Hayato's shout echoed in the suddenly silent backyard. But the shout seemed to drown in the aura emitted by the newly summoned figure.
Lilith, Mother of Desire, simply smiled. Her smile was not a friendly one, but a smile full of knowledge—as if she understood every turmoil, every hidden desire, every weak point in the hearts that gazed upon her.
Her green eyes swept over Hayato from head to toe, then shifted to Lala, where her smile changed slightly, becoming more curious.
"Ah… a summoning," her voice came out, melodious and deep, like honey poured into the ears.
"And in a world that is quite… interesting." She sniffed the air elegantly.
"The scent of a pure young alien, and… ah, a human with a wounded soul and nascent conceptual power. A captivating combination."
Hayato immediately took a defensive stance, though physically he knew it was useless against the entity before him, especially one of the Berserker class.
But instinct from his previous life—the instinct of a victim of betrayal—told him to always be wary. "What is your purpose?"
Lilith floated closer, her black dress fluttering without wind. "My name is Lilith. The first. Mother of all desire and longing. And my purpose?" She laughed softly, her voice like the rustle of silk.
"I am here because you called me. Or more precisely, the system attached to you—with a little 'help' from an unseen hand—called me."
[Zelretch.] Hayato grumbled inwardly.
SERA, her hologram still blinking red, spoke with a flat voice amplified in volume.
[Warning: Emotional and pheromone influence levels exceed normal parameters. Host advised to maintain distance. System continuing efforts to neutralize effects.]
Lala stepped forward, standing beside Hayato, her tail upright and vibrating warily. "You must not hurt Hayato!"
Lilith looked at Lala, her expression warming—not with affection, but with an interest like a scientist observing a rare specimen.
"Alien Princess. A powerful race, with technology surpassing magic. And you… so pure in your desire. So direct. 'Want to marry'. That's adorable."
She extended a hand, and a soft pink energy stream flowed from her fingertip towards Lala.
Without thinking, Hayato raised his hand. "Wall."
Using Arc of Embodiment Tier 2, he manifested a transparent yet solid wall of air, made from the concepts of "rejection" and "protection". Lilith's pink energy struck the wall and bounced off, then dissipated.
Lilith raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Oh? Basic-level reality manipulation, but with good efficiency for your level. You learn fast, Master."
"I am not your master," Hayato denied, his breath slightly ragged. Manifesting "concepts" like that was heavier than creating physical objects.
"And I did not ask for you to come."
"But you pressed the button," Lilith countered sweetly.
"And in the rules of the Grail—or in this case, your 'system'—that forms a contract. A Master and Servant relationship. Although…" She looked Hayato over from head to toe again.
"...you don't even have decent magic circuits. Your power comes from elsewhere. Very interesting."
"If you are my Servant," said Hayato, trying to take control of the situation, "then you must obey me."
Lilith laughed, her voice resonating. "Obey? Oh, Master. I am Lilith. The concept of desire itself. I do not 'obey' in the usual sense. But… as long as your desires align with my nature—that is, to satisfy desire, pursue longing, enjoy pleasure—then we can cooperate." Her eyes sparkled.
"And from the vibrations of your soul, I can feel… a very great desire. The desire to survive. To protect. To have power so as to never be betrayed again. That… is delicious."
Hayato shuddered. This entity could read him too easily. This was dangerous.
"Hayato," Lala whispered, holding his hand. "I… feel strange. Want to get closer to her, but also afraid."
"That's her influence," Hayato answered shortly. He stared at Lilith. "Can you control your pheromone and emotional influence effects? Turn it off. Now."
Lilith pretended to ponder. "Hmm… a command. Very well. I want to see what you will do without my external influence."
She raised a hand, and as if an invisible pressure lifted from the surrounding air. The atmosphere still felt magical, but the wild urges in Hayato's mind subsided. Lala also appeared more relaxed.
"Better, My name is Hayato Hayama. Human." Hayato murmured.
