Princess Candula was still pondering on what she just heard when one of the guards from the gate arrived and announced that Apollo was there with his elite squad already in humanoid form. Alpha Kane growled and looked at Princess Candula to receive instructions. It took Princess Candula a moment to gather herself and said. "Only Apollo should be allowed to enter. No one else. That is final and I will not negotiate." Alpha Kane liked the order. It was decisive and not up for debate.
When Alpha Kane arrived at the gate, he saw Zodiac who looked like he was frantic and about to burst. Zodiac was pacing with his form flexing. He was ready to pounce any second. Alpha Kane then said, "Apollo, you are the only who can enter." Before Apollo could retort Zodiac growled loudly and yelled, "Are you kidding? Apollos' mentor has been killed in cold man by Godric who you are harvesting in your clan!" Zodiac was pointing at Alpha Kane. Then Zodiac continued to protest, "this is not the time to protect your father's old friend. It's the time to bring justice!" Alpha Kane just stood there unphased by Zodiac's words. However, Apollo was starting to feel the fire those words carried. Then Alpha Kane said in a calm tone, "Its not up for debate. Apollo goes in by himself. If he truly wants to get to the bottom of it, then Apollo will agree without your interference." Zodiac was more furious, not only was he being dismissed, but this wolf man that was a snotty little pup and he saw grow before his eyes now acted as if he was someone to fear. Zodiac did fake laugh and said, "why are you trying to get him alone? Are you plotting something?" Alpha Kane scowled at first, but then he inhaled a deep breath of air and held it in for ten seconds before realizing it. He replied, "Apollo comes in alone or no one does." Apollo was weighing his options, to get to Godric he would have to go through all the warriors that are guarding the walls. With the men he brought, they would not get far, even with Zodiac who was a freak of nature. Apollo didn't say anything, he just started walking. Zodiac reached for his hand to convince him to take him with him, but Apollo pulled his hand away and said, "Its fine. My mentor Leonidas has always held respect for the clans that served the royals. He taught me that they would not be so hasty in acting reckless. There must be a good reason why only I am allowed." Zodiac already knew that, he just wanted to confirm the reason for himself.
As they made their way to the hut where Princes Condula was, Apollo was looking around at the beast people. They seemed calm regardless of his elite standing outside their gate. There wasn't a hint of fear in them. Not only were they not scared, they looked happy and healthy. Then his jaw dropped as he saw so many females with pregnant bellies. He asked himself, how is this possible? How can so many healthy females be walking around like this after so much war and anxiety of war. He was lucky to see one or two females pregnant during the season. But even if they were pregnant it wasn't a guarantee that their baby or that they will survive.
He kept looking at the village. It was mesmerizing to Apollo to see the condition of the beat people in this clan. He did hear rumors of the wolves discovering some miraculous way to heal. But he left it to just rumors. Then he got to a hunt, but before he entered Alpha Kane stopped in front of him and looked at him directly into his eyes to say, "Who you see inside is to be kept quiet. But your situation will be addressed." Apollo made a face of what the heck.
Apollo went into the hut and as he entered he saw this magical creature standing before him. A female with eyes that sparkled like jewels. She had two big horns that spiraled up and marking all over her body that looked like vines of a tree rich in color that resembled the skies. She wore a sleeveless dress and a sheer covering. She smelled wonderful, like the morning rain in the forest and sweet flowers. Then as he got closer he smelled a very light hint of maturity. A female coming of age for motherhood. Apollo stopped walking for fear of wanting to do much more. He was still not mated and she smelled so great. His face turned slightly red. He didn't know what creature was standing before him, but he felt extremely attracted to her and wanted to protect her instinctively.
Then Godric roared and yelled angrily, "kneel before your princess! Did Leonidas not teach you manners!" Apollo forgot why he was there for a slight moment due to Princess Cadulas' beauty. He looked at Godric angrily, but Godric roared again and yelled, "I said kneel!" Princess Candula instinctively let out her energy in the room. She meant to sooth the room over, but after the second roar, her energy changed to authority. She said ,"Stop." as her energy hit everyone. They froze as it was sternly touched by a mother but lovingly at the same time. Apollo kneeled right away. "I apologize Princess Candula for roaring in anger in your presence," said Godric. Apollo's eyes widened as he was still kneeling and looking at the floor. Princess Candula said, "you may rise." Apollo got up and thought to himself, she is my princess? The same one Leonidas mentioned to me many times during my training? She is far more beautiful than what he described. Then he shook his head, and remembered he was there to seek justice for Leonidas and spoke, "Princess, I have made my trip here to seek justice for my mentor. Godric was the last one with my mentor Leonidas before he was found dead. I wish to take him with me."
Princess Candula stood there looking at both individuals, then raised her hand to silence Godric before he spoke to silence him. She said, "bring his body to me and I will try to revive him or perform an autopsy if he is truly dead." Apollo furrowed his brow and asked, "what's an autopsy?" Princess Candula forgot those are terms only humans use. "It's an investigation of the cause of death." Seeing that Apollo was still confused, Princess Candula said, "I can heal beasts with my powers. I was hiding among the wolves while I was able to learn to control my power. Before I arrived, I learned a lot in the other world. I can do a test on a body and find out how something died. Without Godric telling me anything, I can figure it out." Apollo stood there thinking about it. This was after all the princess and the royals did bring the beast people come to be, she must be right. He nodded in agreement and was about to leave when Princess Candula said, "Please only order your royal subjects of this instruction to retrieve the body. Do not give out any reasons and you will wait with us until the body arrives. There may still be time to salvage the situation.
