Chapter 416 - Extra Chapter: Amaha Airi

Amaha Byakuya and Rize Kamishiro emerged from the delivery room, where a crowd had been waiting anxiously for some time.

Yoshimura, Eto Yoshimura, Kaya Irimi, Enji Koma, Hairu Ihei—a whole group had gathered.

Rize's adoptive father, Shachi, was naturally here as well.

"Father."

Rize smiled warmly as she addressed him.

Shachi's expression remained as stern as ever. Even on a day that warranted celebration, his face betrayed little emotion.

"I'm glad you're safe," he said with a nod.

Byakuya carefully handed little Airi to Shachi—after all, he was the baby's grandfather.

"Airi... that's a beautiful name."

Shachi cradled the infant, and even his perpetually severe demeanor softened into something resembling tenderness.

"She's adorable," Eto remarked, leaning in for a closer look. "Her hair is just like Rize's, but those features are definitely yours, Byakuya."

Just as Eto observed, little Airi had inherited Rize's purple hair. And watching this new life enter the world stirred memories of Eto's own past.

"So it seems little Airi is a half-ghoul too," Eto mused.

"Yes, but that won't matter for much longer."

After all, when Byakuya activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi, Airi—like all half-ghouls—would become fully human.

Beyond Eto, Kurona, Nashiro, and Touka all wanted their turn holding little Airi. The group lingered at the hospital for quite a while before finally heading home with the newborn.

...

Not long after, Amaha Byakuya activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

The Divine Tree purged all RC cells from every human and ghoul in the world.

Humans no longer faced the risk of ghoulification. Ghouls were restored to humanity.

Amaha Airi was no exception—she lost her one-eyed kakugan, but in its place awakened a pair of complete one-tomoe Sharingan in both eyes, innate from birth.

This power was undoubtedly far greater than any kakugan could have been.

These days, Rize spent most of her time caring for their daughter while Byakuya handled the reconstruction of Tokyo.

Being a first-time father, Byakuya was clearly out of his depth. He racked his brain buying all sorts of random things—formula, countless toys, you name it.

"Byakuya, why did you bring home another mountain of toys? And is that... a Gundam model kit?"

Rize couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the bulging shopping bags he'd brought back.

A Gundam model kit? That wasn't exactly appropriate for an infant girl, was it?

"Well..." Byakuya scratched his head with an awkward smile. "She can play with it when she's older. No harm in keeping it around."

"Honestly. I know we're not short on money, but we can't just throw it around like this. And we definitely can't let little Airi pick up bad habits."

Rize was gradually settling into her role as a devoted wife and mother.

"I'll be more careful from now on," Byakuya nodded.

"You know, instead of buying all these toys, we should spend more time taking Airi out and about. Otherwise, by the time she's old enough to talk, she might not even recognize her own father. Especially with that white hair of yours—she might end up calling you 'mister' instead of 'daddy.'"

Rize's eyes sparkled with mischief.

"Please, anything but that..."

Byakuya couldn't help but laugh despite himself.

"But you're absolutely right. The time I spend shopping for this stuff would be better spent with Airi. Come on, let's go for a walk."

He smiled warmly.

"Mm." Rize nodded happily.

Little Airi lay peacefully in her father's arms, neither crying nor fussing. From time to time, her curious eyes drifted between Byakuya and Rize, as if studying these two people who were her parents.

To display such awareness at such a young age was remarkable in itself. Combined with her innate Sharingan, it was clear that Amaha Airi's life would be anything but ordinary.
