Chapter 7: Awakening of the World's Memory (Part 1)
Morning light quietly filters through the curtains, bathing the room in a pale gold glow. The world outside is awake—but Fate Kindspring is not.
"Fate."
A soft voice breaks the silence.
Fate stirs slightly, brow knitting as the voice reaches him again, closer this time.
"Wake up, my child."
His eyes slowly open.
Standing beside his bed is a familiar figure, her long silver hair catching the morning light, calm blue eyes watching him with both authority and warmth.
"Mo—Mother?!"
Fate jolts upright, confusion clear on his face as he looks around.
"May I ask what you're doing in my room so early?"
Elizabeth smiles faintly.
"I'm here to awaken your Unique Skill."
Those words instantly erase the remnants of sleep from Fate's mind.
"I see…" he exhales, steadying himself.
Moments later, Fate follows Elizabeth through the mansion's corridors until they arrive at the family library.
Shelves packed with ancient tomes stretch high toward the ceiling. Magic circles, diagrams, and spell formulas are etched into many of the book covers themselves.
Elizabeth turns to face him.
"Listen carefully, Fate. What I'm about to explain is something many spend their entire lives never fully understanding."
She walks slowly between the shelves as she speaks.
"A Unique Skill is an ability that can only exist with one user. No two people can ever possess the same Unique Skill."
She places a hand over her chest.
"It is closer to a fragment of the soul than a spell or technique."
Fate listens intently.
"There are only two ways to awaken one," Elizabeth continues.
"The first is self-awakening—achieving it through sheer will and enlightenment. That path is exceedingly rare."
Fate nods, then asks, "And the second way, Mother?"
Elizabeth turns back toward him.
"The second way is through assistance. Another individual enters the user's mind realm and forcibly awakens the skill. This method is far more common—and far more reliable."
She raises a finger.
"However, it is dangerous."
She explains further, her tone firm.
"Inside the mind realm, the Unique Skill exists as a structure bound by chains. The assisting party must destroy those chains without damaging the structure itself."
Elizabeth gestures to a chair placed at the center of the room.
"Sit, Fate. Close your eyes. I will enter your mind realm and awaken it myself."
He does as instructed.
Elizabeth places her hand on his forehead.

– Allows the user to enter another person's mind realm. Consumes a vast amount of mana. Requires extreme concentration.
Elizabeth opens her eyes—and the world changes.
She stands within a massive, endless library.
Books float freely through the air, opening and closing on their own, pages turning as if alive. Knowledge itself seems to breathe here.
"At the center…"
She walks forward.
There, suspended in the air, is a massive crystal sphere, radiant and flawless—its surface glowing with shifting symbols.
Thick black chains bind it tightly from every direction.
"So this is it."
Elizabeth raises her hand, mana gathering densely around her palm.
She thrusts it forward.
The mana coils around the chains—but they do not break.
Instead, fine cracks appear.
"Well," she mutters, eyes narrowing, "aren't you stubborn."
She raises both hands now, mana surging violently.
With a final push—
CRACK—!
The chains shatter.
Fragments dissolve into light, vanishing completely.
At the same time, Elizabeth withdraws from the mind realm.
Fate's eyes snap open.
A translucent window appears before him.
[System Notification]
Congratulations.
You have awakened your Unique Skill.
His heart pounds as another window unfolds.

Unique Skill: Memory of the World
– The Unique Skill: Memory Of The World works by using it's two core abilities. It's core abilities have own use.
Core Abilities:
– Record:
Allows the user to observe and record another's skills.
If the target is stronger, the recorded skill becomes a weaker but functionally identical version.
– Synchronization:
Allows the fusion of two or more skills into a single new skill.
Items may also be included in the fusion.
(Skill + Skill + Item → New Skill)
Failure to withstand the resulting power will cause penalties to the user.
Fate stares at the description, breath caught.
"…This is… broken."
Elizabeth reads over his shoulder, expression serious.
"It is an overwhelming power," she says calmly.
"Do not become drunk on it."
She places a hand on his head.
"Use it carefully."
"I will, Mother," Fate replies without hesitation.
Later that day, Fate completes his routine training and takes a short break.
He finds himself staring into the distance.
"Something on your mind, young master?"
Fate flinches slightly.
"I—Isaac. You startled me."
"You were spacing out," Isaac says with a small chuckle.
"…It's my Unique Skill."
Fate explains everything—its abilities, its dangers, and Elizabeth's warning.
Isaac listens carefully.
"…That truly is an overwhelming Unique Skill," he says after a pause.
After thinking for a while Fate decided to use his unique skill.
"Synchronize Sword slash, Unsheath, Quick step"

– When the skill is used the user will perform a high-speed sword slash.
"Isaac let's spar for a bit" Fate requested Isaac for a spar
"I want to test out my new skill"
"As you wish young master" Isaac accepted
Both sides takes on a fighting stance Isaac holding his daggers and Fate holding his sword. The first person yo move was Fate he rushes forward and used his skill.
(Flash Sword!)
Fate performed a high-speed horizontal slash but Isaac manage to parry it just in time. They continued weapons clashing.
And then Fate once again saw an opportunity to use his skill.
(Now!)
Fate used his skill once again.
(Flash Sword)
Isaac was caught off guard resulting in him being defeated by Fate.
Isaac raised his hands admitting defeat "I forfeit young master" Isaac said to Fate chuckling.
Then his eyes sharpen.
"Young master, I have a suggestion for you"
Fate looks at him.
"You should visit the Capital's Library."
Isaac folds his arms.
"It houses a vast collection of Skill Books. Offensive, defensive, magic, and passive skills alike."
He continues steadily.
"With your Unique Skill's Synchronization ability, acquiring more foundational skills now would greatly increase your options—especially with the Valhalla Academy Entrance Ceremony approaching."
Fate considers this carefully.
"…You're right."
His gaze hardens with resolve.
"If I'm going to face what's coming, I need to be prepared."
