Chapter 132 - Chapter 133 Before Returning to Earth

Loki, who was humiliated and trying to escape, was surprised to see this scene and fell silent, wanting to see who the other person was.

  "Master!"

The Chitauri leader knelt on the ground, bowing his head to greet the person on the screen.

Loki squinted at the figure on the screen, his wrinkled chin making him look like a purple sweet potato, pondering his identity.

  "Who is he?"

Thanos, after connecting the video call, immediately saw Loki next to the Chitauri leader and asked.

"A fool who infiltrated the spaceship, I'm about to deal with him!"

  the Chitauri leader hurriedly replied.

"No, I am your guest, it's just that the way we met wasn't very friendly."

As the saying goes, there are no wrong nicknames, only wrong names. Loki was known as the God of Mischief in Asgard, and his silver tongue was second nature to him.

At this moment, he quietly deactivated his device, rising elegantly, looking more like the leader than the nervously kneeling Chitauri leader.

Seeing Loki escape his restraints, the Chitauri leader hurriedly stood up, intending to grab Loki again, but Thanos stopped him with a look, looking at Loki with interest and asking,

"Could this guest please state his identity?"

  "Of course!"

Loki bowed politely in an Asgardian greeting, introducing himself, "My name is Loki, son of Odin, prince of Asgard, God of Mischief. May I ask your name?"

Although he resented Odin's favoritism, Loki still used this identity when introducing himself to Thanos, because he knew that Odin's name was a protective shield when traveling the universe.

  "Prince of Asgard..."

Thanos looked at Loki, his gaze slightly surprised, then simply replied, "I am Thanos."

  "Thanos!?"

Loki's mind raced, quickly connecting the name to a cosmic overlord who had been constantly invading and expanding his territory, amidst a flurry of miscellaneous knowledge.

However, that was all he knew. For the proud Asgardians, all cosmic overlords were viewed with contempt.

But the current situation clearly didn't allow Loki to show disdain. Instead, he spoke with even greater respect: "So it's Lord Thanos! I've often heard of your illustrious name in Asgard!"

  "Oh!?"

Thanos looked at Loki with an amused expression, then asked, "Why are you in a place like this?"

Loki's mind raced, trying to figure out how to answer. Unsure if news of his whereabouts had spread throughout Asgard over the past eight months, he finally gave a half-truthful reply:

"I was banished. They imprisoned me here."

  "Aren't you a prince?"

Thanos was taken aback, clearly unaware of Loki's situation. This was partly due to Asgard's deliberate concealment; after all, family scandals shouldn't be aired in public.

"Because I want it to become king,"

  Loki replied, shrugging.

"So, you're actually a prisoner now, only you've gone from Asgard to mine,"

Thanos said, propping his head up with his hand and looking at Loki.

"No, I should be your friend, a friendly guest who can help you fight and offer advice," Loki said with a charming smile.      Hearing Loki's words, Thanos remained silent. After thinking for a long time, he finally said to the Chitauri leader, "Bring him back to me!"

After giving the order, he continued, "Was the item found?"

"I'm sorry, Master, according to the information you provided, there's nothing there."

The Chitauri leader hurriedly knelt down again.

  "Never mind if there isn't."

Thanos waved his hand, seemingly unconcerned. The source of this information about the location of the Infinity Stones was inherently unreliable; he was only sending someone to confirm it as a precaution, without really holding out hope.

Finally, Thanos glanced at Loki one last time and ended the communication.

Loki, meanwhile, was quietly pondering. Thanos was clearly searching for something, and the fact that he had sent so many Chitauri to search indicated that this thing was extremely important.

Loki coveted this army; he was unwilling to give up and still wanted to prove himself right. Therefore, he needed power; he needed to reign supreme over Asgard once more as a king.

After Thanos shut down the communication, the Chitauri leader's previous submissive demeanor seemed like an illusion, transforming him into an arrogant figure before Loki.

"Although our master said he wanted to see you, he didn't say whether you'd live or die. I advise you to behave yourself and avoid trouble. Guards!"

"I look forward to seeing Lord Thanos."

Looking at the arrogant Chitauri leader, Loki offered an awkward yet polite smile, his inner humiliation fueling his desire to seize the army from them.

After being led to a dilapidated and messy room by the Chitauri leader, Loki lay on the bed, staring intently at the ceiling, his inner desolation and pain unknown to anyone.

Then, he shook his head, sensing the increasingly weak magical connection from Earth, frowning slightly. This had originally been his hope of escaping, but now, unexpectedly encountering the Chitauri, he naturally chose the safest option.

However, Loki didn't sever this magical connection; perhaps it would come in handy someday! Time flew by, and

  Finney Hellseg

had been on Vormir for over five months, from November until now, the second year of the following year.

A full 150 days had passed. While Finney's appearance hadn't changed much, his composure was far from what it used to be.

"That Nick Fury guy, could he have stopped researching the Tesseract?"

On the cliff edge of the altar, Finney muttered to himself, doubting. "But even without Nick Fury, Loki should be able to activate it on his own, right? Am I wrong?!"

After these five months of hellish training, the system's experience was more than half full again; it wouldn't be long before he could draw his seventh skill.

With his goal nearing completion, Finney's desire to go home grew stronger.

Finney worriedly considered whether to ask the Ancient One to check on the Space Stone's status during his next visit.

Gazing at the unchanging scenery in the distance, Finney summoned a chicken wrap and began to eat breakfast.

Last month, after numerous daily summons, 'Violet Chicken Nuggets Roll' finally evolved as expected. Somewhat surprisingly, it evolved into the 'Minor Healing' attribute.

While the effect wasn't powerful, only slightly increasing recovery speed, Finney was very satisfied with its increasingly versatile abilities.

Now, it can tank, deal damage, engage in melee combat, attack from a distance, buff, heal, and even has a pet—it can fill any gap in its abilities.
