At dusk, Marco stopped in front of an inn. He hadn't eaten well all day, only dry, tasteless bread, because he had little time to get money and avoid sleeping on the street. When he asked for a room, he also decided to ask for food to be brought to him.

Marco paid and headed to his room with heavy steps. He had been worried all day, although it didn't show on his face. Arriving in a different world had confused and terrified him, as he had no one there: no family, no friends, no girlfriend... not even a mother-in-law, although he felt the latter was unnecessary.
Finally, when he found a place to rest for the night, he let all his emotions out. Lying in bed, he began to hug his pillow.

He brought his hand to his face. The laughter turned into a tremor. His shoulders began to shake, and without realizing it, he squeezed the pillow tightly. His fingernails dug into the fabric.
He thought about his previous life.
He had lived life to the fullest: he had gotten married, had a dog that he loved like a child, and enjoyed new experiences that kept boredom at bay. He was grateful for every stage of his life, but now he felt empty.

But the memories only intensified a melancholy he preferred to avoid. To keep from getting carried away, he decided to change his focus and remember his performance that morning, useful but also humiliating.

He understood that it was selfish to take advantage of people, but until a better opportunity came along, he would continue to do so.
Determined not to lose his advantage, Marco decided to take action the next day.

As he was planning what to do, someone knocked on the door. An inn waiter waited a few seconds before leaving the tray in front of the room.
Marco took the tray and sat down. As he began to eat, a new screen suddenly appeared in front of him.
