Looking back on my life, I have plenty of regrets, but nothing compares to the mistake of ever loving Jonathan Jimmy. That selfish man, so consumed with his reputation and business ventures that he never once tried to save our marriage, now had the audacity to stand here screaming at me. Right on top of what used to be my own grave marker.
Poverty had stripped away everything that once made him attractive. From what I could see, he had abandoned his pack and lived like a wandering outcast, constantly running from death as a lone wolf. Whatever work he found now was clearly brutal, and it showed in every line of his face.
