The video rolled on; a girl sprinted forward with a katana in hand.
It was Akame, of course; seeing the scene, she looked shocked.
"An armor that houses an ancient life and evolves without end."
"Hey, Akame, you're here!" Beside her, Sheele smiled. "I'm so glad you didn't die."
"Looks like Akame, like Tatsumi, joined the final battle," Brand said, clearly happy she lived.
"I died pretty badly, but it's good to witness the end," Lubbock added lightly, unfazed by his own death.
Because the one he loved was still alive, and that was enough.
"Hmph!"
Mine snorted. Though relieved Akame survived, she felt awkward remembering her death scene had been kissing Tatsumi.
She admitted she liked him, but not to that extent... Glancing at the multiverse projection, she blushed at Tatsumi's determined eyes.
Why did he look so cool in this footage?
"..."
Akame said nothing; she clenched her fists, staring hard at Tatsumi on the screen. If she appeared in the video, she'd be fighting beside him.
Against something as mighty as the nation-protecting machine god, Tatsumi couldn't fight alone.
No one in any world believed Tatsumi would face the nation-protecting machine god by himself.
The gap was simply too vast.
Everyone saw it as one-sided; only by uniting every force could they hope to win.
WHHHHM—!!!
Right then, a red laser lanced from the nation-protecting machine god's forehead.
Every eye locked on the screen; everyone was already waiting for the fight's final verdict.
Saitama showed no emotion.
Genos remained perfectly calm.
Gilgamesh wore a delighted smile.
Kibutsuji Muzan sneered.
Agatsuma Zenitsu looked worried.
Inosuke was practically vibrating, itching to take Tatsumi's place.
Tanjiro's face brimmed with trust—he believed the boy could beat the nation-protecting machine god.
BOOM—!!!
With the roar of the blast, a golden figure burst from the smoke and shot skyward.
'Incursio's changed?!' Lubbock exclaimed; he knew the armor well after years fighting beside Brand.
Long familiarity meant each knew every trick the other's Teigu possessed.
'No—it's evolved,' Brand said at once, eyes fixed on Tatsumi. 'His resolve forced Incursio to evolve.'
'But… that's not good news.'
Watching the screen, Najenda's face darkened; an evolution meant the weapon was swallowing its wielder.
Use a Teigu too often in too short a time and the backlash comes for you.
The Tatsumi on-screen now wielded tremendous power—but risked being devoured by it.
WHOOSH—!!!
On-screen, Tatsumi beat his wings and streaked toward the nation-protecting machine god.
'Stay away—stay AWAY!!!!'
The boy-emperor shrieked in terror as Tatsumi bore down on him.
He sensed death approaching.
Fear cranked the nation-protecting machine god to full power; its mouth gaped and a scarlet laser spewed forth.
Its hands released a storm of beams.
A sky-filling barrage rushed to obliterate Tatsumi.
He spiraled through the air, slipping every shot in a dazzling dance.
Finally he became a golden comet, ramming straight at the Machine God's belly.
CRACK—!!!
The blow ripped an anguished howl from the little emperor inside.
'That's—its weak spot!!!' Night Raid's members brightened.
Even the mightiest Teigu has a flaw.
The future—shown on the screen—had already revealed it: the seemingly ironclad abdomen.
Type-Moon/Fate World
'Hmph.' Gilgamesh swirled his wine, contempt curling his lip. A fine weapon wasted on so pathetic a pilot.
One scream told him the brat had never seen a battlefield.
In resolve he was outclassed by the white-armored boy fighting for his fallen comrades.
The outcome was already decided.
One-Punch Man World
'Looks settled,' Saitama said, watching the golden glow around Tatsumi. 'Nice punch—clean and smart.'
He praised the boy; in raw power, even enhanced, Tatsumi couldn't match the Machine God.
But he found the weakness and struck it with everything he had.
It reminded Saitama of his own first victory—an ordinary man who beat a Monster by out-thinking it.
That moment had set him on the path to becoming a hero for fun.
'GYAAAAAAAAAA—!!!'
With that roar Tatsumi punched clean through the nation-protecting machine god, toppling it.
A stone spur jutted from his own gut, but he was still standing—still alive!!!
'YEAHHHHH!!!!'
At Night Raid Headquarters Brand swept Tatsumi into a bear-crushing hug. 'You did it, kid!'
'Ha… haha…'
Tatsumi laughed awkwardly, lost for words.
Was that really him on the screen? He'd become that strong?
The moment felt unreal.
Demon Slayer World
'He did it!' Tanjiro leapt from his bed, overjoyed that Tatsumi, carrying his comrades' will, had beaten the nightmare foe.
'See that?! Even a so-called guardian god can fall!'
Inosuke shoved his face into the stunned Zenitsu's. 'Told you it had a weak spot—anything with a weak spot can be beaten!'
He laughed loud and long.
Zenitsu could only gape; for once he had no comeback.
Then all three sensed something wrong.
The video wasn't ending]