"Now, the important question: what do you gain from this contract? And what do you want?"
"Straight to the point. I like that," Lilith praised.
"As a Servant summoned in the 'Berserker' vessel—though I feel a more fitting class might be 'Beast' or 'Alter Ego'—I need a supply of energy to remain manifested in this world. Usually from the Master through magic circuits. But you don't have them. However, your conceptual power… can give me the 'essence' I need. A strong imagination, a burning desire—that is food for me."
"And my desire?" Lilith continued, her smile returning to her lips.
"To experience. This world is full of complex desires—love, hatred, ambition, greed, loyalty, betrayal. I want to witness it, feel it, and perhaps… play a little. Of course, as long as it doesn't damage our contract." She looked at Hayato with a sharp gaze.
"You are an interesting Master. An anomaly. Keeping you alive and thriving… will be very entertaining."
[SERA: Host, data analysis complete. Entity 'Lilith' has high parameters: Strength D+, Endurance B+, Agility B, Mana A+, Luck B, Noble Phantasm EX. Classification as 'Berserker' appears due to her conceptual nature that destabilizes emotions, not due to battle madness. Advised to be extra careful.]
EX in Noble Phantasm. Of course. She is the personification of desire, an almost fundamental power.
"Alright," Hayato finally said, sighing. "You can stay. But on conditions." He raised one finger.
"First, you must not harm or manipulate Lala, or people I consider under my protection."
Lilith was silent for a moment. Her green eyes blinked slowly. Not out of anger—but because she realized Hayato prioritized others before himself.
"...You set boundaries, even though I was born without limits…"
"But if that's part of your world… I will hold back my fangs, Master." Her tone was soft, but there was a restrained wild pressure.
"Second, you will help me understand my power and face threats in this world—especially those related to outer entities and god-level beings."
The goddess-like devil side within her surged. She was not a weak entity—and that request sounded like an invitation to dance on a battlefield of desire and existence.
"Facing gods and horrors from outside reality? You really know how to make a woman fall in love…" She lowered her head, drawing closer. The purple aura around her body began to vibrate softly.
"Your power... is not yet fully wild. But I can help you tame your chaos—with deeper chaos."
"Third, your emotional influence and pheromones must always be under your full control. Do not seduce other men, only me."
At that moment—Lilith froze briefly.
An entity created from the desire of all living beings since the beginning, being demanded to limit her allure to only one person.
"You… want to bind me. Even though I was born because the world was never faithful."
"...But you are different. You... summoned me not out of lust, but... out of will."
Then Lilith smiled faintly.
Not a seductive smile, but the smile of a woman who finally wants to be truly possessed.
There was no music, no explosion.
Just one second…
When Hayato's lips touched Lilith's lips—
The entire purple aura around her collapsed slowly, like rose petals burned by the wind.
Her horns glowed faintly, then dimmed.
The wings of her Desire trembled, then folded slowly.
And for the first time, Lilith closed her eyes not in surrender... but in trust.
"...You kissed me, not because of a contract... but because you chose me, above all your other desires."
"Then, Master... I will become more than just a manifestation of desire."
"I will become the boundary between your instinct and your will. And I will never leave your side... even if this world perishes."
Then a red Command Seal symbol appeared on his right hand.
Hayato did not retreat. He looked directly into those green eyes. "Always be by my side, do not act recklessly."
"I know," Lilith whispered, then stepped back. She looked around the simple backyard.
"So, this is our headquarters? Quite… simple. But that's fine. I can make it more comfortable."
She raised a hand, and with a graceful motion, an ornate chair with black velvet cushions materialized from the air, followed by a small table with a vase containing black roses.
"Don't!" Hayato exclaimed, but too late. "Don't manifest objects carelessly in the real world! It will attract attention!"
"Relax," Lilith replied, sitting elegantly in her chair.
