Nora's POV
"Damn," I whisper under my breath, squinting as my vision adjusts to the dim lighting.
The captured souls drift within small glass orbs, each one containing what looks like luminescent vapor. Most pulse with dark crimson light, and I can sense the fury and hatred radiating from them in crushing waves. Some glow deep blue, others appear pitch black, while a few remain completely dark.
"Would you prefer to choose, or shall I handle it?" Hugo offers, but I'm already moving forward. My hand reaches toward a soul burning bright red, its essence slamming against the glass walls repeatedly.
"Are they aware of their location?"
"In time. Some refuse to accept their damnation for remarkably long periods."
