Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Ei, Come Down and Scrub My Back

Yashiori Island's sky was once again shrouded by clouds that blotted out the stars.

Purple lightning illuminated the land of Yashiori Island, thunderous roars echoing without end.

Finally, as if the rage had subsided, the sky cleared after the thunder faded, and the bright moonlight sprinkled down upon the earth once more.

Beneath the wrathful lightning...

Ei mercilessly slaughtered every last Fatui in the Delusion Factory.

Her purple eyes coldly swept over the corpses strewn across the ground. With a flick of her long sleeves, she turned and left.

Temporary residence.

Ei's figure slowly appeared at the door. Hearing the unusual sounds from deep within, she twisted her plump thighs and walked further inside.

Before long, she spotted Su Xuan's back.

"What is this..." Ei stopped beside Su Xuan, curiously eyeing the pool of water at their feet.

A thin layer of light enveloped the pool—it was clearly Su Xuan's telekinesis.

"I'm using air pressure to heat the water in the pool... for a bath."

Ei: "Uh..."

So the promised hot spring was just boiling the water?

"I never realized telekinesis could alter air pressure like this." Ei gazed at the rising steam, sighing deeply in her heart.

Powers from beyond this world were truly wondrous.

"And that's not all. Actually, I never told you—telekinesis can even pull meteorites from outside the world."

"You know Teyvat's sky is false, right? Whether one has a Vision or not, everyone has their own fate star corresponding to them up in that false heaven."

Ei: "..."

Oh no! This man wants to tell me secrets I shouldn't know again.

And should I even know that Teyvat's sky is false?

I don't know.

"When a person's life fades, their fate star dims and scatters. Those with strong wills can even cause their fate star to fall to the earth upon death."

"If I unleashed telekinesis at full power to yank a fate star from the false sky, guess what would happen."

Ei drew in a sharp breath.

She didn't answer Su Xuan's question, but she could already picture meteors raining down.

"I never imagined telekinesis had such vast applications." Ei said leisurely.

Its uses far exceeded what Su Xuan had explained before.

And that Qiankun Mirror he'd pulled out today—its ability to transcend laws had left her stunned.

She even suspected Su Xuan's talk of "unlocking power" was just modesty. The truth was, the man before her was unfathomably powerful.

Hmm... How else could he casually discuss the Heavenly Principles and know every world rule inside out?

It had to be because he was so overwhelmingly strong that the moment he arrived, he'd seen through this world's past, present, and future—seen it all.

Su Xuan, oblivious to Ei's wild speculations, lightly hooked his finger. A glob of water floated before him.

He touched it, nodded in satisfaction. "Temperature's perfect. Want to join me?"

It was just a casual invite. Ignoring the stunned Ei, Su Xuan stripped and slipped into the pool on his own.

"Hoo—feels great..."

Ei stood by, watching Su Xuan's blissful expression, and smiled unwittingly.

"What're you smiling at?" Su Xuan asked curiously.

Ei just shook her head.

In her mind, this man had probably guessed her inner fury, which was why he'd suddenly brought up the Delusion Factory.

Leaving those Fatui there—it was likely just for her to vent on.

With a pursed-lip smile at Su Xuan lounging in the pool, Ei suddenly wanted to join him too.

Undressing in front of him and sharing the pool was a bit embarrassing, but recalling the daytime body check...

Ei felt far more at ease.

But just as she'd removed her top, her entire body stiffened uncontrollably by the pool's edge.

"Mm!" Ei let out a soft,娇柔 hum.

Su Xuan lazily opened his eyes, his gaze landing on those quivering snow-white mounds.

Seeing Ei's futile struggles to move, Su Xuan realized and asked flatly, "Is the Raiden General fighting you for control of the body?"

Ei's pupils shrank.

As expected—nothing in this world escaped Su Xuan's gaze.

"Mm." Ei replied. "She's summoning me. She doesn't want me using this body anymore."

"Looks like you've figured it out. Straying from eternity violates the General's core logic of upholding it." Su Xuan chuckled, pulling out the Qiankun Mirror.

He also asked her, "A millennium of wear has eroded your will too much. If I stripped away that wear from you,"

"With your complete form, you could resist the main General's interference, right?"

Ei glanced in surprise at the hovering Qiankun Mirror and nodded silently.

Su Xuan waved his hand. The mirror immediately projected her image.

At the same time, a warm breath spread through Ei's body, rising within her.

In mere breaths, she felt so light it was like her soul might float free.

The power lost to wear... it was returning.

"This... it really can remove the wear..."

She'd been prepared, but feeling it happen still filled her with awe.

This miraculous mirror could truly defy the Heavenly Principles' world laws.

"Can you move now?" Su Xuan asked, feigning calm.

Ei nodded lightly. "Mm."

She shed the rest of her clothes and coiled up her purple braided hair.

"Since you can move... come down and scrub my back."
