Nora's POV
My muscles tighten as the phone continues its persistent ringing. One ring. Two. Three.
"Hello?" Reina's voice finally comes through.
"Hey, just got your message."
"Oh thank God. You okay? You completely disappeared on me."
"Yeah." I press my palm against my temple. "Things have been absolutely insane here. The oracle actually worked."
"That's good news, right? I mean, I think it is?"
"Yeah. Definitely good." Obviously Brent kept James's situation to himself. "What's happening on your end?"
"Figured you'd want to know this immediately since it screams apocalypse-level sketchy."
"Fantastic."
"I know," she says with an apologetic tone. "Another hunter contacted us. Last night, a church in Georgia had a mass suicide situation. Initially thought it might be some cult thing, but it appears to be a legitimate congregation. Thirteen members carved sigils into their chests before drinking poisoned punch."
"Jesus Christ. Any clue what triggered their Jonestown moment?"
