Chapter 94:
Julie's Point of View
Suddenly, I felt a coarse hand clamp onto my arm and pull me with a swift force into the room before the door slammed shut behind me with a muffled creak.
I retreated until my back hit the solid wood, panting in terror, only to find myself face-to-face with the same guard. He was bare-chested, his lean, muscular abs clearly defined under the room's dim light.
The space was cramped, containing nothing but a simple bed, a small television, and a worn-out wooden wardrobe.
He fixed his sharp gaze on me and asked in a dry tone:
"What are you doing here?"
I swallowed hard and tried to straighten my shirt with trembling hands, saying:
"I just wanted to see what was here."
He exhaled with annoyance and looked away:
"Fine... your curiosity is starting to become terrifying."
I whispered while trying to calm my heartbeat:
"Thank you for saving me."
