Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 Zoe likes Nathaniel

She felt that her parents' love for her was not fake. Even though she knew they were hiding something from her, she still didn't want to break this peace.

Natalie raised her eyebrows and turned to look at the gift her mother brought her.

After dinner, Nathaniel's company had something to do, so he had to go home early.

Before leaving, he suddenly remembered something and called Natalie back.

"Here are two tickets. If you don't have anything to do tonight, let's go see it."

She realized that they were tickets to a play at a theater that was very popular recently. These tickets were very difficult to buy and were only sold internally. Zoe searched for a long time but still couldn't get the tickets.

Seeing her silence for a long time, Nathaniel handed her the tickets again: "Don't you want to see it?"

She came to her senses, knowing that he was talking about the tickets. She smiled lightly, reached out, and took them: "Then I will thank you for Zoe."

Nathaniel stopped, his expression changed slightly, then smiled again: "I'll go first."

"Sister, you're really dishonest, don't you like watching TV series?" Henry heard their conversation from the side. After Nathaniel left, he squinted at Natalie.

No one in the family knew she had this hobby, but he happened to know.

Natalie frowned, calmly put the ticket in her pocket, and replied lightly: "That's because I like Zoe, I just want to join for fun."

"Oh." Henry didn't care; just as Andrew brought a racing video, he forgot all about it.

After receiving the ticket, she sent Zoe a message. Then, she went to the office to inform her parents and left.

The two of them arranged to meet at the gate of the drama garden.

When Natalie arrived, Zoe had not arrived yet.

"Natalie." A gentle voice sounded from behind.

She squinted slightly, turned to look.

Lily smiled affectionately, leaning against Samuel. But as soon as he saw her, the man pushed Lily away without mercy.

Feeling the man's movement, Lily's face stiffened, but she still leaned close to him, looking at Natalie provocatively.

"I didn't expect you to come to the theater." Natalie smiled lightly, her eyes cold: "It seems I underestimated Miss Lily's mental ability."

As soon as the words were spoken, Lily's expression changed slightly. She glanced at Samuel with a wronged expression, then turned her head, her expression puzzled: "Natalie, I don't understand why you did this. Even if I was with Samuel, you didn't need to send such things to scare me."

Natalie sneered, her delicate face full of disdain, her tone clearly disgusted: "Don't be so conceited, for someone like you, I don't need to make a fuss." Pausing for a moment, a trembling smile appeared in her eyes: "Moreover, I'm just doing what you want, right?"

Lily frowned, about to say something, when the man beside her suddenly moved.

"Aren't you going to watch the play? Why don't you go in and watch?"

Hearing the man's impatient voice, she clenched her fists, then felt the mocking gaze; her heart filled with hatred. Now, Samuel began to lose face with the woman in front of her.

Before she could think further, the man suddenly called Oliver to take her into the cinema.

She looked at him in surprise: "Aren't you going with me?"

"I'm not free," Samuel said briefly.

She was about to say something, but Oliver, beside her, pulled her in.

After Lily left, Natalie turned her face away, bowed her head, and played with her phone.

The man in front of her had no intention of leaving. He looked down at the game she was playing, then suddenly said, "I also play this game often, and my rank is quite high, so we can play together."

She paused, just then, Zoe's phone showed a message; it seemed like a text message had arrived. She put the phone away, half-smiling at him: "What are you doing, boss Samuel?"

Samuel's eyes darkened. He glanced at the woman in front of him, who was coldly avoiding him, then remembered the email Oliver sent yesterday. It said that Natalie had saved someone on a boat seven years ago. However, at that time, there were many people falling into the water, and the information about those who were saved could not be confirmed. But when he saw the news, he was still very excited, and what he had been waiting for all this time finally showed signs.

"You saved..." seven years ago.

"Natalie." Before Samuel could say anything, Zoe came to call her.

Seeing her, Natalie immediately lifted her feet and walked over, not paying attention to the man's unfinished question.

But even though she didn't hear, she knew what the man wanted to ask.

After all, she was the one who saved him that year.

"I thought you would take a long time." Zoe walked over and grabbed Natalie's arm.

"Come in, it's almost time to start." She smiled.

From beginning to end, she didn't look back at him, as if everything in the past, including the man who abandoned her, were like passing clouds.

After watching the play, Zoe was still a little dissatisfied when she left.

"Natalie, did your brother give you this ticket?" She went to buy the ticket, but it was too late. Tickets were only sold to the upper class, but because many people liked it, they sold out very quickly.

"Ah."

"He treated you really well." Zoe was a little jealous.

Hearing this, Natalie stopped, suddenly turned her head, and asked: "Zoe, do you like my brother?"

"What?" Zoe's face suddenly turned red. "Stop talking nonsense." Her tone was a little embarrassed.

Seeing Zoe's reaction, she curled her lips, raised her eyebrows, and smiled: "If you like him, then go after him. My brother is so good, you don't mind running away with someone else."

"What the hell?" Zoe was angry at being exposed, "But how did you know? Is it that obvious?"

This she admitted.

Natalie curled her lips slightly, pulling Zoe along with the crowd to leave.

She also accidentally discovered it, but was not sure.

Because Zoe was careless and indifferent in private matters, only in front of Nathaniel could she pretend to be obedient and polite. At first, she just thought she was afraid, but then she realized it was restraint in front of the person she liked.

"Oh, if you know, it's okay, but I know this is my unrequited love; it won't have any results." Zoe lost her initial shyness when exposed, becoming more comfortable, "He doesn't even know about this, I'm alone. How uncomfortable it is to hide it in my heart, a secret love is really painful, but now you know, I can find someone to confide in and share my feelings."

After speaking, she realized that Natalie was distracted, "Natalie. This is a big event in my life. Why are you still distracted?"

Natalie regained her composure, glanced at Zoe apologetically, "Ah, I was wrong."

"But what were you thinking just now?"

She smiled and changed the subject: "Come on, are you planning to stay here overnight?"

"Oh, let's go."

What was she thinking?

She wondered if her brother liked Zoe, liked someone so much, but because of his status and all that... and pain? But it was a one-sided love that had no end.

Thinking of this, she felt like a stone was pressing down on her heart.
