The tranquility of the Godw fields was nothing more than a carefully maintained facade. While Volt was laboring over his potato patches under the hawk-like gaze of Vanessa, a cosmic catastrophe was unfolding in the 10th Dimension. Anos and Akuto stood at the center of a blinding white void where the laws of conventional physics ceased to exist. Before them stood an army of "Cosmic Remnants"—beings forged from the data of the very multiverses Volt had erased in his former life.
Anos checked his wristwatch, an artifact he had manifested using Time Manipulation to keep track of Godw Standard Time. "We have exactly twenty minutes before mother calls us for lunch. Akuto, we need to end this immediately. No theatrics."
Akuto, with the dark roots of Sakuna coiling around his forearms like living shadows, flashed a predatory grin. "Don't worry. I'll handle the Information Manipulation of this sector. You just focus on the Ability Killing. Let's make them forget they ever existed."
The enemy vanguard charged, led by a commander radiating a chaotic aura. "We will rewrite reality!" the commander bellowed, his voice echoing through the vacuum. "We will avenge the Author and the worlds your father deleted!" But before he could even raise his weapon, Anos simply looked at him. With a single thought, the concept of "Reality Warping" within the commander was snuffed out. The creature froze, realizing he was now nothing more than harmless data in an empty void. Anos whispered, "My father said we're on a tight schedule." In an instant, the commander and thousands of soldiers behind him dissolved into nothingness, erased from the narrative itself.
Back on the farm, Volt felt the massive shockwave of the 10th Dimension's collapse. He immediately utilized Reality Warping to dampen the vibrations before they could reach the farmhouse. Vanessa stuck her head out of the kitchen window. "Volt! Was that an earthquake? The floor just shook!"
Volt laughed nervously, leaning on his shovel. "No, darling! Just the chickens. One of them had a very... energetic sneeze!" He muttered under his breath, "Anos, son, destroy those universes a little more quietly, will you?"
At that moment, Sasha and Karina walked into the garden. Sasha, ever the observant one, looked at Volt with a squinted eye. "My Lord, I know Anos and Akuto aren't really here. Those illusions you've placed in the field are perfect, but they smell like high-level Probability Manipulation."
Karina hissed, "Sasha, be quiet! If Lady Vanessa finds out we're all complicit in this, she'll exile us to the laundry room for a decade!"
Alisa, perched on a fence, was recording the whole scene on her phone. "This is gold! 'The God of Godw caught lying to his wife.' This is going to trend in at least five parallel dimensions."
In the 10th Dimension, the battle was over. However, a problem arose. A drop of "Primal Ichor"—the blood of an ancient cosmic deity—had splashed onto Anos's white shirt. Anos turned pale. "Akuto! This is ancient blood! It doesn't follow the laws of physics! It won't wash out!"
Akuto looked panicked. "Quick! Use Physics Manipulation to invert the color spectrum of your shirt! Maybe she won't notice if it's black!"
They warped back to the farm just as the clock hit noon. Vanessa stepped onto the porch with a steaming tray of food. She looked at Anos and Akuto, who were both breathing heavily and covered in a faint cosmic dust. "Finished your chores, boys?"
Anos stammered, "Yes, mother! The weeds were... exceptionally resilient today!"
Vanessa turned her gaze toward Volt. "And Volt, why did you use Higher Dimension Manipulation to keep the chickens silent? I haven't heard a single cluck in an hour."
Volt, the man who had executed his own Author, offered a charming, sheepish smile. "I just wanted to ensure a peaceful atmosphere for our family lunch, my dear."
This was their life; on one hand, protecting the very fabric of existence from total annihilation, and on the other, the genuine terror of missing a hot meal due to the wrath of the household's true queen. As they sat down to eat, the multiverse remained safe, and more importantly, the potatoes were served on time.
