Nora's POV
"Stop," he rumbles before claiming my mouth with his. Every thought dissolves as I sink into him, desperate hands finding his shoulders and pulling him closer. He steps forward, pressing his hips against mine, and fire races through my veins as he deepens our connection.
"James," I gasp his name between heated kisses.
"Not yet." His voice is rough against my skin as he trails down to my neck. The razor-sharp points of his fangs graze my flesh, pressing just enough to leave faint marks on the surface. The promise of what's coming sends electricity through me, making every nerve ending come alive. My eyes drift closed as I surrender completely, opening myself to him.
"James," I whisper again, my heart hammering so hard it feels like it could beat for both of us. "Please let me—"
"Quiet." One hand slides to my collarbone, his thumb finding the hollow at the base of my throat. "Just feel."
"Yes," I breathe, parting my lips as I meet his midnight blue gaze.
