Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

With Tsunade's punch landing cleanly, Namikaze Kirito was sent flying.

He smashed straight into the wall.

The impact rippled outward—cracks spread like a spiderweb across the surface.

Kirito's small body was embedded directly into it.

It perfectly matched a saying from his previous life:

Slapped so hard you're stuck on the wall and can't even peel yourself off.

Jiraiya rushed over, grabbed Kirito by the leg, and started tugging.

"Tsuna—! Lady Tsunade, that was way too much!"

Shizune gasped, her face pale, watching Kirito get pulled out inch by inch.

Tsunade stood there, her expression… complicated.

Her cheeks were slightly red—whether from anger or embarrassment, even she wasn't sure.

She had no strange thoughts about a child but that moment earlier had been… unexpected.

What made it worse was that Kirito's fingers had moved.

Instinct took over.

And she punched.

Only after the hit did regret set in.

For a three-year-old, that blow was far too much.

She was already preparing to heal him...

But then Jiraiya finally yanked Kirito free.

The kid dusted himself off.

No blood.

No bruises.

He didn't even bother holding the spot she hit.

If Tsunade hadn't felt the punch connect, she would've thought she missed.

Kirito himself was quietly panicking.

Because of his height and the need to maintain gravitational pull—his hand had ended up in an… unfortunate position.

Back in his previous life, he was a veteran shut-in.

No girlfriend.

Never even held a girl's hand.

Theoretical knowledge? Plenty.

Practical experience?

Zero.

This mistake caught him completely off guard.

His gaze darted away awkwardly.

And just as the atmosphere went dead silent—

Someone decided to make it worse.

"Well, well, little Kirito," Jiraiya grinned,

"looks like you've grown up early. How did it feel? Hehehe—"

He didn't notice the killing intent behind him.

"Let me tell you, you're very lucky. Tsunade's never—huh? K-killing intent?!"

"Tsunade… listen—this is a misunderstanding—"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The ground shook violently.

After a few seconds—

Silence.

Jiraiya lay unconscious.

Tsunade exhaled slowly, then turned her gaze back to Kirito.

"Brat," she said coldly,

"your ability is extremely strange."

"I've never seen anything like it in the ninja world."

"You're most likely a first-generation bloodline awakener—whether it's genetics, mutation, or something else."

"Your body is even stranger."

"The Uzumaki physique recovers fast, yes—but you took my punch head-on and look completely fine."

She crossed her arms.

"Tell me. What do you want from me?"

Kirito straightened his small body.

This time, he didn't dodge her eyes.

"I want strength."

"And I want to learn medical ninjutsu."

"Medical ninjutsu?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

"With your talent, why that? Don't lie to me."

"I want a complete family," Kirito replied calmly.

"Power is just a tool."

"Oh?" Tsunade smirked.

"So you want to revive them with medical ninjutsu?"

Her voice suddenly sharpened.

"Let me tell you something!"

"Medical ninjutsu cannot revive the dead!"

"If you can't protect your family, then all you'll have left is regret!"

Kirito didn't flinch.

Because he knew—

She wasn't talking about him alone.

She was talking about herself.

People she loved had died one after another.

She had searched.

She had hoped.

In the anime, she was nearly swayed by Orochimaru for this very reason.

And Orochimaru hadn't lied.

Impure World Reincarnation could bring them back.

Just not truly alive.

"I haven't tried everything," Kirito said quietly.

"So how do you know it's impossible?"

"You think I haven't tried?!" Tsunade snapped.

"I searched countless records! If trading my own life worked, I'd do it!"

Tears shimmered in her eyes.

Kirito stepped closer instead of comforting her.

"Really?"

"Sand Village's Reincarnation Technique."

"Second Hokage's Impure World Reincarnation."

"And other forbidden arts you've never even seen."

"You're sure you've explored them all?"

"That technique only revives the newly dead—"

"And Impure World Reincarnation is just—"

"Don't make me laugh."

Kirito cut her off, his voice cold.

"You say it plays with souls? Fine."

"So improve it."

"Why accept a paper body as the limit?"

"If you can summon a soul—why can't you rebuild a body?"

"If you can't do that, then you're just running away."

"I thought you were like me," Kirito continued.

"If you've already given up, then there's no reason for me to stay."

"Jiraiya-sensei, let's go."

He turned to leave.

"Stop right there, brat!"

Kirito paused and glanced back.

"Did I hit a nerve?"

Tsunade had already wiped her tears away.

Her smile now was dangerous.

"Arrogant little brat."

Kacha—kacha.

She cracked her knuckles.

"You dared call me Tsunade."

"You didn't even call me neechan

"Looks like you've forgotten how much my punches hurt."

Jiraiya groggily regained consciousness.

"Huh… Kirito? Where're you going—"

BOOM!

SPLASH!

Tsunade punched him straight into the hot spring.
