I blinked and the once green pastures had become a plain of... white? Snow? But it doesn't snow at all around these parts, the snow is even thick. In that instance, I was dumbfounded and confused. I already had a lot going on, from abandoning the whole war to pursue my selfish desires to ensuring my survival. I was tired, very tired indeed. I turned to look behind me and I saw... a rabbit? It was white and sorta looked cute so I tried to pet it, well... I tried but I just couldn't feel it, I wonder why I can't feel it, now that I think about it, I'm not even touching it, wait a minute, I can't even feel my ha... ARRRGGHH!!!.
Narrator's POV
He looked down to his right hand only to see it torn out, he let out an ear piercing screem. He looked up to find five rabbits standing behind the one in front of him, each one of them nomming profusely on one of his 5 fingers while the one infront if him was nomming at his palm. His face contorted into an expression that could only be described as dismay, despair, disgust and the non existence of hope. He turned to run as fast as he could only to stumble and fall flat on his face. He looked to his left leg, no, he looked FOR his left leg that was meant to be there but, it wasn't, he thought for a second 'why isn't it there?' Before letting out a loud cry, rolling back and forth on the ground, writhing in an endless spiral of pain and agony as blood gushed out like a broken pipe staining the white thing that resembled snow red alongside his vision. Several, no, at least thousands of rabbits approached him just to begin rapidly tearing his flesh apart, they nommed over and over again till they reached the fibres of his muscles, they tore through them too, they worked their way from his lower half slowly, carefully and diligently almost asif to mock the man's powerlessness. Now, they had arrived at his abdomen, they tore that open as well and made it into his insides, to his intestines, the sight was unfathomable, mercilessly and brutally gruesome, they had been eating him from the inside out.
Right now, all he could feel was pain, his senses had become pain, his feelings were pain, emotions were pain, his mind was pain, his consciousness and subconsciousness are now pain, his life had become pain, his very existence had become pain, pain coursed through his very being, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, pain, right now, this man had become the very definition and embodiment of pain. He was conscious through it all, he is conscious through it all, the violation of his body, mind, psychology and soul by these gluttonous rabbits who feasted upon his dying self. His mind had become numb, he could only feel pain now. Now, he prayed, prayed for death to come and come with haste, he begged for it, hoped for it, desired it, lust for it, obsessed over having it, all he wanted right now was to die. A rabbit came into his blood stained vision, it tilted its head before.... sinking it's teeth into his skull.
AND SO.... HE DIED
In the midst of the boundless darkness of the abyss, a familiar voice spoke, the voice of a... woman? No. It was the voice of a witch
"RESET"
His eyes peered open once more to see the nurses administering healing techniques to his body, his sight had returned. The iron smell of blood and the suffocation of smoke, his smell had returned. The sounds of gunshots and shouts echoed and reverberated through his ears, his hearing had returned. The disgusting taste of the herbs being forced down his throat lingered on his tongue, his taste had returned. He could feel the bandages being wrapped around his arms and chest, the pain of his injuries of a few cuts and bruises, a few stabs here and there, swellings on some parts of his skin too, his senses had returned. He was.....
ALIVE
