Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Not good for the stomach.

I was overjoyed.

Just thinking about seeing my favorite character again tomorrow filled me with indescribable happiness. Lost in those thoughts, I drifted off to sleep without realizing it.

The next morning, relying on the remaining memories in my head, I went to class.

Now, my identity was that of a math teacher.

As soon as I entered the classroom, the whole class stood up to greet me.

I nodded, gesturing for them to sit down.

At that moment, my eyes unconsciously stopped at a corner of the classroom.

A young boy sat there, head bowed, his gloomy demeanor making him seem completely out of place in the group.

With just one glance, I recognized him… Han Yuqi.

But unlike the image I had hoped for, he looked much more melancholic. His eyes were dark, his face weary, as if he had just gone through something significant. I remember very clearly… he had just been dumped, the reason being his family's poverty.

Thinking of that, my heart softened.

After class, students gradually left the classroom.

Only Han Yuqi remained seated.

I walked to his desk, my voice unconsciously softening:

"Student, why are you still sitting here? Aren't you going home?"

Yuqi looked up at me. His eyes were cold and distant, his voice devoid of emotion:

"It's none of your business."

If it were someone else, they might have felt annoyed.

But I didn't.

On the contrary, I felt… inexplicably happy.

Aqi's voice… is so cute.

Seeing him look at me with a wary expression, I immediately dismissed my thoughts and gently reassured him:

"Um… you can stay here a little longer. But remember to go home later."

He didn't reply.

I didn't press the matter, I just quietly turned and left.

But after a few steps, I stopped.

I took a warm lunchbox out of my bag and gently placed it on his desk.

Under Yu Qi's somewhat bewildered gaze, I softly said,

"Don't starve yourself... It's not good for your stomach."

After saying that, I left the classroom without looking back.

Yu Qi watched my retreating back.

He was slightly taken aback, seemingly unaccustomed to this kind of concern.

After a while, he lowered his head and looked at the warm lunchbox on the desk.

He said nothing.

He just silently stared for a long time.

Back home, I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling, my mind filled with images of him.

I thought about how to approach him in the gentlest, slowest way possible.

I couldn't be too pushy.

Even more so, I couldn't make him feel repulsed.

Yu Qi was like a wounded cat...

If I moved too quickly, he would only get angry and run away.

"Take it slow..."

I murmured softly.

"Just let Kỳ get used to my existence."
