Anya had no idea what happened, but she knew she just healed the foxman's mate and that made her happy. She looked at Chief-Alpha Kane and said, "there is no need to travel. His mate is well now. I will leave instructions for Agatha to hand to him. I feel drained and need some rest. She reached for Agatha, who was standing there watching in the back. While trying to keep her balance, she told Agatha that foxman's mate was carrying a pup and she needed a nutritional list of things to eat for her to keep her healthy. Agatha gasped at the news that DoctorAnya just gave her. It was extraordinary that she was able to heal from a distance. She was truly Princess Calendula. Her mother could do something similar where she can travel and return without anyone noticing. Due to Princess Calendula's ability, she was able to tell another female was having trouble during pregnancy and heal her right away. It was indeed a miracle because thuis was one of the leading causes for the beastwomen to lose their life. Without care she could've had a grave ending. Agatha asked, "Do you need anything? Like tea that helps you recover?" Anya shook her head and said, "No, I only need to rest. I feel more relaxed next to that tree where the kids play. She was talking about a willow tree that was surrounded by flowers and it looked like it bloomed year round. It was the most magical place in their village. Each village was built around trees that grew on highly magical lands. It made them feel connected to home, like a battery for them. Something Anya picked up naturally. She was just following her instinct and didn't have any logical explanation for it. Agatha helped her to get there. She had a feeling that it was probably Anya's overuse of power to heal someone long distance that caused her to feel depleted. There was also something that Agatha wanted to tell Princess Calendula, but wanted to wait until she rested. Agatha wished she could address the Princess formally, but she respected her wish. She only hoped that one day she could see her fully transformed, but she sensed that was something that would not come to pass. Either way, she fulfilled her long life wish.
Anya fell asleep, which seemed like hours to her, because when she woke up, she thought it was the next day. But when she saw a guard pass by she asked, "what happened to the foxman?" The guard said, "he is still being instructed by Agatha. I was asked to keep you safe." Then Anya asked, "what day is it?" The Wolfman replied, "It's still the same day, you've only slept for one hour." Anya didn't know how to explain that she felt really charged up. She then noticed that her hands started to show faded patterns of branches in different colors. When she tried to fix her hair, she realised she had tiny lumps in her head. She didn't know what was happening. Did she bump her head while she laid down? She needed a mirror and she got up really fast to go to the spring lake nearby. She then looked at her reflection. Though they were small, she definitely had two bumps growing at the top of her head.
Anya didn't know how to explain it to herself. She began to pace around the lake trying to find a logical solution to her marks and her bumps. She was going through all her biology information in her head. It's like a rapid adaptation response that she is having on her environment. She has been eating the naturally grown vegetation, but it doesn't seem close to it being the reason for her change. The food seems similar to what she consumed back home. It could be evolution at rapid speed because of the time difference. Her human cells have been adapting at a micro level that she is just now seeing changes in her physical form. Could it be that the meat she is eating is beastpeople? Oh no, she's been eating deerpeople. Her face turned pale for a moment thinking of the possibility. She was about to throw up when Agatha arrived.
Anya was a little shaken up that she jumped when the sudden person came to her view and almost fell in the water. Agatha manages to catch her hand in time to help her regain her footing. "My dear, what in the heavens is going on with you?" Agatha asked. Anya slouched and was resuming her sick feeling while asking, "deer?" Angatha waited for Anya to continue her question. Then Anya inhaled and exhaled in long breaths. She then asked, "Are we eating deerpeople?" Agatha's face dropped and asked, "deerpeople? Where would you get that idea? There's no such thing as deer people." Anya felt slightly relieved, but then asked, "why isn't there?" Agatha began to look up to find the answer in her head. "When the beast people first started to be transformed, the royal family left some herbivores and carnivores in their natural forms because they felt that it would make us feel sick in our minds. It didn't make sense until the original beast people started questioning right from wrong. Then the royal family made a few rules for us to follow, but the rest was up to us to discover. We hunt only what will be consumed, nothing more because it will go bad and disturb the balance of our food's population. That was one of the rules established by the royal family."
Anya could breathe a little better now that she knew she wasn't consuming beast people. Then Agatha asked, "why did you think we were eating beast people?" Anya, now embarrassed, placed her two index fingers together and said, "because I have two lumps on my head and markings that are beginning to appear." Agatha giggled a little and said, "how is that related to eating beast people." Anya was about to explain she thought it was due to evolution by mutation, but she decided she would end up giving her an entire lecture for her to understand. So she said, " I didn't know how to explain it. It's like if I ate too many of those purple berries, then my tongue gets blue. I thought it was the same." Agatha had another chuckle. At this point Anya felt like a child that was being laughed at for her creative ideas. She didn't like it, but she didn't say anything. Then Agatha said, "you are transforming into your adult stage." Anya was speechless at first. Did Agatha just say she is reaching adult stage when she is an adult by human standards. Anya was trying to process those words still. She's in her late twenties and headed to her early thirties very soon. How can she be just reaching adult stage? Still confused, she turned to look at Agatha to continue. She wanted more answers and it seems like maybe Agatha knew them or at least she thinks Agatha has some answers she hasn't explored because this environment is all new to her.
