Chapter 127 - Chapter 128 Six Months!?

The Ancient One was already very skilled at this kind of thing, so she completely ignored Dormammu's roar.

She tried her best to find Finney Hellseg's location using magic, until she was so exhausted that she was surprised, before finally confirming Finney Hellseg's general location.

After a slight hesitation, the Ancient One did not choose to open a portal to go there, but instead traveled through countless star systems as a spirit to arrive in front of Finney Hellseg.

  "Ancient One!"

Finney Hellseg, who was beating up Red Skull, was startled when he saw the Ancient One. Without thinking, he immediately unleashed a 'Explosion Magic' to blast Red Skull away, then rushed to the Ancient One, crying,

  "You've finally come!"

However, as he got closer, he noticed the Ancient One's appearance and was startled, blurting out, "You're not dead, are you?"

  "Thanks to you, not yet."

The Ancient One smiled, ignoring Finney Hellseg's words, and instead looked around at the scenery of Vormir, asking, "How did you get here?"

"Because of those two broken stones!"

Finney Hellseg said fiercely. "Your stone is alright, it was just out of curiosity, but the other spatial gem, when I went to observe it, it teleported me here."

The Ancient One looked surprised, seemingly not expecting this situation.

"Teacher, I can't open the portal back."

Finney Hellseg quickly asked the Ancient One for help. Although he had asked the Soul Stone to be responsible for sending him back, it was more reliable to ask an acquaintance for help than an outsider.

Hearing Finney Hellseg's words, the Ancient One frowned and remained silent. Vormir was too far from Earth. Even if she wanted to open a portal to such a long distance, it would be very difficult. Otherwise, she wouldn't have used this method to see Finney Hellseg.

Noticing the Ancient One's expression, Finney Hellseg became a little nervous. Not wanting to go back and not being able to go back were worlds apart, and she couldn't help but ask,

"Teacher, it's not that you can't open it either, is it?"

  "It is a bit troublesome."

The Ancient One nodded, though not entirely certain, but judging from her expression, it seemed difficult to resolve.

Seeing this, Finney Hellseg sighed, inwardly cursing the spatial gem once more, and then said, "If it really can't be resolved, then forget it."

"The Soul Gem promised me it would send me back."

Finney Hellseg didn't want to put the Ancient One in a difficult position, and as the saying goes, the more you owe, the more you have to repay, so he continued, "Besides, I also want to cultivate here for a while; I'm not in a hurry to go back."

Hearing this, the Ancient One was somewhat surprised. She glanced at the Red Skull not far away, then pondered for a moment and said, "This planet is similar to the Death Star, lacking rules, which will indeed make it easier for you to master your 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique'."

Finney Hellseg couldn't help but admire the Ancient One's insight; worthy of being the Sorcerer Supreme, she saw through his intentions at a glance.

"Actually, it's not that I can't take you back, but there might be some danger."

This is a portal that crosses countless star systems, and even someone as powerful as the Ancient One couldn't guarantee that nothing would go wrong.

Her soul was able to travel here because she had used this technique so many times that she was extremely proficient, but she couldn't possibly take Finney Hellseg's soul back while leaving her body here.

Hearing the Ancient One's words, Finney Hellseg hesitated for a moment, then shook his head and said, "I'm not in a hurry to go back. If there's really no other way, I'd like to ask the teacher for help again."

Seeing the worried and guilty look on the Ancient One's face, Finney Hellseg couldn't help but smile and said, "Actually, apart from being a little bored here, there's nothing wrong with me."

"By the way, could you please ask someone to tell my sister not to worry? Just say that I have something to do and can't go back for the time being, at the latest, about six months..."

This timeframe was Finney Hellseg's calculation based on when Loki might come to Earth.

"Oh, and also, have her handle things at the school."

Finney Hellseg suddenly added, not wanting to go back and be expelled from school for long-term absences.

"She's in Kamataghi right now. I'll go tell her in a bit." The Ancient One nodded, then looked at Finney Hellseg and sighed, "I'm so sorry!"

"Teacher, please don't be like this. What does this have to do with you? It was just my carelessness."

Finney Hellseg never expected the Space Stone to teleport him. In his expectations, the worst outcome was nothing more than turning against Nick Fury and starting a war with S.H.I.E.L.D.

Actually, if Finney Hellseg really wanted to go back, there was another way: he could have the Ancient One go to S.H.I.E.L.D., find the Space Stone, activate it, and then have the Soul Stone teleport him back.

However, the Ancient One's physical body was still that of an Earthling, and Finney Hellseg wasn't sure if she could activate the Space Stone without being harmed. Therefore, he didn't immediately make this request, planning to consider it when he really couldn't stay any longer.

Of course, he could also consider waiting for Nick Fury's research to begin, but Finney Hellseg didn't have much hope for that. Waiting for that was basically waiting for Loki to come to Earth.

"I'll think of another way. Be careful."

The Ancient One wasn't one to hesitate. Having lived so long, she'd seen far too many life-and-death situations. Even if Finney Hellseg really died unexpectedly, she'd be sad at most, but she'd recover quickly.

  "Okay!"

Finney Hellseg nodded, watching the Ancient One's figure disappear in an instant, and couldn't help but sigh with melancholy. Indeed, only his own strength mattered.

If he had enough power, he could go back whenever he wanted; why would he need someone else's rescue?

"Was she your teacher? Also from Earth?"

Red Skull had been silently observing for a while, only daring to ask after the Ancient One left. His essence was that of a ghost, and the Ancient One had been in a spirit state, so he best understood the Ancient One's terrifying power.

"Hmm, the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth."

Finney Hellseg nodded, casting aside his thoughts, preparing to continue the battle. Compared to others, his path to strength was far simpler; all he needed to do was keep fighting.

Red Skull glanced at the worried Finney Hellseg and couldn't help but sigh inwardly. How on earth did Hydra manage to grow so powerful in this hellish world?

  …

  "Ancient One!!!"

On the way back, the Ancient One faintly heard Dormammu's roar again. Realizing she had borrowed far too much energy this time, she decided to stay home for a while.

After returning to her body, the Ancient One, following Finney Hellseg's instructions, found Skye.

"I've found him, but due to some circumstances, I can't bring him back yet."

The Ancient One looked at Skye apologetically and continued, "Finney Hellseg asked me to tell you not to worry about him. He'll be back in six months at most. He also asked you to go to the school and help out."

  "Six months!?"

Skye was stunned, then anxiously asked the Ancient One, "Sorcerer Supreme, where is Finney Hellseg? Why can't I even contact him by phone?"

"Don't lie to me, has something happened to him?"

Skye's voice trembled with tears as she spoke. She couldn't imagine how she would explain it to her parents if something had happened to Finney Hellseg.

  "Don't worry, he's alright."

The Ancient One walked into Skye, patted her head, and soothed her emotions. He explained frankly, "He's trapped on a very distant planet, which is why we can't contact him and he can't come back for the time being."

"You mean, he's not on Earth right now?"

If the person in front of her weren't the Sorcerer Supreme, Finney Hellseg's highly respected teacher, Skye would have suspected the Ancient One was joking.
