Several hours had passed since Gilgamesh rescued Asia and brought her home.
The house had welcomed the girl warmly.
Sebas and Gilgamesh themselves prepared a feast for her — dishes Asia had never tasted before in her life. Warm food filled the table while the others chatted peacefully, laughter occasionally breaking the calm atmosphere.
For someone who had lived under strict supervision within the Church, the moment felt almost surreal.
A home.
People laughing freely.
A table shared not because of duty… but because they wanted to.
Well.
Almost everyone was calm.
Which led directly to the current situation.
Somehow — no one knew how it escalated so quickly — Gilgamesh had managed to pin Mordred flat against the rooftop.
Her arms were twisted behind her back while Gilgamesh pressed her down effortlessly. With his free hand he repeatedly flicked and swatted at her messy blond hair with pure mischievous delight.
"Hey! Leave my pieces alone, Mordred! I need them, you know!"
Mordred's eye twitched violently.
Her entire body trembled.
She looked ready to destroy the entire block.
Actually…
She looked ready to destroy Gilgamesh specifically.
The moment he loosened his grip, Gilgamesh jumped backward with an agile leap, landing lightly on a nearby rooftop.
His grin widened as he leaned forward mockingly.
"Come on, try catching me."
Mordred's sword appeared instantly.
"Get down here and I'll cut them off, bastard!"
Gilgamesh shivered dramatically.
"Ahhh, scary! I don't want~!"
His body twitched theatrically as he clutched himself.
Which only made Mordred angrier.
"Why are you—"
"Mordred."
Sebas's voice cut through the chaos like a blade.
Mordred didn't turn around.
But she did growl.
For a brief moment, Sebas wondered if she would actually ignore him.
Instead she pointed angrily toward Gilgamesh.
"Hey! That's not fair! He started it!"
Sebas sighed softly.
"Never mind. If he does it again, you may fill him with holes."
Mordred's eyes lit up instantly.
"Promise?"
"EH?!"
Gilgamesh squeaked loudly from his rooftop perch.
"What are you, a sadist?! I'm not immortal! That'll kill me!"
A second later—
His grin returned.
"That's because you can't do it now."
His voice carried pure smugness.
"Cursed brat!"
Mordred roared as Clarent materialized in her hand.
She lunged.
Gilgamesh drew a sword instantly.
Steel met steel.
CLANG!
Their blades collided in rapid succession as sparks scattered across the rooftop.
Both moved quickly, exchanging blows with incredible speed as their playful duel continued.
Meanwhile—
Asia watched the entire scene nervously.
Her hands were clasped tightly in front of her chest.
Valerie appeared beside her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry," Valerie said with a soft smile.
"They won't hurt each other."
Asia nodded slowly.
She trusted Valerie.
After all, she lived with the man who saved her.
But Valerie's smile slowly changed.
It widened.
Mischievously.
From somewhere — no one knew where — Valerie pulled out a magazine and handed it to Asia.
"Here. Read this."
Asia blinked in confusion.
Then she started reading.
Her face turned red almost instantly.
"Th-th-this is—"
Her voice trembled as her blush deepened.
At that moment—
Gilgamesh and Mordred landed beside her.
Both had stopped fighting because Sebas had just struck them both on the head with terrifying accuracy.
Gilgamesh noticed Asia's expression.
Curious, he took the magazine.
He read the first page.
His eyes widened immediately.
"This is porn, Valerie."
He pointed accusingly at the dhampir.
Mordred stared at Valerie in absolute shock.
"You pervert! You will NOT corrupt Asia!"
Clarent reappeared in her hand.
Valerie simply smiled.
Slowly.
Dangerously.
"Oh don't be like that," she purred. "I wouldn't mind exploring the corridors of Camelot with you… if you know what I mean~"
Mordred blinked.
Once.
Twice.
Then realization struck.
Her entire face turned bright red.
"YOU PERVERT!"
She charged.
The result?
Valerie ran.
Laughing loudly.
Mordred chased her across the rooftops with murderous intent.
Asia stood frozen, unsure what to do.
Gilgamesh and Enkidu watched the chaos while barely holding back their laughter.
Sebas chased both girls with the tired patience of someone who had accepted that this household would never be peaceful.
Eventually—
The house quieted.
Much later.
The clock read 3:14 AM.
Gilgamesh woke up feeling thirsty.
He quietly left his room and walked toward the kitchen.
A glass of water sounded perfect.
And perhaps a visit to the bathroom as well.
While drinking his water, he glanced outside through the window.
Someone was standing in the backyard.
Asia.
She stood quietly under the moonlight, gazing up at the night sky.
Gilgamesh tilted his head slightly.
What was she doing awake at this hour?
Curiosity stirred.
He stepped outside.
"Still awake too, huh?"
Asia turned immediately.
"Hero-san!"
The moonlight illuminated her figure.
Her long blond hair swayed gently in the breeze.
Her emerald green eyes reflected the pale glow of the moon.
She was beautiful.
Not overwhelmingly seductive like Rias.
But softly beautiful.
Pure.
Gentle.
When Gilgamesh looked at Rias, he felt something different.
Power.
Pride.
A hidden darkness beneath elegance.
But Asia…
Asia felt different.
Her aura was warm.
Pure.
Comforting.
Standing there beneath the moon, she almost resembled an angel.
White wings spreading across a peaceful field.
If someone asked him who was more beautiful—
Rias.
Sona.
Or Asia Argento—
His answer would be simple.
Asia.
"Did I wake you up somehow?" Asia asked nervously. "I'm sorry if—"
"Relax."
Gilgamesh waved his hand casually.
"I woke up because I was thirsty."
He stepped closer.
"And you can call me Gilgamesh."
"I won't mind."
Asia blinked.
"But didn't Hero-san say it was a rule to call you that?"
Gilgamesh chuckled softly.
"Well… for a pretty girl like you, breaking the rule is fine."
Asia blushed immediately.
But she shook her head.
"I can't do that. It wouldn't be right to give me special treatment."
Gilgamesh almost sighed.
She really was innocent.
He had only been joking when he made that rule.
But she had taken it seriously.
"Then how about this," he said.
"I'll allow it because you're my friend."
Asia froze.
"Friend…?"
Her expression went blank.
Her eyes lost focus.
As if the word itself was unfamiliar.
As if the concept had never existed in her world.
"Hero-san… wants to be my friend?"
She tilted her head slightly.
Her voice carried genuine confusion.
That expression…
Didn't suit her.
A girl with such warmth should never look that empty.
"Yes."
Gilgamesh nodded calmly.
"I'll be your friend."
He frowned slightly.
"Why? You don't want that?"
Asia's blank expression shattered immediately.
"N-no!"
She shook her head quickly.
"It's just… someone like Hero-san wanting to be friends with me…"
Her voice became quiet.
She lowered her face.
"And what's wrong with that?"
Gilgamesh asked gently.
"You're kind."
"You're sincere."
"And you're a pretty girl."
He shrugged lightly.
"Who in their right mind wouldn't want to be friends with you?"