"These objects are not truly 'real'. They are projections of the concepts 'comfort' and 'aesthetics' that I have infused into the local reality. They will last as long as I am here, and disappear if I leave. They will not leave physical traces." She looked at Hayato.
"You could do similar things with your power, if you understood it."
Hayato sighed again. It seemed he would be sighing a lot today. "Lala," he turned to his Fiancée who was still wary. "Are you okay?"
Lala nodded, but her eyes were still fixed on Lilith. "She's… beautiful. But dangerous. But why did you suddenly kiss her?"
He cleared his throat, "To ensure she doesn't pose a danger to others."
"We will need space for her," Hayato murmured. His house only had two bedrooms.
"Lilith, do you need a physical space to 'stay'?"
"No need," Lilith answered, lifting a cup of black tea that suddenly appeared in her hand.
"I can merge with shadows, or remain in spiritual form when not needed. But if you wish, I can take one of your rooms. I don't sleep in the human sense."
"No," Hayato said quickly. "You can… use the other room. Lala shares a room with me."
Lilith narrowed her eyes.
Her voice was soft, but there was a subtle tone like the whisper of a Beast's incantation. "Then... I will also sleep by your side."
"Not to compete... but to ensure you do not forget who called me here because of yourself."
Hayato thought there might be trouble sleeping at night.
Lala cheerfully jumped up and down. "Yay, sleeping together!"
Suddenly, SERA gave another notification.
[SERA: Host, there's an incoming message in the Party Chat system. From… Zelretch?]
A chat window opened, with a simple username: Kaleidoscope.
[Kaleidoscope: Glad to see you've accepted my 'gift', Hayato. Lilith is quite an interesting entity, isn't she? She can be a good teacher, or a delightful disaster. Depending on how you use her.]
[Hayato: This isn't a gift. It's a time bomb.]
[Kaleidoscope: All power is a time bomb, young man. Even your Arc of Embodiment. What matters is learning to light the fuse correctly. Oh, and don't worry about the 'cost' of maintaining her. Your system—and your conceptual power—is unique enough to sustain her without melting your brain. For now.]
[Hayato: What is the real purpose of all this?]
[Kaleidoscope: Entertainment. Knowledge. And perhaps… a little investment. The world you are in is approaching a critical point. Many threads of fate are beginning to intersect. An anomaly like you, if you survive, could become a key player. Or at least, provide a good show.]
[Kaleidoscope: Fun fact: Usually to tame an entity like Lilith, you need:
· 3 layers of Saint Graph system
· A contract with 5 Command Seals
· Or… the death of one world in exchange for her soul
Have fun!]
The connection cut off.
Hayato closed his eyes. He was surrounded by extraordinary beings: the alien princess of a galactic king, an AI system from an unknown source, and now: Lilith, the personification of desire from the Fate world.
And all of it observed by a meddling multiversal wizard.
"It seems we have an audience," said Lilith, sipping her tea. "That old man always likes to observe new things."
"You know Zelretch?" asked Hayato.
"Directly? No. But as a conceptual entity, I am aware of the existence of beings like him. He is one of the few who understands the nature of 'desire' well."
Lilith set down her cup. "So, Master. What is your plan now? Attending school? Dating? Or… starting experiments with your new power?"
Hayato looked towards Lala, who was now beginning to approach Lilith with curiosity, then at his simple house. His quiet life as an "NPC" had truly ended.
"First," he said, "we need to rearrange this house. Second, I need to train. Arc of Embodiment Tier 2 is still limited. I need Tier 3 for bigger things." He looked at Lilith.
"You said you could help me understand it?"
Lilith smiled, a smile full of promise and danger. "Of course, Master. I will teach you how to shape your desires into reality… with all the consequences."
The afternoon sun grew hot again, as if the seal of silence earlier had been lifted. But for Hayato, the world would never be the same again.
He had drawn the attention of entities that should not exist in his world, and now he had to learn to live with it—or die because of it.
