"Well, y'got here earlier than I expected!" Andy called out as they fell through the crack in space into the roundtable room.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" Fuuko yelled as she looked to Andy for answers, seeing Lily grabbing on his legs wasn't helping.
"Andy!?" She yelled again as she saw him bite into his fingers. "What are you doing!?"
"Sayin hello!" He answered as he rapidly healed the fingers, incidentally spraying Fuuko with blood. "Let's off these losers!"
Unfortunately-
*Bang-slice-clang*
All the fingers were either blocked or sliced... or shot out of the air by a ricochet bullet.
"Tch" Andy clicked his tongue as he landed in his seat.
"EEP" Fuuko crash landed into hers, taking both the chair and herself to the floor.
"GAH!" And Lily flew face first into the table...
"Ya'know, you guys could have saved our time by just dropping dead." Andy complained as Fuuko fixed her situation.
"You two are just as the reports detailed, UN-dead, UN-luck." A woman with a visor helmet said. "Welcome, to the Union."
"Ay! SICK!" Andy went to give Fuuko a fist bump before-
*CRASH*
A giant metallic fist crashed him into the wall.
"Cool it Tatiana." The blind guy said to the girl in the sphere, who sent the fist.
"BUT HE KILLED MS. GINA!" She cried out.
"Yeah I know... but fighting among members is forbidden."
"But-!" Just as she went to attack again, her equipment malfunctioned and disassembled itself.
"Stop this. Now." The woman with the visor spoke like somebody was about to be murdered.
And it sure seemed like it as Andy put his sword to Fuuko's throat and Tatania started charging a laser at the blind guy.
"Hm? Is it getting hotter in here, or is it just me?" He asked, apparently oblivious.
"I'm sorry boss! I don't want to kill Mr. Billy!" Tatania cried.
"Huh? I'm about to die?"
"What about you, UN-dead?" The woman asked him.
"Alright, you win, I give up." Andy answered.
"How very noble." She nodded as the pair went to their seats. "I take it we're all seated now?"
"Could we stop with the sudden surprises?" Fuuko complained, but Andy answered anyways.
"Psh, what's the point then?"
"Let us proceed, Apocalypse." The lady called out before noticing the book wasn't where it was supposed to be.
"LET GO OF ME YOU BRAT!" A voice yelled from behind her as the roundtable members turned to look.
"Hehe, scary book~" Lily giggled, still completely drunk.
"Grrr- *chomp*" The book bit her hand.
"OW!" Lily let go of Apocalypse as it flew to the middle of the table.
"So, who is she?" A blond kid asked, but was interrupted by Apocalypse as it sent out pages that then circled around the table.
"What are those pages...?" Fuuko asked, but received no answer.
"There are six quests this time." The book spoke ominously.
"Capture of the UMA burn: participant count-six, reward-addition of the 11th seat."
"Capture of the UMA eat: participant count-six, reward, location of the negator UN-burn."
"Neutralization of the UMA language: Participant count-one, reward-unification of all the worlds language."
"Guess this is the quota she mentioned." Andy noticed as Fuuko grabbed his shoulder.
"So, um... what is that this their talking about?" She asked.
"Capture of the negator UN-seen: participant count-six, reward-location of the UMA call."
"Capture of the UMA past: participant count-3, reward-location of the artifact rebellion."
"Capture pf the UMA spoil: participant count-3, reward-location of the negator UN-repair."
"We're trying to gain as much intel for the time being." Andy answered Fuuko. "Just try to retain as much of the conversation as possible."
"If all quests are not completed by august 31st..." The book broke into a wicked smile. "Addition of the UMA galaxy!"
"Now, choose."
"What does he mean by galaxy?" Fuuko asked.
"No clue. Save the questions for later and pay attention."
"Oh-ok..."
"Nico," The lady looked to a man with 3 black orbs floating around him. "Run analyze with this information along with our own."
"Aye." He nodded as the orbs extended plugs that promptly, well, plugged into his forehead.
"Ah, there it is. I see it now." He said with a weird expression. "Of the six quests, we should prioritize the first three."
"Thanks to the investigators, we're familiar with their habitats and the various ways to counter them."
"Burn should take the highest priority since the reward is the most worthwhile."
"We should give up on the last one. We're severely lacking in relevant data, and it'd only result in the loss of our members."
"Well then, first we'll mobilize all members to clearing quests one, two and three." The boss lady commanded. "We'll accept our penalty for ignoring the others."
"This time we'll focus on strengthening our forces."
"Now then, we'll divide the quests among us." She said as she stood from her seat as Fuuko began asking question to the blond kid. But we'll ignore that for now and focus on the drunk.
"Hey~" Lily poked the metal sphere. "Why are you in this ball?"
"Uh-um, who are you?" Tatania was confused by the small girl.
"Lily's the name~" She smiled as she wandered to her right, between her and Billy.
"Wow, you barely had any alcohol and you're this drunk." He was amazed.
"Hehe~, says the *hic* blind guy with the gun~" She wrapped and arm around his neck.
"what can I say, it comes with the job." He shrugged. "But I guess you got this drunk off a single bottle based off your size."
*smack*
"Don't talk to a woman about their chests!" Lily exclaimed as she covered her chest.
"He wasn't talking about that!" Tatania cried out in defense of him.
"Hmph." Lily turned away and walked away-
"Gah!" Only to trip on her own feet.
"Are you ok?" Tatania asked.
"Yes, *snifle* now leave me alone." Lily sat against the wall, it was clear that she was in pain.
"...Ok." Tatania turned back to the table when Fuuko stood from her seat.
"And the same goes for all of you, right!?" Fuuko's voice echoed through the room. "I don't know what's going on here but it needs to stop-"
"98 times." The boss lady interjected. "That's how many rules have been added to the earth."
"Sex, language, race, death, sickness, these are but a single handful."
"Once every three months, new penalties are added, with or without our intervention."
"Which is why we do intervene."
"Our forces must be strong enough to complete these tasks."
"To accomplish this, we capture and utilize those with power." After saying this, Nico put Lily in a small cage. "By gaining these rewards, we will grow in strength and one day achieve our goal..."
"We kill the being who forced these rules upon the earth, the Creator- the GOD who resides on the other side of the book." She glared at Fuuko.
"Only the 10 seated at this roundtable can take up this task. We need to keep stock of substitutes in case a vacancy."
"Leaving your abilities unchecked posed to great of a risk. Especially you, UN-luck."
"I was the one that ordered your disposal, for that I apologize."
"But I have invited you both on Shen's recommendation." Shen's gave a two handed wave to the pair. "So I hope for your cooperation."
