?????
The title left everyone stunned. What kind of headline was this? At least it was clearer than the previous "Uruk Endures!"
But what did "hang in there" mean? Was the big brother piloting a spaceship about to face some terrifying foe?
A title alone revealed nothing.
At the very least, Kibutsuji Muzan stared at it in utter bewilderment. Fly… a spaceship?
What world did that come from—an interstellar war? Like those so-called sci-fi films shown in the multiverse projections?
If the battle was on that scale, it would be no small matter; Kibutsuji Muzan's interest sharpened.
Naruto World, Akatsuki Organization hideout.
'Spaceship?'" Deidara's eyes bulged, sparkling with excitement—clearly the word thrilled him.
Sasori also looked intrigued; he pursued eternal art, and in a sense a spaceship embodied that ideal of 'eternity.'
The rest of Akatsuki Organization, even Pain, frowned; the concept was still alien to them.
Fortunately the ever-present multiverse projections had taught them the basics: a spaceship was a vessel that could sail the cosmos.
Of everyone present, Deidara and Sasori were the most fascinated.
The others showed little overt interest—at least on the surface.
Black Zetsu, watching from the shadows, naturally furrowed his brow. As one of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's three sons, he knew the enemies his mother would one day face were not merely his two 'dear' brothers.
After freeing her, he would still have to contend with the Ōtsutsuki clan descending from the stars.
Could it be…?" Black Zetsu stared unblinking at the screen. He doubted the Ōtsutsuki would arrive aboard a spaceship, yet who could say?
So many ages had passed; perhaps they had invented something new—
such as the spaceships shown in these multiverse projections.
Imagining that scenario made Black Zetsu anxious—and furious. It was all the fault of his two 'brothers' with their talk of love and peace.
They understood nothing, yet rashly shared the Chakra their mother had given them with others.
Interesting—let's see," Pain murmured, intrigued by the spaceship. "Sounds like a battle unfolding in space.
Not necessarily,"
Uchiha Itachi interjected, joining the discussion with uncharacteristic openness. "The enemy might simply descend from the heavens.
Lord Itachi's right," Kisame agreed, nodding; he rarely watched the projections and had no clue what a spaceship even was.
If Lord Itachi said it, Kisame was inclined to believe it.
Itachi has a point," Black Zetsu echoed, well aware of Itachi's nature.
The man was a true prodigy whose intellect and power rivaled Uchiha Madara in his youth.
Had illness not eaten away at him, Uchiha Itachi might well have become the next Madara.
Were his own plans not already in motion, Black Zetsu might even have groomed Itachi as the second Uchiha Madara.
But this world already had its 'Uchiha Madara'; a second was unnecessary.
Then why does the title say, 'Hang in there, big bro flying the spaceship'?"
Hidan asked, utterly puzzled by the caption.
Perhaps… because the enemy he faces is overwhelmingly strong," Itachi replied calmly; with so little information, that was all the analysis he could offer.
One-Punch Man World.
"Sensei, what do you think?"
Genos was also giving Saitama a puzzled look, not quite grasping what the video title meant.
"Maybe he's run into some really terrifying opponent." Saitama flashed a look of profound insight and, while the screen stayed black, hurriedly fished the meat and vegetables out of the hotpot and dumped them into his own bowl.
Munching away, Saitama smirked. "Could be he met some big cosmic demon lord out in space."
"A demon lord? I see." Genos nodded thoughtfully, as if he'd just figured something out.
That left Saitama exasperated—he'd just been spouting nonsense; what on earth had Genos understood?
Glancing at the multiverse projection screen, Saitama said, "Huh? Picture's back. Is that… Earth?"
While the two were talking, footage appeared in the video. The first thing on-screen was, naturally, a city.
"Hm? This shot…"
The moment Genos saw it he froze; data flickered across his eyes. "That's… A-City?! What in the world is that?!"
"Eh? A-City?" Now Saitama caught on as well. He peered at the footage and realized it really was A-City.
After all, Hero Association HQ stood right there—an unmistakable landmark anyone from this world could spot at a glance.
"Is it Sensei's turn to appear?!" Genos was practically buzzing; in his mind, only his teacher could make this highlight reel.
Among the Hero Association and everyone he knew, there simply weren't any other powerhouses worthy of this ultimate hype list.
"Can't put it like that, Genos." Saitama stayed modest, though his own gaze stayed glued to the screen.
It wasn't just Genos—Saitama himself was curious whether he'd show up.
Still, he rarely visited A-City, and he didn't remember smashing any spaceships there.
Once A-City appeared, every notable being in the One-Punch Man World tuned in seriously.
S-Class and A-Class heroes at the Hero Association, plus Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Garou, all turned their eyes to the video.
Was it finally their world's turn?
The footage rolled on.
Above A-City, beside Hero Association HQ, several winged bird-men launched an assault.
The leader unleashed blast after blast, proclaiming himself the Sky King and flanked by a handful of lackeys.
Just as everyone assumed these bird-men were the threat, the scene cut.
The bird-men plummeted, apparently killed in an instant.
The self-proclaimed Sky King now lay split in two.
"What was that?"
"No idea."
"It flew toward me, so I killed it."
"I find that acceptable."
"Mission: protect the ship."
A five-headed, winged alien appeared, conversing with himself, a blood-stained axe in hand.
Clearly he'd just slain the so-called Sky King.
Behind him loomed a colossal alien warship, hovering and pulsing with violet light.
Boom—!!!
A deafening explosion rocked the screen!!
