"It's bad! Kirito-kun—go help Tsunade-sama!"
Before Namikaze Kirito could finish thinking, Shizune came running in, breathing hard. Fine beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, her face pale with panic.
"…Ah."
Kirito let out a quiet sigh and shook his head.
He already knew why she was here.
She was calling in reinforcements.
During the past seven years, Tsunade had dragged Kirito to gambling houses more than once. With his perception and experience, he almost never lost.
And if someone dared to cheat?
Tsunade's fists weren't for decoration.
In the shinobi world, aside from special dōjutsu, there was no ability comparable to Observation Haki. When fully developed, it could even glimpse the future.
Kirito wasn't there yet but even now, simply sensing the dice was effortless.
So every time Tsunade lost badly, Kirito would win everything back.
Some casinos had even hung signs outright banning Namikaze Kirito from entering.
"Kirito-kun…" Shizune clenched her fists, voice trembling. "Tsunade-sama has lost everything… and now she wants to stake the house!"
Kirito closed the medical text, stacked the books neatly, and stood up.
"Let's go, Shizune-san."
The two hurried out.
The newly opened gambling hall was packed with noise.
Shouts, laughter, curses—faces flushed red with greed.
At the largest table, the dealer looked smugly at the blonde woman standing opposite him.
Tsunade.
Her teeth were clenched as she stared at the dice cup on the table.
"Big! Big! Big!"
The surrounding crowd shouted wildly.
Tsunade bet small.
Everyone else pushed all their chips in the opposite direction.
This had already happened more than a dozen times.
The dealer smiled. He didn't even need to cheat—today's bonus was already guaranteed.
"Open! Small!"
"Hahaha! It really is small!"
"I'm rich!"
"Thirteen wins in a row! As expected of the gambling world's fat sheep!"
"Just bet against her—the seaside villa is guaranteed!"
Laughter erupted.
Only Tsunade remained silent, her teeth grinding together.
It made no sense.
Her grandfather used to dominate gambling halls—there was no way she could be this unlucky.
"Respected customer," the dealer said smoothly, eyes roaming over her figure. "You're out of chips. What would you like to stake next?"
He swallowed unconsciously.
The surrounding gamblers exchanged knowing looks.
"Looks like this place doesn't care who they offend."
"This casino's new—probably doesn't know who she is."
"They're about to die."
Just as the dealer leaned closer, a stir rippled through the entrance.
A red-haired youth stepped inside.
Black windbreaker. White shirt half open. Calm, oppressive presence.
The smiles around the hall instantly froze.
"…It's over."
"He's here."
"You can win money by following him—but that money belongs to the casino."
"Winning with your life means you won't live to spend it."
"Let's watch that arrogant dealer die."
Tsunade followed their gazes and rubbed her forehead, helpless.
"So he's here again… Guess I don't get to gamble anymore."
Every time Kirito intervened, casinos lost everything.
Many owners would rather ban Tsunade outright than let him set foot inside.
This new casino hadn't lasted long.
Shizune had seen Tsunade's losses spiral—and had no choice but to call Kirito.
"Tsunade-sama… you're so troublesome," Tsunade muttered, glaring at Shizune.
Shizune shrank behind Kirito.
"If I didn't come," Kirito said calmly, "you'd have lost your home."
Bang.
Kirito dropped into the seat beside Tsunade, boots planted casually on the gaming table.
Domineering. Unbothered.
"You brat!" Tsunade snapped. "That's the house I bought!"
She swung her fist.
Kirito caught it effortlessly, palm closing around her wrist, then gently set it down.
"You bought it, you bought it."
"I bought it myself!" Tsunade protested, pouting like an angry child—unintentionally adorable.
The dealer's smile stiffened.
"This… guest. Would you like to place a bet?"
Kirito turned, eyes cold.
"Of course."
He took a box from Shizune and tossed it onto the table.
It opened.
Stacks of banknotes filled the case.
The dealer sucked in a sharp breath.
Four… five million taels at least.
A true high-roller.
"Shizune!" Tsunade snapped. "Didn't you say we were out of money?!"
"I'm sorry, Tsunade-sama," Shizune said quickly. "But no matter how much I gave you, you'd lose. I had to call Kirito-kun."
"Damn brat…"
The dealer's eyes gleamed.
"All in?" he asked.
"All in," Kirito replied flatly.
"Very well."
The dice rattled violently.
The cup slammed down.
"Place your bets!"
Kirito didn't even blink.
"All in… big."
