Chapter 4: Path of Delivery
Xavier sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at the floating screens in front of him.
At some point after leaving the restaurant, he'd driven home on pure autopilot. He barely remembered the trip. The only thing he remembered clearly was the weight in his chest—the sense that everything had changed.
The rewards were still there, patiently waiting.
Class. Skill Points. Legendary Ticket.
"…Alright," Xavier muttered. "One thing at a time."
He reached out and selected the first reward.
[Class Selection: Magical Delivery]
The moment he confirmed it, information poured directly into his vision, line after line appearing faster than he could read.
[Class: Magical Delivery]
A specialized class designed to assist the host in transporting any object, resource, or entity to any location.
Utilizes class-exclusive skills to bypass environmental, spatial, and logistical restrictions.
Focuses on mobility, survival, efficiency, and access over direct combat power.
Xavier leaned back slightly.
"So it's not about fighting," he said. "It's about getting things where they need to go."
For the first time, the system felt… tailored. Not random. Not cruel.
This class fit him.
Next, Xavier turned his attention to the Skill Points.
One hundred points. A ridiculous amount compared to what most Awakened started with.
His gamer instincts kicked in instantly.
"No need to overthink it," he said, opening the stat screen. "Balanced builds survive longer."
He began allocating points—fifty total—spreading them evenly.
When the screen updated, he stared.
Strength: 7 → 17
Speed: 5 → 15
Dexterity: 4 → 14
Constitution: 4 → 14
Luck: 1 → 11
"…I don't look pathetic anymore," Xavier muttered.
He wasn't strong. Not compared to high-ranked Awakened. But he was no longer fragile. No longer one bad hit away from dying.
Finally, only one reward remained.
The Legendary Skill Ticket.
Xavier selected it, and three massive icons appeared before him.
The first was mechanical in nature.
[Legendary Skill: Engine Sync]
Synchronize the host's body with a machine's engine.
Temporarily convert mechanical performance into physical attributes.
The host may select two stats to receive boosts based on engine output.
"…That's busted," Xavier whispered, immediately imagining his old car roaring to life.
The second option appeared beside it.
[Legendary Item: Infinite Sized Bag]
A storage item capable of holding anything, regardless of size or weight.
Stored items maintain original condition—hot remains hot, cold remains cold.
"Perfect for deliveries," he said instinctively.
Then the third option appeared.
It wasn't an item.
It was a silhouette.
[Legendary Assistant]
A versatile humanoid assistant capable of performing tasks ranging from S-Class cooking to combat support.
Loyal to the host.
Xavier frowned.
"…An assistant?"
All three were incredible. Any one of them would redefine his future.
As he weighed his options, a thought slipped through his mind.
"System," Xavier said aloud. "If I'm going to be a delivery driver… shouldn't I already have some kind of magical storage space?"
The system responded instantly.
[Correct, Host.]
[The system will provide a standard delivery bag.]
Xavier nodded slowly.
"Then that takes care of that."
The Infinite Sized Bag vanished from consideration.
Now there were only two options left.
Engine Sync.
Legendary Assistant.
Xavier rubbed his chin.
Then another thought occurred to him.
"System… you said you're not a final villain," he said carefully. "So why can't you just act as my assistant instead?"
Silence.
Then—
[Ding]
[Hidden Mission Discovered]
[Choose Wisely – Only Take What You Need]
[Reward: All Three Legendary Rewards]
"…What?"
Xavier stared at the screen, completely dumbfounded.
Before he could say anything else, the system moved on.
[Hidden Mission Completed]
The legendary choices dissolved.
The rewards resolved automatically.
A final status screen appeared.

Xavier exhaled slowly.
"So I got everything," he said. "But only what I actually need is active."
Smart.
Almost too smart.
He lowered his gaze from the screen.
Then he froze.
Standing in the middle of his small room was a woman.
Completely naked.
She had long hair cascading down her back, flawless skin, and eyes that locked onto his the moment he noticed her.
Xavier's brain shut down.
"…System," he said weakly.
The woman tilted her head slightly.
"Legendary Assistant reporting for duty," she said calmly.
Xavier screamed internally.
