a massive silhouette stepped inside.

A body forged from molten obsidian.

Dark black armor laced with glowing red-orange cracks, as if magma flowed beneath its surface. With every step, the ground beneath him scorched and burned.

🔥 Varkhad — The Obsidian Emperor 🔥

His voice was heavy, final, and absolute.

"Any hand that reaches toward my Master's family…"

"…will have its very existence erased right here."

Silence followed.

Then—

laughter spread through the guild.

A wizard shouted mockingly,

"Just one man?!"

"We are the entire Dark Guild!"

⚔️ First Clash – Lava vs Sorcery

The next second—

more than a hundred wizards unleashed their spells simultaneously.

🌊 A tsunami of water

🌪️ Devastating hurricane winds

⛰️ Spikes of earth

⚡ A raging lightning storm

Everything crashed toward Varkhad at once.

Varkhad calmly raised a single hand.

🔥 Volcanic Barrier.

A dome of molten lava formed instantly, absorbing every attack.

One heartbeat later—

BOOM.

The barrier exploded outward.

From within it, blazing lava meteors rained down in every direction.

🔥 Wizard after wizard melted where they stood.

More than forty wizards were reduced to ash in a single second.

Screams erupted.

Panic spread.

Fear took hold.

👑 Leader vs Emperor

The Dark Guild Leader finally rose from his throne.

A burst of divine aura surged from his body—

as though the shadow of a god had awakened within him.

"Do you even know…"

"who you are standing against?"

"I am a God Fragment Holder."

A black divine spear formed in his hand—

forged from pure void.

In a blink—

the spear pierced straight through Varkhad's chest.

The entire fortress shook.

🌋 Varkhad Awakens

Varkhad staggered back.

Magma leaked from his shattered armor.

But his voice—

now thundered with even greater force.

"I am Varkhad."

"Emperor of Flames."

"And a soldier of Sam, the God Slayer."

His body cracked further.

Blazing sunfire lava erupted from within.

Behind him, a massive astral form of a volcano manifested.

🔥 LAVA DOMAIN — ACTIVATED 🔥

The entire fortress transformed into a sea of magma.

💀 Final Strike

The Dark Guild Leader formed a divine shield.

Varkhad raised his hand and summoned a blazing sphere—

🔥 Molten Core — a miniature sun.

"As long as my Master's family is safe…"

"I will burn the entire world if I must."

The Molten Core was hurled forward.

💥 A CATACLYSMIC EXPLOSION.

The mountain trembled.

The divine shield melted.

The spear dissolved.

The Leader's scream echoed—

then faded into nothing but ash and shadow.

The remaining guild members were swallowed by magma, erased without a trace.

🌌 Aftermath

Where forests once stood—

there was now only a burning crater.

Varkhad looked toward the sky, clenching his fist.

"Mission complete, Master."

"But a god fragment has appeared in this world…"

"That means—something far greater is in motion."

And with that—

he dissolved into the shadows.

🌞 Scene Shift – Sam's Office

Morning.

Sam sat at his mahogany desk, calmly signing documents.

Sunlight outside was normal—

yet inside, the air suddenly grew heavy.

Sam's pen stopped.

A warning bell rang.

For the first time in centuries.

A soft white glow spread through the office.

From within the glow, a figure emerged—

✨ Silver wings

✨ Golden robes

✨ A staff that seemed to carry the weight of existence itself

His presence was unbearable.

🕊️ Seraphiel — The Grand Priest

The angel spoke calmly.

"So… this is where you are."

"God Slayer Sam."

Sam slowly stood.

His voice was steady.

"Your aura…"

"You are the Grand Priest."

Seraphiel inclined his head slightly.

"Correct."

"And I have been sent here…"

"to pass judgment on your existence."

Tension in the Air

Sam took a single step forward.

The air inside the office suddenly grew heavy. A faint vibration ran through the glass walls, as if the building itself was struggling to endure the pressure of this moment. This was a confrontation between two beings who existed far beyond the scale of normal reality.

Sam's voice was calm—but beneath that calm, a clearly suppressed anger simmered.

Sam:

"I've said this before."

"I have nothing to do with my past anymore."

"I am just a husband… and a father."

A faint smile appeared on Seraphiel's lips, as if he had expected this answer all along.

Seraphiel:

"No matter how much you run, Sam…"

"your legacy, your power—they will never stop chasing you."

"To the Multiverse, you are a ticking bomb."

---

🌌 Mini Standoff

Sam casually picked up the pen lying on his desk.

He tapped it once against the table.

With that single tap, a dark ripple spread throughout the entire building—like a shadow taking a breath for just one second.

Sam:

"I'll give you one warning."

"If you even think about involving my family…"

"not even the Multiverse Ruler himself will be able to save you."

Light flared in Seraphiel's eyes—not aggressive, but alert.

Seraphiel (with a calm smile):

"Interesting."

"You really are exactly as the legends describe—savage and unpredictable."

"But relax. I didn't come here to fight you today."

