Chapter 67 - chapter 66

Chapter 66 – "Everyone"

It was war.

Two men stood alone against a flood of monsters. The Dominators didn't make demands, didn't negotiate, didn't explain. They simply attacked, shrieking in mechanical voices:

"Metahuman… threat."

Barry was a lightning storm. Blurs of red and gold ripped through the battlefield as he dodged, struck, dodged again. But even speed had its limits. There were too many. They were coordinated. They learned.

Dante was chaos.

He moved like a phantom carved from darkness and fury. The Void Force shimmered around his body, red and black lightning lashing outward. His hands became weapons—blades, claws, energy spikes. He danced through the Dominators like a reaper on a mission.

For a moment, the war felt winnable.

Until it wasn't.

A Dominator managed to track Barry mid-run and, with one vicious swing, landed a blow to Barry's ribs. The speedster was launched across the park like a ragdoll, crashing into the asphalt and bouncing twice before he finally stopped, coughing blood.

"Barry!" Caitlin's voice screamed through the comm.

Dante froze.

Something inside him snapped.

No words.

No jokes.

No hesitation.

He became death.

The Void surged, wrapping around his fists and legs. He didn't strike to disable—he struck to end. Heads were torn from bodies. Limbs were ripped free and hurled. Energy exploded from his hands in short, furious bursts. Dominators fell in dozens, their bodies twisted, burned, or split in half.

He was a storm of rage. A god of wrath.

And even that wasn't enough.

They kept coming. Their numbers multiplied like ants in fire.

Dante could feel the fatigue crawling up his spine. His breath was tightening. The Void wanted more, but his body was running out of fuel. He couldn't hold this pace forever.

So, he did the only thing he could.

He grabbed Barry, who was barely conscious, and vanished in a blur of red and shadow.

S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex

The breach portal opened with a violent pulse, and Dante stumbled into the Cortex carrying Barry like a broken doll. He dropped him on the nearest table, his chest rising and falling like he just sprinted a hundred miles underwater.

"Okay…" Dante gasped, reaching into his coat for a cigarette, lighting it with a spark from his fingertip. "This is not Goku. And I'm pissed."

Caitlin was already by Barry's side, gloves on, scanning him with one hand while injecting something into his neck with the other. "He's stable. Bruised ribs. Internal bleeding, but nothing I can't patch."

Barry groaned as the meds kicked in. "I've had… better mornings."

Across the room, Cisco and Wells were digging through encrypted ARGUS files, lines of alien text and data filling every screen. Cisco typed like a man possessed. "These things aren't random. This was a targeted landing."

Wells nodded grimly. "They've studied us. They know our powers. They're not here to explore. They're here to eradicate."

Dante leaned back, exhaling smoke toward the ceiling. "You think this is about metahumans?"

"It is," Caitlin said without looking up. "They're threatened by us."

"Good," Dante muttered. "Let them be."

Barry, still recovering, sat up slowly. "We can't win this alone."

Dante raised an eyebrow. "Oh, you wanna go find Goku now?"

Barry ignored him and looked at Cisco. "We need to call them."

Cisco blinked. "You sure? We haven't exactly had group hugs with all of them lately."

"We don't have a choice."

Dante leaned forward, frowning. "Who are you calling?"

Barry looked at him, blood still on his lip, eyes tired but fierce.

"Everyone."

---

Dante leaned against the table, arms folded.

He knew Arrow—Ollie was intense, stubborn, and surprisingly funny in a dry, sarcastic way.

He'd fought alongside the Legends once, though they mostly confused the hell out of him.

But "everyone"… that meant more. People he hadn't met. People powerful enough that Barry felt the need to pull the emergency alarm.

"What exactly do you mean by everyone?" Dante asked, more curious than worried now.

Barry nodded toward Cisco. "Open the Beacon."

Cisco hesitated. "This is gonna ping a lot of people."

"Do it."

Cisco pressed a button.

A low hum filled the Cortex. Every monitor turned blue. A ripple of light flashed through the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite network.

Beacon activated.

Across the multiverse—or at least across Earth Prime—metahumans, heroes, and vigilantes would get the signal: Code Red. Help Needed. Central City. Immediate Threat.

Dante looked at Barry. "You're betting on people. What if they don't come?"

Barry smiled faintly. "They always do."

---

Meanwhile…

Somewhere in Gotham, a red symbol blinked on a private screen. A gloved hand reached for a cowl.

On Lian Yu, a green arrow pierced a tree—and a voice muttered, "Time to suit up."

In 2046, steel wings opened and a voice said, "Guess the timeline's broken again."

And somewhere in a quiet apartment, a girl with glowing hands looked up and whispered, "It's time."

---

Back in the Cortex, Dante's cigarette burned out between his fingers. He flicked the ash into a beaker.

"So… you're really putting this on the whole gang?"

Barry sat up straighter. "We're not just fighting for Central City. If we fall, they go next."

Wells turned to them, adjusting his glasses. "We don't know what kind of numbers they have. But if that was just a scout party…"

Cisco interrupted. "Then we're royally screwed."

Everyone went quiet.

Dante looked down at the suit Cisco made him, the blood still drying across his gloves.

He hated team-ups. He hated speeches. He hated expectations.

But he also hated losing.

"I'm not promising I'll hold hands and sing Kumbaya," he said, stepping toward the main console. "But if this is the apocalypse, I call first blood."

Cisco smirked. "That's the spirit."

Barry looked up toward the ceiling like he could already hear them coming—planes, portals, speed trails, wings.

They were calling in everyone.

And the Dominators had no idea what was coming.
