Looking at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon that had transformed back into a card, Finney Hellseg couldn't deny feeling disappointed.
However, he hadn't lost hope. If a three-star Blue-Eyes White Dragon wasn't enough, he'd wait for a four-star, and if that didn't work, there was always a five-star. He believed the Blue-Eyes White Dragon could eventually withstand the energy of the Infinity Stones.
Seeing the fourth star appear on the card, Finney Hellseg sighed, deactivated the skill, and now he needed to consider how to continue providing food for the Blue-Eyes White Dragon after returning to Earth.
...
Finney Hellseg had thought about how to return to Earth more than once when he was bored, but when it actually happened, it was far more unexpected than he had imagined.
Three days after the Blue-Eyes White Dragon evolved to three stars, he was sitting with Red Skull eating chicken wraps and chatting when the Soul Stone's voice suddenly rang in his mind.
"You should leave!"
Immediately afterward, a sky-blue energy slowly enveloped him.
Finney Hellseg's first instinct was to equip the 'Haunted' spell; otherwise, with his physique, he might end up like Red Skull.
After equipping it, Finney Hellseg hadn't even had a chance to say goodbye to Red Skull before his figure vanished from Vormir.
"Gone?"
Red Skull stared blankly at the spot where Finney Hellseg had disappeared, his emotions a complex mix of joy, reluctance, relief, and confusion.
Ultimately, these feelings coalesced into a single expectation for Finney Hellseg: "Long live Hydra!"
...
Although he had experienced teleportation once before, Finney Hellseg still felt unaccustomed to it this time. However, the first time it happened so suddenly that he hadn't had time to fully appreciate the process.
Now, with a bit more preparation, he felt the terrifying power of space; the tearing, brute force around him terrified him, and he began to gain some understanding of the teleportation portal.
The teleportation lasted only a few dozen seconds, but during that time, Finney Hellseg's understanding of space deepened several levels. For one thing, Finney Hellseg felt he could now open a portal simply by drawing a circle.
Therefore, when he returned to Earth, he was still immersed in that epiphany and didn't notice that he wasn't the only one teleported there by the Space Stone.
"It's the Divine Punishment Knight! He's still alive!"
"He's back!"
"Did he activate the Tesseract?"
"Who's the other guy with the spear?"
Finney Hellseg was absorbed in his realization, but the S.H.I.E.L.D. staff weren't. They all looked at Finney Hellseg and Loki with great curiosity. Perhaps because they appeared with Finney Hellseg, no one present considered Loki an enemy for the time being, including Nick Fury.
"You're finally back. Is this your friend?"
Looking at the surrounding situation, Loki was somewhat bewildered. Were Earthlings this friendly?! But he quickly realized that the reason for all this was probably the person in silver armor next to him.
He immediately gave a wicked smile and fired an energy blast at Finney Hellseg with his Mind Stone.
Danger loomed, and Finney Hellseg reluctantly snapped out of his reverie. Watching the rapidly approaching energy blast, he flicked his wrist, and a small portal instantly appeared, swallowing the blast.
In the past, while he could have done it, it would have been at least five seconds slower.
Loki's actions clearly demonstrated his stance; the surrounding guards immediately raised their guns, aiming at Loki, awaiting orders. Nick Fury, gun in hand, shouted, "Put down your weapons!" "He'd never listen to you."
Hearing Nick Fury's attempt to persuade him to surrender, Finney Hellseg retorted irritably, then unleashed an instant 'Explosion Magic' back at Loki. For Asgardians, it was clear that fighting was necessary before any meaningful conversation.
Seeing Finney Hellseg suddenly unleash a pillar of fire, Loki's eyes flashed with surprise. He fired an energy blast with his Mind Staff, blocking the 'Explosion Magic'.
"Boom!"
The energy collided, creating an explosion with aftershocks.
Like a signal, the surrounding S.H.I.E.L.D. agents raised their guns and fired at Loki.
Given the Frost Giant's physique, while the metal bullets from the agents couldn't penetrate his defenses, they still caused him pain. Therefore, Loki ignored Finney Hellseg and prepared to deal with these annoying agents first.
Hawkeye, in particular, was notorious for aiming specifically for the face, which infuriated him.
But before he could move, Finney Hellseg charged towards him. After all, this was a S.H.I.E.L.D. base, and Finney Hellseg couldn't unleash a powerful 'Explosion Magic'.
Having honed his combat skills under Red Skull's tutelage, he planned to test them on Loki.
But Loki was a mage with maxed-out dagger mastery. Although the weapon he wielded was a mix of staff and spear, it didn't change the fact that he was still a melee mage.
Moreover, he had an even more reckless brother, making it difficult for Finney Hellseg to easily subdue Loki.
Fearing accidental injury to Finney Hellseg, the agents temporarily ceased firing, except for Hawkeye, who, with his superior archery skills, secretly shot him in the knee, attempting to help Finney Hellseg.
Seeing this, Nick Fury knew the agents were no match for Loki and immediately began organizing a continued retreat. After all, the base had already been evacuated before the two appeared due to the Tesseract's rampage.
Besides personnel, the most crucial aspect of the retreat was securing supplies, and the most important supply in the entire base was the Tesseract.
So, while the two were fighting, Nick Fury went to the location of the Tesseract, intending to collect it and take it with him. If Finney Hellseg won, all the better; even if he lost, he would only have to abandon the base.
However, Nick Fury didn't know that although Loki and Finney Hellseg were fighting fiercely, they were both actually paying close attention to the Tesseract's movements.
Finney Hellseg wanted revenge on the Tesseract, as it had kept him wandering on an alien planet for nearly half a year.
Loki, on the other hand, saw the Tesseract as a crucial bargaining chip for gaining an army, ruling Earth, and then seeking revenge against Asgard.
Therefore, when Nick Fury picked up the Tesseract, both of them paused simultaneously.
However, Loki valued the Tesseract more, since Finney Hellseg and Nick Fury were now both in the S.H.I.E.L.D. camp, and any conflict over it would be an internal dispute.
Therefore, Loki immediately abandoned his fight with Finney Hellseg and rushed towards Nick Fury, intending to seize the Tesseract first.
Finney Hellseg tried to stop him, intending to use his usual 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique,' but suddenly realized he hadn't succeeded, and then realized he was no longer on Vormir.
His movements slowed slightly, and Loki, leaping forward, had already launched the energy blast from his Mind Staff.
Because of the haste, Loki hadn't aimed at Nick Fury, but the shockwave still sent Nick Fury flying, and the Tesseract rolled to the ground.
Coincidentally, it rolled directly towards Finney Hellseg's location.