"I'm only here to observe."

He tapped his staff against the floor.

A celestial seal briefly formed in the air—then dissolved.

---

🕊️ Exit with a Warning

Seraphiel:

"Sam… the day you unlock your true power…"

"I will return."

"And then there will be only two paths—"

"either you walk with me…"

"or I erase you."

A white glow flooded the entire office.

And in the very next moment—

Seraphiel vanished.

---

🌑 Aftermath

Silence fell over the office.

Sam didn't move for several seconds.

The pen in his hand cracked apart and fell to the floor.

A blood-red flash ignited in his eyes—the glow he had suppressed for so long.

Sam (to himself):

"The Grand Priest has appeared…"

"Which means the Multiverse Ruler has noticed me too."

"Meera… Ruhi…"

"Keeping them safe is going to become even harder now."

---

🌌 Scene Shift – Meeting the Multiverse Ruler

A celestial gate opened.

Sam and Seraphiel passed through it.

Beyond the gate—

stood an infinite palace, where planets and galaxies hung in the air like ornaments. Space and time felt like mere decorations here.

At the very top—

a golden throne.

Seated upon it was a white-robed, old-yet-eternal figure.

Professor — the Multiverse Ruler.

His expression was calm, as if he had already seen everything.

Sam immediately bowed.

Sam (serious, respectful):

"Professor."

Professor raised a hand with a gentle smile.

Professor:

"Stand up, Sam."

"There's no need to bow to me like that."

"You are my student… my own."

---

🕊️ The Conversation

Sam's eyes held respect—but also old pain.

Sam:

"You said you would never interfere in my life again."

"Then why now?"

Professor's tone softened.

Professor:

"Sam… in this existence, I have no family of my own."

"You are my family."

"My heart doesn't rest without seeing you."

Sam's expression tightened.

Flashbacks surged through his mind—

shattered armies, fallen generals, and the loneliness of an immortal soul.

Sam:

"My family is only one now."

"My wife. My daughter."

"Everything else… is over."

"You know what happened in my past."

Professor fell silent.

He understood Sam's pain.

---

⚔️ The Diamond Sword

Professor's gaze grew serious.

Professor:

"Your power feels reduced."

"You've sealed it, haven't you?"

Sam nodded slightly.

Sam:

"When there's no need, why unlock it?"

"I have as much power as I require."

Professor leaned forward.

Professor:

"And the Diamond Sword?"

"The one I gave you?"

"Do you still have it?"

A faint glow appeared in Sam's eyes.

Sam:

"It's safe."

"I can summon it right now if I want."

"It's one of the Five Godly Weapons."

"Its edge can cut through space and time itself."

Professor smiled.

Professor:

"It seems you haven't used it in many years."

Sam:

"There was no need."

"Whenever it emerges… only destruction follows."

"And I don't want destruction anymore."

Professor saw the protective love reflected in Sam's eyes.

Professor (softly):

"But I know…"

"you love your Diamond Sword more than your own life."

Sam looked away.

His silence was the answer.

---

🌑 Closing Words

Professor stood and placed a hand on Sam's shoulder.

Professor:

"I'm sorry for disturbing you."

"I promise—I won't interfere in your life again."

"Stay with your family."

"Be happy."

Sam bowed slightly.

Then he teleported away.

Professor smiled to himself.

Professor (whispering):

"My student… my son."

"No matter how much he changes—"

"he is still the same Sam I once trained."

---

🌑 Midnight in the Hidden Lab

Night.

The villa was silent.

Meera and Ruhi slept peacefully in their rooms.

Sam quietly activated a hidden elevator.

Below—

a secret laboratory.

Ancient seals.

Glowing runes.

And a black chamber where reality itself crackled.

Sam cut his palm and broke the blood seal.

Sam (slowly, painfully):

"…Arise, my sword."

---

⚔️ The Diamond Sword Appears

A silver-blue light flooded the chamber.

And materializing in the air—

the Diamond Sword.

Its blade was so sharp it felt as though space itself was retreating from its edge.

The lab began to vibrate.

Sam slowly touched the blade.

And memories flooded him—

falling armies, screaming worlds, and the loss of everyone he once held dear.

His hands trembled.

Tears fell from his eyes.

---

💔 Sam's Breakdown

Sam (voice breaking):

"How many lives I took…"

"How much I lost…"

"And you…"

"my greatest strength…"

"and my greatest curse."

He pulled the sword against his chest.

The lab echoed with nothing but his quiet sobs.

For one moment—

he wasn't a God Slayer.

Not a warrior.

Just a man—

standing beneath the weight of his past.

---

🌅 Back to Normal

Sam wiped away his tears.

He gently sealed the sword once more.

The light faded.

The lab returned to silence.

Sam (whispering):

"Enough…"

"Now I only want to live with my family."

"What's done… will never happen again."

He went back upstairs.

Saw Meera and Ruhi sleeping peacefully.

A faint smile touched his lips.

And then—

he returned to his normal life.
