I was about to take a shower before going to bed when someone suddenly knocked on the door.
From outside, Meena's voice came.
"Miss Nidhi, are you asleep? Madam is calling you downstairs to have some soup."
Nidhi was not hungry, but she could not refuse her mother. So she went downstairs.
Kavita felt that her children were growing up very sensibly. Smiling, she said to Mansi at the dining table,
"Mansi, you don't need to do all this or trouble yourself."
The Singhania family had always taken good care of Mansi. After living together for eighteen years, a bond of love had naturally formed between them. That bond was not going to fade just because Nidhi had suddenly returned. Even though Mansi was not their biological daughter, they loved her just the same. Seeing Mansi do such small things for the family made Kavita very happy.
As soon as she saw Nidhi coming downstairs, she smiled and said,
"Come, sit beside Mom, Nidhi. Mansi made this mushroom soup for everyone."
