Chapter 10 - Compensation

Mu Qingyao walked in as if she were out for a leisurely stroll, her pace slow and sinuous, every step carrying a lazy languor.

A jade-green outfit covered most of her body. Long sleeves draped softly, and a thin veil clung to her delicate curves, modest yet as if deliberately exposing her bare shoulder and those cold-white collarbones.

A belt cinched lightly at her waist, accentuating her slender figure, while the skirt was slit just enough to reveal a stretch of thigh and her long, smooth legs.

Her bare feet, as if carved from pristine white jade, stepped across the ground. Her toenails blushed pink, and her calves and toes possessed flawless proportions.

She was simply walking, yet those steps alone were enough to stir desire in anyone watching.

Her face was dangerously beautiful. Her eyes curved with a hint of amusement, alluring yet distant, as though a single glance could throw a heart into chaos.

The Sixth Elder frowned, his voice carrying a trace of chill. "Second Elder, what are you trying to do?"

"Ah!" Mu Qingyao laughed. "That's what I should be asking you. Sixth Elder, what are you planning to do? Don't tell me... you truly intend to monopolize this Human Pill all by yourself?"

"Human Pill? What are you talking about?" The Sixth Elder frowned. "This Disciple murdered a fellow disciple and deserves punishment. I'm only carrying out my duty as the head of the Law Enforcement Hall."

Mu Qingyao gave a faint, disdainful smile. Her slender fingers, nails sharp and pointed like blades, traced lightly through the air.

Ting!

A sound like tiny bells chimed as wind slipped through, and ripples in the air spread outward in all directions, like a stone tossed into a lake.

Phut!

The invisible strands of Spiritual power the Sixth Elder had been using to bind Ri Guang exploded, making him drop.

"What the hell?!" Ri Guang shouted in shock. Seeing himself about to fall into the cauldron below, at that very moment...

"Huk!" Ri Guang stopped instantly. Before he could fall into it, his body hovered less than five centimeters from the cauldron's mouth.

Right after that, he felt as if an invisible hand had seized him, pulling him toward Mu Qingyao.

Thud!

Ri Guang slammed onto the ground like a sack, pain flaring through him, yet he was also overwhelmingly relieved to have escaped death.

But he didn't dare make a sound, because Mu Qingyao also knew he was a Human Pill, which meant that... her purpose was the same as the Sixth Elder's.

At this moment, the Sixth Elder's face had turned utterly gloomy and cold. He spoke, his voice heavy as if a mountain were pressing down on Ri Guang. "Second Elder, do you truly have to interfere in this matter? I'm carrying out the Law Enforcement Hall's duties properly."

"Hahaha..." Mu Qingyao laughed, her smile brimming with contempt and arrogance.

She didn't rush to answer the Sixth Elder. Instead, she took step after step toward Ri Guang. Her feet didn't touch the ground, protected by a layer of Spiritual power. Those slender legs moved as if she were dancing, slowly closing in on Ri Guang.

She bent slightly at the waist. Her full breasts hung forward, revealing a swath of snow-white skin and cleavage so deep its bottom couldn't be seen. Her hands braced on her plump thighs, her pale skin tinged with a sensual flush.

Only then did Ri Guang see Mu Qingyao's face from so close, and his heart shook violently.

Her beauty was no less than Lãng Nguyệt's.

Mu Qingyao's face was the kind that made one want to stare, yet fear to look for too long.

Soft yet sharp features, skin white and fine as if dusted with a cold mist. Lips gently curved, half-smile, half-not, as though hiding a sweet secret that was also dangerous.

But her eyes were the most terrifying of all. Peach blossom eyes, the outer corners slightly lifted, her gaze wet and deep like strong liquor.

Suddenly, Ri Guang felt as if his consciousness was being dragged into her eyes.

"What?!" Ri Guang jolted, only to see himself sitting on a huge bed, surrounded by cottony white clouds drifting past.

Then, out of nowhere, Mu Qingyao appeared. At this moment, she wore only a red dudou, and below it a high-slit skirt that displayed her perfect long legs.

Mu Qingyao smiled at him, that smile as if it wanted to hook his very soul.

"Ah... ah..." Ri Guang wanted to say something, but he realized he could only open his mouth. He couldn't speak, and he couldn't move either.

