Misty giggled and leaned in to whisper to Princess Candula, "they are not his royal something, they are his elite warrior. Only you have royal guards." Princess Candula's face got a little red and covered her face. The rest looked a little confused, except for Godric. He understood that Princess Condula would have to get used to the ways in the beast world because her parents chose to shelter her from it due to a threat. Then Princess Candula cleared her throat and said "What I meant to say was that just as your elite warriors to bring Leonidas, please."
Apollo asked, "why the secrecy?" Godric was about to retort for asking the Princess for a reason, but Princess Candula answered before he could say a word. "I will tell after you do what I asked, now hurry, there's no time to waste." Apollo did as she was told and went to speak to his elite. When he arrived he noticed Zodiac pacing like a mad beast. Barely a sign of a sound mind. Zodiac looked at him with eyes that had red veins popping out and asked, "Well. Where is the murderer?" Apollo sent off half his team and only gave Zodiac a stare.
Apollo began to walk away and return to the princess when Zodiac growled to get his attention. "Are you not angry that your mentor is dead now? That the murderer is hiding behind the wolves now?" Apollo looked at him, "I am Angry! But you are not a friend of my mentor! It surprises me how angry you are now." Zodiac growled and said, "you know nothing about my friendship with Leonidas, "if it were not for him I would not be here." Apollo took a few steps forward to Zodiac to look at him right in the eyes and focused his gaze. "What did you say?" asked Apollo with a low tone, but firm. "I said, had it not been for Leonidas I would not be here. He invited me to this place and betrayed the royals." Apollo got furious and yelled, "That's a lie! My mentor would never betray the royals! He lived by their teachings and was always loyal to them as I will be to the Princess!" Zodiac gave him a side smirk, "The princess was killed when the royals fled for their safety." Apollo was about to pounce on Zodiac and tell him otherwise when Alpha Kane arrived and quickly pulled him away. Then Alpha Kane said, "remember what I told you! Calm yourself!" Apollo bit his lip and shoved Alpha Kane off of him and walked away.
Zodiac was about to leave when Alpha Kane said, "You stay, we need to talk to you too." Zodiac turned around to reply, "do you think you can stop me from leaving?" Alpha Kane said, "there are more than enough warriors here that can detain you if possible. I would rather not hold you like a prisoner." Zodiac looked at him in silence and said, "If I don't see Godric in chains, then I will fight regardless." Alpha Kane growled and responded, "is that a threat?" Zodiac gave him an indifferent look and said, "you decide if it is." Then he proceeded to walk away. Kane wanted to go after him, but Apollo placed his hand on his shoulder. Then he said to him, "let him go, once we clear things up, I will join you. Right now we are divided."
Zodiac was headed to his clan to gather his own subjects. The ones he has been grooming since they were young. He tried to groom the adults, but they were resistant to his attempts. The younger ones were more receptive to his teachings. They were easily manipulated to do his bidding. He cursed Leonidas who stood between him and Apollo. If that old Lion would have passed away sooner, he would have solidified his alliance with the lion clan long ago, but Leonidas always stood close to Apollo. Then there was this sudden change of air from Apollo. He was certain that the Princess lived. That's why he said what he said. At first he wanted to change the narrative to get Apollo on his side since Leonidas wouldn't be alive to confirm what he said. On top of that, he wanted to know what Apollo was up to when he sent those elite warriors away. He wanted to follow them right away, but that meddling wolf stopped him. Those elite warriors had a head start and there wouldn't be enough time to get the rest of his followers. He was walking fast, but then it turned into a run. The Princess must be back, that's why they have assembled and she's in the wolf territory, he thought.
When Apollo returned with Kane, Princess Candula was sitting down chatting with Misty of what she learned the royals were like. Although Princess Candula learned from her books, there wasn't an instruction manual there to help her manage her new role in the beast world. She was grateful for being found by the wolf clan and taking it right away. They had been very kind to her so far and she even met Agatha who would have loved to see her now. Princess Candula's heart tightens, thinking of how happy Agatha would be to address her formally and openly. A tear drop fell from her eye and she told herself, "I'm sorry for not allowing you that small gift of happiness. Godric noticed the Princess holding her chest with a pained expression on her face and immediately went to her. He asked, "are you okay princess? Did you hurt yourself?" Princess Candula smiled and dried her eyes to say, "I'm fine, I was just thinking of my nana that recently passed." That's right, Agatha was her mother's nana and now she was hers too. It made her chest tighten again. Godric asked, "your nana?" Then Misty looked at him with empathy in her eyes, "Agatha, she recently passed. Her ceremony was not too long ago." Gocrid knew Agatha and he lowered his head for a few moments. Droplets of tears fell on the ground and then he dried his face too. "Agatha was one of the most loyal trusted females I ever met. We served your parents together. I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye due to this war."
Misty placed her hand on his arm and said, "She lived a fulfilled life and kept the Princess safe. She was only waiting to fulfill her duty and the farewell was the most joyful one in years because the Princess returned to not just heal the beast, but the land aswell." Godric nodded in agreement.
