Chapter 7: Magical Delivery LLC

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Xavier groaned as the alarm drilled into his skull.

He rolled over—

—and immediately fell off the couch.

"Son of a—!"

He hit the floor with a dull thud, limbs tangled in a blanket that smelled faintly like cheap detergent and exhaustion. Groaning, he stared up at the ceiling, blinking as yesterday rushed back into his mind.

Casino. Cards. Twenty million. Warehouse.

…Serena.

Xavier pushed himself up and glanced toward his bedroom.

The door was cracked open.

Inside, sprawled comfortably across his bed, was Serena—completely relaxed, wrapped in his blanket like she owned the place.

She had taken the bed without even asking.

Xavier sighed deeply.

"I grew up with three sisters," he muttered. "I should've known."

Some mysteries of the universe simply had no explanation—female brains included. Flesh-and-blood or system-made, it didn't matter.

Dragging himself to the bathroom, Xavier washed up quickly, splashing cold water on his face until he was fully awake. Today mattered. A lot.

After changing, he headed into the kitchen and started breakfast with the groceries he'd bought the night before. Eggs, toast, simple stuff. He wasn't trying to impress anyone.

While the pan heated, he laid out a fresh set of clothes for Serena on the counter.

He still couldn't believe how easily he'd won that twenty million.

Old Man Avery definitely let me have it, Xavier thought. But I'll take it.

Footsteps echoed softly behind him.

Xavier turned.

Serena stood there in crisp business attire—a fitted blazer, pencil skirt, and heels. Her red hair was neatly tied back, green eyes sharp and focused. She looked less like a system assistant and more like a ruthless corporate executive.

"Hurry and eat breakfast," she said calmly. "We must be at the location by 9:00 a.m. It is already 8:30."

Xavier glanced at the clock and cursed under his breath. "Yeah, yeah. Sit down."

They ate quickly, mostly in silence. Serena observed everything with eerie attentiveness, while Xavier inhaled his food like a man racing time itself.

By 8:45, they were out the door and flagging down a taxi.

The taxi pulled up in front of a massive, fenced-off property near the outskirts of the city. The structure looming behind the gates was enormous—an old logistics warehouse, reinforced concrete and steel, with more land around it than Xavier expected.

"This place is… huge," Xavier muttered.

As they approached the entrance, a petite woman in a professional suit stepped forward, clipboard in hand.

"Hello," she said with a polite smile. "You must be Xavier Cross and Serena Cross."

Xavier blinked at the shared last name but didn't correct her.

"Yes," he said, extending his hand. "I'm Xavier. Avery Asher recommended this location."

The woman froze.

Her eyes widened slightly before she quickly recovered, gripping his hand a little tighter.

" I-I see," she said carefully. Her posture straightened instantly. "If that's the case, then you must be very busy. The property is quite large, as you can see."

"It's perfect," Xavier said, scanning the building. "Let's fill out the paperwork."

Her eyes widened again.

"Oh! Of course—sorry. I haven't properly introduced myself." She bowed her head slightly. "My name is Cathy Kalls."

"Nice to meet you, Cathy," Xavier replied. "Let's get started."

She hesitated. "You don't want to inspect the inside first?"

"No," Xavier said confidently. "Everything that needs fixing will be replaced or repaired."

Cathy stared at him for a moment, then nodded, swallowing her questions. "Very well."

They moved to a small office near the entrance where paperwork was already prepared.

"There are five pages," Cathy said. "Once completed, the deed will be transferred immediately."

"Good," Xavier said, then turned to Serena with a grin. "You're up. Finish the paperwork in twenty minutes and I'll buy you whatever you want."

Serena looked at him blankly.

"I will finish in fifteen minutes," she said. "For a more expensive hat."

Xavier twitched.

"You already made me buy you five hats yesterday," he said through gritted teeth. "You're wearing one right now."

"I require variety," Serena replied calmly.

"…Which one?"

"A Nike model," she said. "I researched them on your laptop last night."

Xavier pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine. One. Fifteen minutes. I'm timing you."

Serena sat down.

The pen moved.

Fifteen minutes passed.

Then ten more.

Xavier was finalizing the money transfer with Cathy when Serena casually stood up, scrolling on a sleek new phone.

"Done," she said.

Xavier glanced at the paperwork.

Perfect.

"…You took twenty minutes."

"Yes," Serena replied. "But I completed additional clauses to optimize long-term ownership. Also, I ordered supplies."

Xavier slowly turned toward her. "You ordered what?"

She lifted the phone. "Items."

Cathy cleared her throat nervously and slid the final documents forward.

"That's everything," she said. "The deed and keys to the building."

Xavier accepted them, surprised to see the land included in full ownership.

"Thank you," he said. "We're going to explore a bit before leaving."

Cathy nodded and departed quickly, clearly eager to be gone.

The moment she disappeared—

[Ding]

[Mission: Purchase a Building for Deliveries – Completed]

[Reward: Full Building Overhaul]

The ground shook.

Xavier grabbed Serena instinctively as the warehouse rumbled violently. Concrete groaned. Steel screamed.

"What the hell?!" Xavier shouted as they rushed outside.

The entire area trembled like an earthquake—then abruptly stopped.

Silence.

A massive translucent panel appeared in front of Xavier.

[Construction Complete]

[Magical Delivery LLC Activated]

[First Business: Restaurant Acquired]

Xavier stared at the building.

Where the old warehouse once stood now rose a fully renovated, modern structure—sleek design, reinforced walls, glowing runes embedded into the foundation.

A sign formed above the entrance.

MAGICAL DELIVERY LLC

Xavier let out a slow breath.

Serena looked up at him.

"The business is operational," she said. "Congratulations, Xavier."

A grin slowly spread across his face.

"Yeah," he said. "Let's get to work."