Mu Qingyao crawled onto the bed, then slowly crawled toward him, her body like a snake, rubbing and sliding against his.

Ri Guang felt a softness and warmth coming from her body, and his mind was gradually set ablaze by the flames of desire.

Right at this moment, the Sun-Moon Co-Illumination cultivation technique suddenly began circulating on its own.

The scene abruptly changed. The clouds around them suddenly stopped drifting. In the sky, an enormous sun and an enormous moon suddenly appeared.

Mu Qingyao flinched, looking up at the sky. Astonishment and fear were plainly written on her face, but immediately after, she suddenly laughed.

"Hahahaha... interesting..." she said with a laugh, her slender finger lightly tapping his forehead, accompanied by her soft voice.

'This...' Ri Guang startled awake, discovering that it seemed only one second had passed.

In the blink of an eye, he leaned back slightly, trying to get away from Mu Qingyao, cursing inwardly: 'That was dangerous. This woman... she seems to cultivate some kind of technique that can bewitch others.'

Seeing Ri Guang's expression, Mu Qingyao let out a snort of laughter. "Hahaha... looks like you're not completely useless after all."

"Second Elder!" The Sixth Elder's voice rang out, filled with impatience. "This is the Law Enforcement Hall's matter. You can't interfere."

Mu Qingyao glanced at the Sixth Elder, slowly straightened up, her index finger tapping her plump cheek. She tilted her head slightly, pretending to think, and her gentle voice sounded. "Hm... what if I stubbornly insist on taking him away? Sixth Elder, it seems you can't stop me, can you?"

"You..." The Sixth Elder ground his teeth, but he knew one thing: Mu Qingyao was right. He couldn't stop her.

"Good!" Mu Qingyao said, clapping her hands together.

Clap!

The instant the clap sounded, a surge of Spiritual power shot outward like a violent gale, sweeping across the Sixth Elder's body and making him jolt.

"You... you broke through." The Sixth Elder said in fear, stammering.

"Hehehe..." Mu Qingyao grinned mischievously. "Still a little short, but I'm almost there. That's exactly why, Sixth Elder, it's better that I take him away."

The Sixth Elder clenched his fists, his face so dark it was terrifying, and he gritted his teeth. "Second Elder, so what if your cultivation is higher than mine? He broke the rules. He must be punished."

"Hahahaha..." Mu Qingyao laughed, the laughter ringing with utmost contempt. "Sixth Elder, don't you find what you just said ridiculous?"

"What do you mean?!" the Sixth Elder shouted with a frown.

Mu Qingyao said, "In the Hehuan Sect, although there are rules that fellow disciples aren't allowed to slaughter each other, it's different when it comes to fighting over a cultivation partner."

"Ri Guang killed his Senior Brother to fight over a cultivation partner. That isn't wrong. His Senior Brother's skills were inferior to Ri Guang's. It's normal for him to die."

"Huh!" The Sixth Elder snorted with disdain, saying angrily, "Second Elder, you treat assassination as something normal?"

Hearing that, Mu Qingyao covered her mouth with her beautiful hand, pretending to be shocked. "Wow! So it's normal for him to try to force himself on Ri Guang?"

"That..." For a moment, the Sixth Elder couldn't find any explanation.

Mu Qingyao continued, "Sixth Elder, have you forgotten your secret?"

"You... bastard!" The Sixth Elder was so furious his face flushed red, both hands clenched so tightly they let out a harsh creaking sound.

But after a while, he took a deep breath and sighed, flicked his sleeve, then said, "Fine! Consider this a misunderstanding. You may leave."

Mu Qingyao pursed her lips. "Tch! A misunderstanding? Then there has to be compensation."

"Compensation?!" The Sixth Elder's face, already pale like an anemic patient, turned red like a traffic light. He gritted his teeth and said, "Second Elder, don't go too far. You came here, not only broke the Law Enforcement Hall's door but also snatched my criminal, and now you want me to compensate you?"

Mu Qingyao covered her mouth and laughed seductively. "Hahaha... Sixth Elder, not compensation for me, but compensation for him."

As she spoke, she pointed at Ri Guang.

At this moment, Ri Guang wished he could find a hole to crawl into, to avoid the struggle between these two elders. But Mu Qingyao? She shoved him straight into the highest position, turning him into a windmill, forcing him to face this terrifying storm head-on.
